Kris - I'm so glad and happy to hear the "good" news about Ed's tests and what it isn't - and pray for good results. edit: my "preview" button doesn't work

Kris, that is wonderful news and must be such a huge relief. Now that the doctor knows what is causing the digestive upsets and weight loss he can treat the specific problems.

Topa, I noticed that cool woody station wagon picture that you posted for the party. The artist is really good! That's a special grocery store with original artwork being displayed on its signs like that. Please share more when you get a chance.Love the photos of your grandchildren. Bailla looks like Pebbles with her hair up like that, really cute. Penny, nice that you will be able to harvest your neighbour's garden.

You are so right Carole There is a wildlife rescue organization but they are operating on a bit of a shoestring and we're talking about at least 10 adult sized habituated bears Maybe if people step up with some donations they will be able to take them all There are some really cute bear 's on their website here:Northern Lights Wildlife Society "This shelter has become an expert in bear rehabilitation. Up to January of 2010 a total of 160 black bears, 4 Grizzly Bears and 2 Kermode bears have found a temporary home here and have been or will be released to the wild. With many other shelters unable to work with such large mammals, due to space and/or housing restrictions, the Smithers shelter has become a last refuge for bears from all over BC." |

Well, you guys may not believe me but there was an adult :soar: with a juvie over my house when I went to my neighbor's garden earlier today. Her next door neighbors were outside turning their compost and tending to their garden and Kate says to me...."I just saw a bald eagle and a golden eagle fly quite low overhead"....and I said..."you mean an adult flying with a juvie bald eagle?" and she says "YES it must have been a juvie." I asked her where they went and she points to my house and I couldn't believe it, there they were going higher into the thermals Of course, no because no camera Apparently they have been hanging out not too far from me along the river. Remember I did tell you that one of my neighbors said one of the adults liked to perch in his cottonwood along the river bank? He hasn't been back yet this year that they have seen though so maybe the eagles just 'moved' farther downstream. I am going to go looking to see if I can find the nest when the leaves have dropped later in the fall. Will keep my eyes peeled when I take Siobhan for her walks in case the juvie is still coming back to the nest

I have a cat picture calendar. Some days have a little saying.... today is: The cat is a creature of most refined and subtle perceptions naturally ~ Roger A Caras (hmmmm)
