![]() Daizy the Baby Elephant Having a Ball! Little Daizy was actually born at Albuquerque's Rio Grande Zoo last year, but these adorable pictures just came to our attention so we thought we'd share them. This was the first baby for Daizy's mom, Rozie. The pregnancy was recommended by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' Species Survival Plan for Asian elephants. Because Rozie has no siblings, she is genetically unique. Her calf adds to the diversity and strength of the North American population of Asian elephants http://www.zooborns.com/zooborns/2010/08/baby-elephant-is-having-a-ball.html. ![]() Back to school supplies. peta2 Elephants Never Forget Recycled Necklace http://www.petacatalog.com/products/peta2_Elephants_Never_Forget_Recycled_Necklace-443-0.html |

Kris I was quite moved by your story about the loss the Tongva sacred sites yesterday. Very interesting about the glyphs in the Laguna Canyon Crop Circle too. Thanks for keeping us educated about all this when you have so much else on your plate right now and for Ed too.

Two of the flower fields we passed in Lompoc on our Manifold cooking tour to Los Alamos(sorry they're not sharp, we're going about 35mph in our Model A's & we're in a line with 8 other A's so we can't stop!)-![]() ![]() I got to snuggle with our friends kitten yesterday(she's on my knee & I didn't have my close up lens, so again, not a sharp photo!), what a purr motor she had! No name yet, they're trying to think of names for the two sisters they kept from the litter (the two boys their son kept are named Lewis & Clark!)-
