Eaglepedia Revisited June 6, 2007 Part IV - The eaglets will spot their parents off in the distance as they approach with food and will scream and whine very loudly. Sometimes, the adults will turn away from the nest, perching nearby before bringing the food to the nest. It is believed that this may be due to the reluctance of the parents who knows what is waiting for them at the nest - "attacking" eaglets! Penny, we had a couple of really warm days this last week, like close to 90F, then yesterday it suddenly cooled off, and then today it's cooler still. For the past two years we've had cooler than normal Spring seasons. Of course, last year that translated to a cooler than normal Summer, which I'll take anytime. I hate the triple digit temps of the Summer......that's when I began wishing we had a second home up near Lake Tahoe. I've been trying to cultivate that idea in my dh's head now that we're both retired, well I am, he's quasi retired.....but he just looks at me and smiles serenely......

I know what you mean about triple digit heat Michele I lived in Pakistan for almost 3 years as a child and there was no AC We all would wear heavy coats and sweaters when the temps got down to mid 70's because we were freezing Now I find that is really the best heat for me...just right, not too hot

I know, Penny....it's all relative!!! It always occurs to me that going from Winter into Spring, that I pull my shorts outta the drawer as soon as the temp climbs to 70F......but going from Summer to Fall, I pull out my long pants as soon as the temps dip to 70F.....
