We have 2 new prizes to choose from as Dr. Sharpe had on his thinking cap while on a little vacation:  A Bone Clone Bald Eagle Egg - one that was in a Catalina nest during the time that IWS was fostering chicks. The "fake" egg was placed into a nest so that the parents would continue to incubate. The "real" egg was removed by Dr. Sharpe and taken to the IWS incubation unit for care until it hatched! The chick was then returned to the nest for the parents to assume care while the "fake" egg was retrieved and brought back to the IWS office! So this "fake" egg has spent a month being incubated by mom/dad bald eagles! An outstanding gift indeed! Something special for a bald eagle lover/supporter! PLUS a chance to name a chick ! How about them apples?  Wow, for a chance like that ! What a treat that would be to have a chick YOU named to be flying the friendly skies over the US and California and the Channel Islands. DIG DEEP, MY FRIENDS, we have two (2) wonderful extra prizes added to an already wonderful list to choose from. These are great incentives to donate to IWS to help our marvelous eagles during our Nest Adoption Campaign. Thank You and Have a GREAT Mothers Day ! |

 Happy Mother's Day Peeps...... Anna, I LOVE your Mother's Day presentation today!!! The photo of Pete talking to the eaglet is a priceless one.....and the apple graphic is spectacular......Great Job!!!  Penny, that pix of the colt with it's mommy is just gorgeous.....that will stay in my mind long after Mother's Day. Topa, what a great slogan you came up with......"Take A Bite Out Of The Costs" Carole, I love the gif you posted....I used to love searching for great graphics and pix on the internet, until twice now, I've picked up viruses from visiting, of all places, Photobucket, and then another website that had graphics. Sooooo, now I'm too wary to go back to my searching for them. Wah!!!  I enjoy seeing what you guys post though.

We have adopted 5 nests so far but we need to adopt more in order to help IWS help the eagles. And here is why: While much of IWS' Bald Eagle Restoration work is funded by the Montrose Settlements Restoration Program, there are major funding shortfalls. In 2006 and 2007, funding was cut for the Catalina Island Bald Eagle Project, so nearly all the work we conducted those two years was funded through donations. Starting in 2008, the Catalina Island and Northern Channel Islands eagle projects were combined into a single project and funding was increased. However, not all the costs of streaming our nest cams are funded. Through your contributions, we will be able to continue to upgrade and add cameras, as well as conduct those bald eagle restoration activities for which we are not funded. Your support also helps us maintain our captive eagles and their aviary, all of which is funded through donations. Your support is vital to our work. When you make a donation to NAC 2011, please make sure you specify that it is for NAC 2011 to ensure you get in on the drawings at the end of the Challenge. THERE ARE MANY LOVELY PRIZE GIFTS FOR EITHER YOURSELF OR FOR GIFTS TO AN EAGLE LOVER. Thank You for all you do to help IWS help the eagles. |
