Majestic Dreams

Posted Image

Last night, once again, I had a dream
About an eagle in the blue,
And just like all the other dreams,
Right above my head it flew.
In every dream of it I had,
It landed somewhere close by,
And each time, I was so excited
For the beauty that caught my eye.

For so long I yearned to see,
And envied those fortunate enough
To see him on the wing, being free.
When I awoke from the glorious dreams,
Some disappointment I did feel.
But then I overcame with happiness,
For the dreams had seemed so real.

Blown away - very nice post today Anna (as always)

I'm sure folks don't realize that the NAC team does not "meet" or discuss their individual posts.

Each member decides what they would like to post and works on their presentation individually and I have to say the end product is always - ALWAYS - a delightful surprise!

Thank you NAC Team for all the hard work and for sharing your eagle hearts with the world <3

I got a little caught up on Zooborns last night.
Here are two new Zoo kittens from the first page.

Clouded Leopard Cubs at 2 Months Old

Today we check back in on the Nashville Zoo's playful trio of Clouded Leopard cubs. Because of high infant mortality rates, these cubs are being hand-raised by Zoo staff. Nashville Zoo participates in the Thailand Clouded Leopard Consortium, which leads a multi-faceted conservation program that includes a viable self-sustaining breeding program. Don't miss the video below which is one part fascinating and three parts frolicking.Posted Image

Tiger Cub Goes from the Hospital
to the Kiddie Pool!

Posted Image

In September of 2010 the Pittsburgh Zoo welcomed a litter of little tiger cubs. Shortly thereafter, one of the cubs developed an infection and was hospitalized for weeks as Zoo vets struggled to save her life. Happily, by December the cub was happy and healthy and ready to be reunited with her siblings and mom. Since tiger cubs love to rough-house, keepers wrestled with the little cub to prepare her for the reintroduction. When they put out a tray of water for the active, thirsty cub, she decided to jump right in for more play time.

Posted Image
The “menacing” look on the cub’s face represent typical play behavior that helps prepare wild young cubs for hunting in the wild.

Planting the seed.

The price we must pay for happiness is generosity. Generosity isn’t easy but I guess we shouldn’t expect happiness to come easily. It has to have some cost.

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.

This is where DD Rachel and John are for Memorial Day Weekend.
One of Johns friends that he grew up with who now lives in Philadelphia and his wife are turning thirty. His parents gave them their time share in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for their 30th party. All Rachel and John have to pay for is the airfare and food.
I love Cabo <3
Nice 30th party. :D http://www.haciendadelmar.com.mx/
