 Hello, everybody. What touching graphics for Memorial Day, with lots of eagles present, too!  DH was watching the Indie 500 off and on yesterday. I watched the opening where Kelly Clarkson and Seal sang the National Anthem while David Foster played the piano. A stealth bomber (?) did a flyby and there was a huge American flag on the field being supported by military members. Even though I am a Canadian I still thought it was very heartwarming and special. They did it up right, and the singing was marvelous. Deb, your theme today is perfect! You always find the words to get the message across clearly and with pictures to match.  I love the dog photos and stories.  Robert is taking Mia and Wynn for a long walk. Hopefully they'll be tired when they get home so that we can safely put them together in the crate. We do that at night and they are fine. We have to go to the Gardening Centre. I need DH to help carry things plus he likes going. We never get to go anywhere these days together. Will check in later and will be sure to watch the WE Banding this afternoon (my time). They're home, gotta go while we have the chance! |

Penny - What an amazing artist to donate her paintings to the families of soldiers and policemen killed in the line of duty. Her work is breathtaking. I will try to view Arcturus tonight but it is very cloudy here.  Deb -  on the WE banding, it should be eggciting with the triplets.  I had a hissy fit this morning, our cable went off and I trumpeted like Wray until it came back on.  Cheryl - Have fun at the gardening centre. We still haven't bought potting soil and flowers. I'm still under the weather and Alan's back is really bothering him. We also have to remove 4 half-dead shrubs and replace them, lots of work and bad timing. |

I would have been very  if my cable had gone off too...especially today  I bought some begonias and impatients last week and have only been moving them in and out of the garage ever since  It is very overcast with  on and off here too.We ended up at Costco yesterday and they had some nice filled planters from Mother's Day which were reduced 30% so we bought two    One of them is the tall cream colored one standing to the right. The other one is in an Oriental inspired pot. Both of them have evergreen trees in them which will have to removed and planted in the ground in the fall. Hope you both are feeling better soon  Get somebody to remove the shrubs instead of doing it yourselves
