G'day Peeps! My Tuesday. I debated whether to go into work today or not, I'm busy, but decided I can force myself to be productive at home. BBob is better, thanks for asking Cheryl. Kris, thanks for the candle link. I sent a Koala hug to Bette via snail mail.... Love ALL your photos Deb. Yes, clicked all links! Yesterday I worked till 6.30pm (a 10 hr day) by the time I picked up Bob one the way home, it was 7.30. Tigs showed up immediately, HUNGRY, but we couldnt find Leo. We went out three times, calling, up and down the laneway and street, calling. By 10pm I was exhausted and went to bed, Bob took one more look outside. We kept hearing meowing but thought it was Rebecca's cat next door, it emanated from that area. Bob came in and said he was sure he could hear him, maybe under the building. So we got up again, with flashlights to look. Finally we 'cornered' the sound, Leo had been locked in an outdoor closet under Unit 6's stairs! Probably all day too. Now I am wondering what JERK locked him in there! There was a trademan here yesterday too..... If it had been a hot day, he couldve died. He was probably very cold as it was. Poor guy wont go out this morning now, traumatized. |

I will make a pdf of the 7 pages that I printed out of all of your messages to Bette & will e-mail to anyone who wants to see it. Here are the photos of the flowers I got & delivered at a couple of minutes to 6pm. They are on Bette's kitchen counter for these photos. There are 6 bouquets, 2 orchids "& 11 flowering plants. ![]() ![]() ![]() I can only hope & pray the two guys put the bouquets in water. They said Bette was asleep. There is going to be left over money & Jann thinks it would be nice to have some flowers when the ashes are scattered. It has also been suggested that we sponsor the cams in Bette's memory (Oct. 3rd would be a good day to do that-her & Mike's anniverary) and I think perhaps you all might be fine with the balance going to IWS in Bette's honor. Perhaps we could also put a plaque up at Pimu & Hedi's (forget correct name) enclosure in Bette's memory too. You all let me know what you think. And there is the chance I could buy more flowers if need be. |

Jill that is just an awesome floral display...I've seen some flower shops with less in the cooler ![]() for doing all this for all of us who can't be there in person All those guys needed to do was fill the sink or a bucket with enough water and stand the bouquets in it until they could be arranged. I love all the suggestions...in particular the plaque for the IWS aviary wall as that will outlast all the rest ![]() |

Hope ES is home now safe and sound from his hiking adventures. That was a fun with the hiking boots all hanging from the Philmont sign ![]() Ozzie after reading about Leo I was reminded of that old adage 'curiosity killed the cat' . Surely the repairman would not have locked him in on purpose Glad BBoB is feeling much better.Carole I hope your Mom is continuing to improve...so glad they were able to stop the bleeding Take care of yourself, you don't need a repeat of the infection you had last time I'm sure Maya is missing you as much as you are her

I talked with Bette tonight. She sounded much better tonight than she did this morning. The guys didn't put the flowers in vases, but her roommate, Maria did when she got there. She said her room is full of flowers and she loves them all! And loves all the print outs that Jill delivered too! Jill, I want to add my thanks to everyone else's for all you did regarding the flowers and printouts! I know it wasn't an easy thing to do and I think you did an amazing job! I also think the idea of adopting Pimu in hers & Mike's name is a fantastic idea. I was actually telling that exact thing to Dave on our way to dinner tonight. Sponsoring the SC cam on Oct. 3rd in their honor is the icing on the cake! Thanks again for all of your suggestions, advice, links, e-mails & text messages today! You were all a great help to me! |

To all-It was my privilege to pick up the flowers & flowering plants. And to print up the cards & messages. That all was so little to do for a bit of joy for a person who is losing their life on this earth far too soon. Thank you all for your kind statements to me. I was happy to be able to represent all of you by these gifts to Bette. Thank you to those of you who are sending checks. I will be sure the balance of the money is spent towards what we all agree to, mainly things to be in memory of Bette connected to IWS. |
