It going to be a hot day here today too. :*: :fan:
Fun slide show, I love the trail and the tipi camp site.
Everyone looks like they're having a great time and a super adventure.
Nice way to spend the summer!

Jiller's The flowers were beautiful, I'm so glad Bette was feeling well enough
to talk to Jann. Many blessings to both you and Jann for all the phone calls
reaching out to Bette for all of us. Jiller's and Jann, Great idea for a plaque on
the eagle aviary and everything else your big open hearts thought to do for Bette.
She now knows she is in loving hands, (((GH))) it must be a great comfort for her
to feel that. :Hugs:

As soon as you notice the slightest sign of indifference, the moment you become aware of the loss of a certain seriousness, of longing, of enthusiasm and zest, take it as a warning. Your soul suffers if you live superficially. People need times in which to concentrate, when they can search their inmost selves. It is tragic that most men have not achieved this feeling of self-awareness. And finally, when they hear the inner voice, they do not want to listen anymore. They carry on as before so as not to be constantly reminded of what they have lost. But as for you, resolve to keep a quiet time both in your homes and here within these peaceful walls when the bells ring on Sundays. Then your souls can speak to you without being drowned out by the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

he's back to work today and we'll be going out to dinner of his choice tonight since he's been managing on trail food for the last 2 weeks :) I'm sure he'd like something a little different

Thunderstorms :rn: are predicted for the next two days and since Siobhan has so much anxiety over the noise and pressure changes, we are looking into buying a Thundershirt for her.

Posted Image

Apparently these are based on pressure shirts used on humans to manage their physical and behavioural responses and they cause an immediate calming effect.

They also work for separation anxiety, problem barking and leash pulling. Good videos on their website. Now I just have to find which local pet store has them :P

Penny, I think I need one of those Thundershirts! :P A cup of Tea this afternoon has me anxious and my heart skipping beats. :( Such an upsetting couple of days. <:3 I was worrying like Peetie about Bette's kitty too, and her peace of mind about it. And in fact had just emailed Jill about it but, as I then saw that you said to Peetie on CHIL, there's surely a loving home waiting for the kitty "when the time comes". :'(

I loved the reunited Eagles story that was posted yesterday, and here's another happy story that was in the news here last week. Blind Shire Horse Foal Gets Groundbreaking Surgery That Restores Sight. <3

I just saw the camera dedications to Bette today. <3 Jill, was that more of your "magic" too? :candle:
