Deb, thanks for reposting Bette's post. I don't know how I missed it. :bld: Thanks too for upping the limit on Emoticons! :Hugs: I can tend to run out when doing a catch up post. Will have to test it when feeling more chatty. :( We're moving in less that two weeks and will be without phone and internet for some time. No way to avoid it with the archaic system here. :( I'll be going to the library to check email for possibly two weeks or more. :'( We just hope it stops raining long enough for us to move all our still unpacked boxes that we shipped from the US, but then were too insecure to unpack after the :dvl: landlord went bad on us within the first month, before they even arrived. And that Ed can get through it without ending up in the hospital. :X:

Topa based on your comment, I guess I went to bed before whatever was said last night, and missed that too. (By 10 pm here it's only 2 pm nest time)

A mangled, burned out fire truck that rushed to the aid of victims on 9/11 at the World Trade Center and was destroyed returned home on Wednesday.

Posted Image

Draped in a flag like a giant coffin it was lowered into an exhibition space for the National September 11 Memorial & Museum where the fallen towers once stood.

The truck, from the city fire department's Ladder Company 3, helped civilians escape from the north tower on September 11, 2001.

Story and more :clk:

Hello, everybody. :}^ It's still so hot here. Robert has taken the dogs for their walks early since it will be getting hotter .... not good for them or for him. I stuck my nose outside and said, "No way!" since I would have some breathing issues (asthma). I think I'll just work on my stitchery and have a quiet day. :*: :fan: :*: :fan: Posted ImagePosted Image

Kris, best of luck with your move. Just take it slow and steady, get into a peaceful zone and try not to worry. :Hugs: Maybe try to think of some ways to get the elderly landlords on your side from the beginning ..... possibly some special tea and cookies might do the trick. They will be lucky to have both you and Ed nearby.

I have been voting for Dr. Sharpe daily. I've given up posting things on my FB page, hardly anybody notices. I wish my Farmville neighbours would comment on the eagles or whoopers once in awhile after I've posted something but they never seem to .... disappointing as I would like to get them to join in.

The laundry, Deb, oh, my. :hair: I have so much less laundry to do now that Ian has moved out .... passed the torch on to Allison. He is doing other chores around their new home, just not the laundry. Personally I was always afraid he would break the washer or dryer. He's good at breaking things .... wrecked the dishwasher once when we were away. We always called him the Terminator from the time he was little. Have a super week at camp, just in case I don't get back on here. I saw the engagement photos, really nice.

Topa, that is so nice that Rachel doesn't have to worry about the stability of having a teaching job for the fall.
:)^

Penny, thank you for posting the story about the fire truck.

"Michael Moran, a member of Ladder Company 3 who got relieved from duty on Sept. 10, 2001, and whose brother died on 9/11, said bringing the rig back to the trade center was part of the healing process.
'I think it's a nice tribute to the guys of Ladder 3,' he said. He also hoped people would see the rig as a symbol of the firefighters' sacrifices. 'They gave up all their tomorrows on Sept. 11.' "

BETTE - A SPECIAL GOOD MORNING TO YOU

Deb - I feel sorry for that scout mother! rofl Thanks for the extra emoticons so
I won't get kicked off rofl

Jill - So true about words like waves! <3

River - Beautiful Eagle Skye video :Hugs:

Topa - Mysterious wolf picture! :o Was very late when I got on last night so
it seems I missed what was said! :o Hope I never say the wrong thing! :)^

Kris - May all go well with you and Ed :Hugs:

Cheryl - I really think you should write a "doggie book" rofl Antics of Mia and
Wynn rofl

I guess I'm just too old (which I don't like to admit to) and too much out of it,
as if I pay for something I expect when needed the co. will come through.
Waiting all this time for the okay from the auto insurance co to get the surgery
on my wrist from the accident. They sent me to an Independent Medical
Evaluator, who told them he didn't think it was caused by the accident. (I didn't
have the problem before) so he called my surgeon Son-in-law, my surgeon, and
me a liar. and they aren't going to cover it. :'(

Sunnyland - I'm so sorry about the insurance company denying the claim on your wrist. :'( :'( I know how you must feel. Is it something that Medicare will take care of? I know they wouldn't if it was caused by the accident, but if the insurance company claims it wasn't, what else can you do? There is probably an appeal process with the insurance company, but it would likely take months to work through that. And it seems like there would be a department in your state government that oversees insurance companies - I would likely file a complaint with them. :Hugs: I know you just want to have it fixed, and there must be a way to get that done.

Penny - Awesome about the fire truck :)^

Cheryl - Breathing problems are no fun! Keep safe! :Hugs:

Kris - Yes. Cheryl's idea sounds good about tea and cookies! You know that old
saying, "you catch more flies with honey" It would be nice if you could make them
an ali! :)^

Topa - So good your daughter knows she has a teaching job! :)^

I voted too! Forgot it was after midnight when I voted so can't again till tomorrow :D

Imorton - Thanks so much for your thoughts! Couldn't believe it! When I saw
their doctor I tried to explain the timeline, because I didn't have a car at first
to get the 17 miles to the surgeon to have it checked out and it wasn't noticed
when I was at the hospital where they checked out my neck, back and spine!
It's so complicated! I know the lump on my wrist is from the accident where
I was wearing my wrist watch and gripping the steering wheel. so technically
you cannot go to your regular insurance. Bad day yesterday! I don't like to be
called a liar. :'(

Carol you have been put through the wringer, co-operated with all their requests and what do you get - NOTHING !!!

It is now time to get 'dirty'. Hire a lawyer...all it will take is one letter from him/her and you will have a different result. As soon as those insurance companies see there is legal representation they will usually capitulate, especially since you already have a lot of supporting evidence, and by the way...if it were me, I'd do what George suggested and report their Dr. for trying to counsel you to commit Medicare fraud
