Thank you, Jill, for the update about Bette. That's terrific that she was able to eat up her yogourt and keep it down. The flowers are gorgeous. |

a quick GOOD EVENING to Deb - Cheryl - Summer818 - EagleDuo - Jill - KLJinOZ - Imorton - Penny - Cheryl - love seeing the cranes fly DEb - Fudge cookies, Yum! Jill - KLJinOZ - Keep safe in all that rain! Jill - so glad that you report from Bette - and so good she ate the yugurt Thank your for all your support and suggestions! I finally was able to talk to my daughter and her DH this evening. After the SF Ins co. received the report from their IME, their attitude became "brusk" and told me go to Medicare and get it done. I need to be UNSTRESSED as the BP is 226. If I try to find a lawyer (and how do you find an honest one) how long will an appeal take? I need this done ASAP before it gets worse> So my daughter said to be sure to get a copy of their report denying it was from the accident. That would protect me so I can go to my insurance and get it done! There's an old saying, "What goes around, comes around" So I think at some point they will trip their own self up! I appreciate all your imput! |

Jill, so glad you had such a good visit with Bette tonight! The picture of the flowers are beautiful. You have made such beautiful choices! That is awesome that she could enjoy some yogurt and possibly a banana tomorrow! Such sweet and simple pleasures! My phone call with Bette tonight was short because she had company, but it was a good talk. I was glad to hear how much better and stronger she sounded tonight than she did last night. I'm sooooo glad to hear that Hospice is with Bette now. They are such a blessing at a time like this!!! And I'm so glad that Bette has let friends in to love her and comfort her during her remaining time. |

I haven't followed this from the beginning but I just have to add: Medicare does cover injuries caused by accident! If the care was given by a hospital, doctor, ER, etc, that facility has to file with Medicare if they are Medicare providers. That includes ambulance services. If you collect any money from an insurance company for the accident, Medicare does get repaid out of that money. Now, some facilities will (and I know this as a fact) send you the bill, saying that Medicare won't pay it as it was due to an accident. What this means is that the facility has not filed with Medicare because they never get the full amount they charge from Medicare and so would rather get it from you! If they are a Medicare provider, just tell them to file with Medicare! If you have a lawyer, he should/will tell them and tell them to stop bugging you! |
