Happy Saturday to All! Just at the library for a few minutes to check email so wanted to say Hi. And to add that being married to an American or a Brit doesn't qualify for citizenship of either at all. In fact if I don't spend £500 by October to renew my UK Settlment Visa I won't be allowed to stay here legally or even travel to the US and be able to get back into the UK! Also Ed could be refused entry to the US at the airport if he doesn't have a valid Green Card! He has to reimigrate all over again! At a big expense! We have an attorney in the US who specializes in UK to US immigration who handled his initial immigration and getting his Green Card when we got married and have all the info from him, and from inquiries here about my status. His Green Card was only good for 15 years and once expired is useless. We moved here before the time frame that he could renew it and we would have had to go back a few months ago to renew it, and that wasn't possible and we didn't know how difficult things would be here then. The clock's running out on the computer here. Very limited access, only an hour at a time at best depending on bookings, and the library closes at 1pm on Saturday. If I can I'll check in on Monday or Tuesday now that the filtering system lets me get to the forum. |

Circle, Thanks for the explanation on the citizenship laws. I figured you knew something I didn't, that's why I asked. Ozzie, ![]() quote form one of the blogger's " This IS eggciting (and that's no "yolk")!"

Monarch Butterfly Monarchs can fly up to 100 miles a day during their migrations. But climate change could be devastating to these royal butterflies. Watch a video with Jeff Corwin and learn more about monarchs.

Went by Bette's this afternoon. Brought her a chocolate cupcake, 5 bouquets of Alstroemeria, 2 bunches of sunflowers & cream of broccoli soup. A friend had brought her two really big stalks which I took pictures of to post here. I also cut off some of the stems at the bottom & combined the roses I brought on Tues. Of the 48 roses I only had to throw out one droopy one! All pictures are clickable. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bette was a bit tired out from her outing out of the house this morning but was expecting a couple of more visitors after me.

My privilege to represent the Cruzers Penny. One of the stalks was ginger I think, I'm not certain. The other looked a bit like some type of orchid. But Bette can correct me on those if she's up to typing an answer! I used to make a good broccoli, potato, onion, cheese soup. You cook up the potatoes & onions until the potatoes are soft, throw in the broccoli & cook for a short bit. Then put it all in the blender. Top with some grated cheese. It was always a hit when I invited people over for dinner in Kenya! DH does not like it, he'd rather have chunks than blended! I'd rather have blended!
