LATEST UPDATE ON NX

December 6 update
Dr. Miranda reports that NX is doing well — the subcutaneous emphysema over her chest seems to be getting much better. NX did eat last night and kept her meal down. Since NX is eating well, the veterinary team will be putting her p.m. medications in her food to avoid having to grab her up twice a day.

G'day Peeps, my Wednesday, at the office working today. Not feeling the best and dont want to get worse so I opted out of sailing today, another wet and cool day, when is summer going to arrive?! :*:

Love the FishEye pic Deb.

Love your morning cuddle story Cheryl, but not getting up early Penny and Carole. My kitties have a tussle with each other in front of our door anywhere from 4 to 6am.... sigh.

Bee sent an email around with some beautiful birds (Jillers?!) I photographed two of them at the Zoo!

So where's the recipe for that one? DH is a chocoholic but we are trying very hard to stay away from fat, sugars, eggs...you know... all the good stuff :P rofl

I probably couldn't make it anyway because he is also not eating any dairy unless I could substitute Tofu for the cream cheese ;)

Have you tried Tofutti products?
Their tofutti ice cream sandwich is delish. :Yum:

in her garage 1 1/2 hour class for $15. :ok:

Oh yes, I've used the Tofutti Topa :)^ most recently in a double layer pumpkin cheesecake with an oatmeal crust :Yum: :Yum:

Has anyone done an impact study on the Ojai wind machines???? Those are very noisy and terribly destructive to wildlife and have been proven to cause human illnesses :'(

Ozzie I'm thinkin' the weather everywhere is just  and it probably has something to do with the Japanese nuclear accident and all the volcano eruptions throwing up a dense layer of c@#p into the atmosphere and the oceans

The Mayan calendar ends on Dec 21, 2012

ah Cheryl glad you got some quiet time with the puppies!
can't believe how cold the west coast is and NM and the snow!
how cute is beanie Topa :)
how clever for the birds .... we moved our cage and it's closer to front door and everyone is worried but we have the glass in all year round (cause of Trin) and there's heat just behind and to the right of them so they should all be just fine!

wow that syringe pole but I guess they need to be safe - a 60 lb bear is a 60 lb bear :)
wonderful posts and info

soooo busy at work starting to MT drawers and pack up what will be going with me - they are coming to get boss' desk tomorrow to go to FL and then a big dinner and Thurs a big lunch..... just a lot to do and be sure I've covered all the bases before he leaves.......

and then up so early this am - I'm real tired now but no nap or I won't sleep tonight - geez
so better find something to keep me active for a little bit longer LOL

and then I need my documents for new boss - can't find my social security card :( so I have to do a form and take proof to local office - darn :( now how did that happen.....

Lily the Black Bear - Update December 6, 2011 REVISED

Lucky, Honey, and Den Cams

Posted Image :clk:
solar panels on Lily-Faith den shed

Lucky and Honey are coexisting peacefully, with Honey occasionally venturing out to rake in more bedding. Ted is doing the same. What will Lucky do as the winter progresses? We’re anxious to get Lucky and Honey’s den cam up and streaming. The camera is all set and we’re now just waiting for the technicians to make it available online. We think it’s fair to say within the next couple days—hopefully tomorrow.

The best we can do for now is a 3 minute video of the loudest snores we have ever heard from a bear :D

Solar panels and batteries arrived today for the second wild den cam. We’re still waiting on permission to install one at Juliet’s den. Technicians are waiting on that to make their airline reservations, too.

Still writing the DNR report.

Thank you for all you do.

Have an update on David and his seizure. He went to the dr. appt. today and they are sending him to a neurologist. His BP was a little high but haven't done blood work yet. Lindsay is understandably very worried but I told her she has to just trust God right now. There are so many things that could have caused it and it could be easily treated with meds as long as its something "simple". A young man who works for our school district had seizures and I can't remember what the cause was but he is on meds. and is fine. Even allowed to drive now. David was told no driving.

Sounds like NX is doing ok so far. At least she is eating and keeping food down. :)^ :X:

Cute story about the deer and ram...if they succeed in producing offspring will it be called a dram (deer/ram) maybe?? Or maybe a deep (deer/sheep)?? How about a sheer (sheep/deer) ??? Could be shameer (sheep/ram/deer)?? Lots of possibilities! rofl rofl rofl

<::: Regan the dog rescues kittens left for dead on a roadside :)^

The Raccoon Valley Animal Sanctuary is now housing the two kittens -- Skipper and Tipper -- who weren't originally expected to live through the ordeal. The two were bottled-fed every two hours and are now back to their normal lively selves, the news outlet reports.

Kittens Rescued

and a dog was reunited with her family after being missing for 8 years...

Nice pic of the ice on the grass in Ojai! It was that cold here this a.m., also. There was ice on the birdbath near the kindergarten classrooms! I could have sworn I saw Woodstock and Snoopy playing ice hockey!
