Topa, what a great poster about off-leash dogs and the people who let them run. Brynn used to totally freak out. He was even attacked a few times by 'friendly' loose dogs. I'm afraid to take our two out alone for fear of the same thing. |

Good Morning Peeps![]() Image Allison Shock - no “artistic” Photoshop filters used Along the Verde River in the Yavapai Indian Nation, a Bald eagle sits low in the field of view, framed by a dramatic snag, golden cottonwood foliage, and saguaro and brush-covered hills behind. Out of sight, the river flows to the right, between the eagle and the saguaros in the background. Vignetting, distortion, noise, and other fatal photo flaws result in moody painterly effects created by distance, heat, and the multiple lenses of digiscoping. |

Carole, thank you for all the whooper screen caps. I had put it on full-screen. I enjoy watching them dip and fly that way. Topa, well done on the three videos! Thank you! I don't know how to do them. Robert got home from a walk in the woods with the dogs. Wynn arrived home without his fleece coat, oops. Robert headed back to find it. A neighbour who had also been in the woods walking her dog had hung the coat on a bush - saw Robert on the way back in and told him. |

11:01 pm, now that's a dedicated and caring Animal Control officer. Kudos to Officer Keeve. Penny, the photo is so detailed and artistic. The eagle looks like it is sitting in a glow of sunlight.

TODAY'S NX UPDATE December 8 update NX continues down the road to recovery. She ate everything last night and once again kept her food down. The vets will check out her GI tract again on radiographs, which will be taken on December 9, but at this point, Dr. Dave anticipates that they will not need to scope NX. NX was weighed today [wrapped up tightly in a "raptor wrapper"] and is 3.55 kg. While this is down from her initial weight on December 2, the veterinary team isn’t concerned. Her initial weight included her transmitter [80 grams] and a crop full of rancid deer meat [which she regurgitated on her first night in the hospital]. Also given the fact that she had to be fasted prior to radiographs, the vets aren’t surprised that NX’s weight has decreased a bit. She’ll likely put that weight back on in a matter of days as she continues to recover. Dr. Dave affixes a “tail guard” to NX’s tail to protect it while housed indoors: ![]() An XXL “raptor wrapper” in action!

Penny, gorgeous shot by Allison Shock! This is an outrage that is beyond words! Japanese "officials" have appropriated Earthquake designated funds to the tune of 28 Million Dollars to fund the bogus "scientific harvesting" of Whales in the Antarctic. Greenpeace is trying to intervene but it's looking like a voltile confrontaion could be at hand.

12,000-year-old Gobekli Tepe in Turkey The structures on this site were built about 12,000 years ago (10,000 BC) and possibly intentionally buried with sand about 8,000 years ago. No one knows who these people were, what the massive buildings were for, or why they were buried. Just for reference, these massive structures were built during the last ice age and are more than 7,000 years older than any other structure we have yet discovered on our planet. As I watched this I was in awe of what is shown and discussed, 13 years of work and only an estimated 5% had been uncovered!!! This would truly be amazing beyond words to see. http://www.wimp.com/unexplainedstructure/ |
