Hi everybody. I'm off to an early appointment.

Whooper Update: At 53 degrees it's the warmest morning we've experienced since leaving Wisconsin in early October. A dense fog advisory, a ceiling of 100 feet at our destination, and ESE headwinds at 5mph on the surface and 25mph SSW winds aloft all add up to a no fly day. The cranes and planes will be spending a third Down Day in Franklin County, AL.

After seeing how much :flk: :flk: fell on Flagstaff Arizona I'm thankful for our balmy weather and no white stuff to shovel :)^ It's -2C/28F going to -1C/33F with light snow happening sometime today.

Good Morning; evening here already. :}^

Sorry the Whoopers are down today but they have made some good progress in the previous few days. :)^

We had our first snow today! :flk: It started as freezing rain but soon turned to a blowing snow storm that only lasted a short time. I tried to photograph it but the front window was so rain splashed it's hard to see where that ends and the snow begins. It looked so much more impressive "live". It wasn't cold enough for it to stick but the weekend is supposed to get into the minus degrees C, and there are ice warnings. :8O: I don't know how to drive in that! My only experience with snow before coming here was a few times in the local SoCal mountains and a magical Winter Wonderland trip to Yosemite a few decades ago. Last year we had no snow after Christmas, and hopefully we won't get much more this year. :X:

After the storm passed our local Swan pair glided regally down the canal past our yard. Ed uses that stone stairway in the foreground to go down to the water's edge to feed them.

Kris - I really liked your frost photos from yesterday and the snowy one today is so pretty. <3 Your swans are just beautiful. Can't believe people still live on their boats in this cold weather. :8O:

G'day peeps, a little bleary eyed this morning, stuffy nose too. But dont feel sick, just tired. Muscles are sore, I think more from the hard sailing yesterday than anything else. The morning has appeared with sun chased by scattered clouds, not sure what it is going to do today but I am walking into the City over the Bridge today. I love that walk, over the harbor.

Kibble:
I want to be a cat with $13m! :)^ thats a lot of kibble is right! I wonder who the new owner of the cat is?
"Koda is one of four pets that escaped the fire; Cooper the Border Collie and a pair of cats, Lavender and Mocha, made it out unscathed." :heart2:

Love all the morning pics and postings. Penny, I spoke to my mother in Sedona yesterday, she confirmed it was REALLY COLD, but no snow at here level (4000 ft), perhaps it came overnight for her.

Carole, I'm sure your casserole was delish, but I had to eat it a lot as a kid and somehow havent been able to look at it as an adult!
Rachel did a Mexican dinner for her gfs last night, black beans (which I started for her), chicken burritos. I think her friends were impressed. dessert maybe not so much, SaraLee apple crumble...

No emails from BBob, I bet he is tired, they are working him from 9 to 9.... and said they will also need him on the weekend!
