K-82! Thank you Carole. I'd like to note the birthday of my dear brother Erik, who lost his life too prematurely due to the outrageous actions of my unconoscionable mother. He would have been 40 today, but died needlessly at 28. He had Downs Syndrome and despite what that might imply he was the most aware, sensitive, loving and wise person I've ever known.

Kris this is a song by Celine Dion who lost her sister who died at a very young age.... Celine Dion - Fly (2:54) Fly, fly little wing Fly beyond imagining The softest cloud, the whitest dove Upon the wind of heaven's love Past the planets and the stars Leave this lonely world of ours Escape the sorrow and the pain And fly again Fly, fly precious one Your endless journey has begun Take your gentle happiness Far too beautiful for this Cross over to the other shore There is peace forevermore But hold this mem'ry bittersweet Until we meet Fly, fly do not fear Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear Your heart is pure, your soul is free Be on your way, don't wait for me Above the universe you'll climb On beyond the hands of time The moon will rise, the sun will set But I won't forget Fly, fly little wing Fly where only angels sing Fly away, the time is right Go now, find the light A life so young released to heaven , left on Earth we wonder why, But some are sent among us briefly 'Some have Spirits meant to fly' . Wishing you peace in your heart today

Deb your NYC slideshow was quite nostalgic for me. The decorations outside and inside the large stores are really something to behold and Rockefeller Center is simply gorgeous ![]() Cheryl I had to lock Siobhan in my bedroom this afternoon when the Alarm Company technician came to check out everything. She is just so interested and gets in the way especially when it was up/down/up/down back and forth to check out everything..and then she doesn't want visitors to leave so she jumps on their legs and barks That is one behaviour I haven't been able to totally correct with her...Caesar Milan had a solution...owning the doorway, but she does it the minute anyone gets up to leave Did I mention she sometimes does it to us too ![]() Here's a cheer-up for everyone whether you need it or not. It's a classic ![]() White Christmas (2:45) Edited by Artsy Mom, Dec 16 2011, 02:34 PM.

Penny - The Celine Dion song Here's the story about my Hannukah bush. Several years ago my 2 youngest grandkids (who also celebrate Christmas) asked why we don't have a Hannukah bush. We have an artificial tree in the living room and I just added a string of tiny blue lights to decorate it, they were so excited. It used to be surrounded by tons of gifts but now that all the grandkids are older we give them gift cards which they really appreciate. So that's my Hannukah bush story. I will post pics on the 26th when everything is decorated.

OOPS I've fixed the link now A very cute Hanukkah bush story Carole When my kids were really little...I'm talking still using highchairs...I used to give them a stocking filled with all kinds of stuff including dreidels and fun little toys and candy. DH was not a happy camper and I used to decorate a dwarf palm tree in the den and put the presents under it too I stopped doing that by the time they went to Hebrew kindergarten I think it is nice to have little lights in the indoor foliage all year round
