Penny - The female tiger at Toronto Zoo had 2 previous litters. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/toronto/toronto-zoo-tiger-dies-in-fight-with-breeding-partner/article2272814/?from=sec431 I've seen the goat video before but still giggle when watching it, just adorable. Happy to hear that Buddy is doing alright, hope this eye condition will never give him problems

Topa, beautiful Benedicto. And Shmuel is such a sweetie! You're going to have such a wonderful visit! I'm benevolently jealous! What a sacred place to be at this time of year. All I want is to do is to go visit Lori and ZuZu in California. Maybe in the Spring... Horrible news about the Tiger death from the Toronto Zoo. |

Last Day to pick up something from the OnLine auction of Elizabeth Taylor's jewelery ![]() The Sales Online items offered and prices they sold for Kim Kardashian bought two of her jade bracelets for something like 42,000 pounds which is approximately $62,218 USD and was so happy because she said: "Jade transfers energy, so I will cherish these bracelets with her energy in them for the rest of my life." |

I think it's an absolute outrage and shame that the ultimately insignificant and totally disreputable KK is able to own anything belonging to such a true legend.

Penny - I really enjoyed the Holdman Christmas Lights Here is another website of a neighbour a few blocks away from us, amazing lightshows they produce each year. They also have a donation box and have raised over $62,000 for local charities. This is their homepage but click on the video link for some really great entertainment. http://www.lindsaylights.com/index.html |

Thanks so much for all the anniversary wishes! We haven't done anything yet as it was also my dad's birthday (he turned 84!) and we celebrated with him last night so tonight we are going out. I would like to go over to the harbor and have dinner. We shall see. Love the tiger pics, Kath! They are so much like regular housecats that you forget they are wild. Momma sure looks fierce, tho, with that stare! Water cat...well it is a TIGER cat and tigers do like water! Loved the light show and checked out some of the others as well. Wonder how their neighbors feel about it, tho. Kris...so sorry about your beloved brother We had a little Down's girl in our childcare program yrs. ago and she was just such a love! I can only imagine your pain with the loss of your brother Was going to board Lily while we go to AZ after Christmas but I was really nervous about it, had never used any place around here and yet, didn't want to have to ask my sister to come over twice a day to feed her and let her out. Was just too much to ask. Then the other day, one of Lindsay's girlfriends came into our classroom and was inquiring about putting her daughter who is 5 into our program if she was accepted into our school. Then I got a brilliant idea! This girl is not married and lives with her mom so I talked to Jim and we asked her to come house sit and take care of Lily and we would pay her! And she said YES! I am so excited to NOT have to board my baby! She is coming next week to meet Lily again (she saw her once for a few hrs. on the 4th of July) and will give her instructions. She will use my wonderful "new" bedroom and her daughter can use Jossy's and Bubba's room. And it will save me about $100! Wooooohoooooo! Now I can be away really enjoying my grandkids and not worrying about how Lily is faring! |

TG someone had a shred of conscience and returned this precious Owl! Curses on their intent but appreciation for their decision to do the right thing.

Karen - Have a lovely anniversary dinner with Jim tonight. I'm so happy things turned out well with having a house/dog sitter instead of puting Lily in a kennel. We have the same problem. DH won't kennel Maya but my vet recommended a great person who takes dogs into his house and is very responsible. After we get back from Florida (if we are going) I will go and talk to him and check out his house. There is one kennel here that my friends use that they swear by. Small dogs have one outdoor supervised area to play in and big dogs have their area. I just worry because Maya is so small that she might get hurt, the weather is too cold or too hot, call me a worrywart but that's what I am. Love your comment about the Screech Owl

Carole I remember that Lindsay Lights video I'm so glad you re-posted it It's so great that they are able to raise money for charities. I wonder what their electric bill and replacement bulb costs are like The smartest thing of all is not to have the music blasting their neighborhood The flashing lights would be tiresome after a period of time too I think the person that took the owl knew somebody at the wildlife Rehab What on earth was the plan I wonder...weird glad they got it back before something bad happened ![]() Karen perfect answer to the doggy dilemma. It is always so much better to keep them in their own home if at all possible Happy to your 84 year old Dad. Here's a special holiday 'cake' just for him.... Giddy Up Rudolph

Cathy! I would just love to be young enough for that kind of sailing. I'm too old, too weak, too fragile! I'll stick with the in-harbor big boats, thanks for posting that! I bet you are so looking forward to your visit! Very sad news about the Toronto Tiger.... Thank you for the WC, Buddy and nest updates ladies! |
