Penny....thanks for the birthday wishes and holiday cake for my dad! He will love it! Am posting in his favorite color I, too, loved the LindsayLights! Maybe its the name....hmmmm Will have to send the link to my daughter. She loves anything with her name on it. Even Lindsay olives which is the only brand she will buy or even eat It was hard while she was growing up to find any kind of name plate with her name spelled with the "say" and not "sey". Buddy Feel so bad that he has to go thru dremmeling every so often but am so thankful that it can be done so he can eat! Hate to think of all the eagles out there in the wild that have these problems and can't be helped I guess that is God's way of keeping down populations to appropriate proportions. Kath...cool pic of the dinghy ladies! Sailing is too scary to me. I love the ocean but rather be on a big boat with a motor and someone else to pilot it! By the way, Jim and I got an Aussie anniversary card from my sis and her DH Has a Whimsies Series drawing featuring 3 koalas by Lynn Naismith. Part of the purchase price was donated to the Aussie Koala Foundation to protect the koalas and their habitat

Michele - Hi sweetie, so good to see you here(well I wish I could see you ) Love your photo and the cartoon is a real winner How have you been and how are all the kitties and Jedi (?), hope I got his name right. Dr. D. sends regards, they are in Florida now in their motorhome and she had her cast removed today, now she has a slip on velcro one and she is doing well. Busy here at home, Hannukah party on the 26th, dinner for 10 New Year's Eve and then my Mom's 100th birthday in Montreal in January. Hopefully after that off to Florida we will go if everything and everybody stays well.

Carole, Chuck and I have been busy with home projects. First we redid the spare bedroom/my office, with fresh paint, crown molding and shutters for the windows in both the study and Mike's bedroom. I basically just freshened things up with a new duvet for the daybed and trundle that we have in here, and now I just need to add a few pictures on the wall. Then we moved on to re-doing the Main Bath with paint, new fixtures for the shower and sinks, new light fixture in there, paint the cabinet, buy a new granite counter top, then finally, new tile on the floor. I'm pretty danged sure we're going to wait on the floors and cabinet thingie until after Christmas....I think. Jedi is doing GREAT!!! He is walking perfectly without a limp, and other than the nasty scar he has on his leg, you wouldn't even know that he hurt that leg. He's amazing. He'll be turning 14 on January 19th, and to look at him, you would never guess it.....other than he's a little deaf.....I wonder if they make doggie hearing aids??? The kitties are doing great too.....they don't really like the cold, so at night I can tell just how cold it is by how many kitties have tucked themselves around my legs. Lexi always sleeps with me....but Kikiyo (momma kitty) and Hobbes (brother kitty) tend to sleep in their own favorite places....unless they're cold.... I'm happy to hear that Dr. D has her cast off....WooooHoooo.....I take it she managed to navigate that big ole motorhome all the way to Florida, just fine. Why does that not surprise me.....

Hi Michele! Great to hear from you. Good news that Jedi is thriving. I always enjoy reading about your renovations. Sunny have fun at the line dancing evening out! I'm not that coordinated! Your mom's 100th birthday, what a special event that will be, Carole. The polar bears??? Where??? I think they are in disguise. Happy 84th Birthday to your Dad, Karen. Have fun on your evening out with Jim. I enjoyed the story about Lindsay and her name. Lily will be much happier being cared for at home.Topa, sounds like you are busy, busy getting ready to go. Funny about Shmuel being the organizer. Santa and the reindeer cake, so cute. Thanks for all the critter updates, everybody. Elizabeth Taylor certainly owned some beautiful jewellery. |

Lily the Black Bear - Update December 17, 2011 So close! ![]() We simply ran out of light. The cables for the Lily & Faith Den Cam have been pulled through the woods from the equipment shed to the den. The camera is even streaming video. But we ran out of light before we could install the camera in the den. All you see right now is the plastic we put over the end of the camera tube to protect the camera during the tromp through the woods. We’ll return tomorrow to finish up. Thank you for all you do… and your patience! —Lynn Rogers and Sue Mansfield, Biologists, Wildlife Research Institute and North American Bear Center |

Thank you Carol, me too, I miss her so much! But I don't have a grandchild, and never will. If I did I couldn't have moved here. ZuZu's not a grandchild but a special friend.
