Carole, I made potato latke's two nights in a row. :Yum:
The first night I made them with maui onions and I think
they were better than the second batch I made with spanish onions.

Alrighty, It's been fun. BBL :<<o>>:

Hi everyone - lovely greetings!

I have a question - does anyone know if the pocket calendars are still available, and if so, where to look? I've looked everywhere I could think of on the Cafe Press site - but I know sometimes things aren't where I'd expect to see them. Thanks!

Judy, it is my understanding that the pocket calendars are available directly from IWS for a $5 contribution. I'm sure they are still available as I just got a letter about it last week, from Nancee Wells, I believe.

Winter Solstice Greetings on this longest night of the year just passed, with the light of the Sun now returning. The Solstice was exact at 5:30 am UK time and we heard the roads to Stonehenge were choked with traffic trying to get there. Even though it's only about 15 miles away we'll wait until the revelers disperse to pay our respects. :P

This 2011 Solstice also marks the tenth anniversary of the birth of Ed's and my website. Also on this day, well actually the Solstice was on December 21 in 2000, we went to a local "vortex" location in the Santa Monica Mountains that Ed had psychically sensed, and did a Winter Solstice Meditation in the dark. The energies were high and we saw and photographed some unusual anomalies as documented in this report on our website.
The spiral of light seen in one of the photographs was much brighter as Ed saw it at the time but though our limited photographic equipment didn't do it justice it was amazingly captured as it happened.

Topa, gorgeous Great Spirit Prayer image and words! <3

Penny, beautiful Solstice image. <3

Good Thursday Mornin' Peeps..... :}^

Carole, lots and lots of good stuffs this morning. I love seeing the nesting pairs doing a little house keeping in preparation for the coming nesting season, and the thrill of seeing the Sequoia pair tend to theirs.

Mr. RT Hawk looks mighty fine both heads and tails..... rofl

Penny, I was wondering if you were covered in snow yet....I assumed you guys were!!! Still, I can just imagine how beautiful it must all look....truly a winter wonderland. In my neck of the woods it has been so dry that now I'm getting worried that we're entering into another drought period....which I really do dread. Living in the foothills as we do, whenever there's a drought year, the fire danger becomes a huge concern. Eeeeeaaaakkkkk!!! :8O:

Topa, omigosh, the Algonquin poem made my heart ache.....so much truth to be found in those words.....and oh how I wish it wasn't so. :'( I loved the MacIver painting along with the words of Rudyard Kipling from his poem "The Explorer"......it was a perfect match up.

Carole, Penny and Topa, bea-u-ti-ful Happy Hanukkah Greetings you've posted this morning......
All of you guys always manage to find the most beautiful graphics to post here....sets my heart aflutter.

Can't wait to do my clicking......

Linda, took the words right outta my mouth...... :)^

Judy, check with Nancee Wells and I'm sure she will steer you in the right direction. Happy Hunting!!!

Deb, omigosh, no kidding.....never move anywhere, regardless of whether it's a business (nightmare) or your home (mini nightmare) during the month of December!!! That is just uber great that you will be spending the holidays with your grandchildren....that will definitely put the sparkle on your day!!!

Speaking of nightmares, I had a mini nightmare last night....but it wasn't all that scary.....what was weird about it was that it was a dream within a dream. I dreamt that I was cooking, and tried to use one of those BBQ igniters.....but it wouldn't ignite. Problem was the fuel was escaping and when it finally did ignite the entire device, including my hand was enveloped in flames....at which point I awoke in my dream, and realized it was a dream, with the exception of there being tendrils of smoke remaining......do, do, do, doooooo, do do, do, doooooo (insert Twilight Zone music)..... :haha: :haha:

Thanks, everyone! - I didn't think to check there - and have no clue where my letter from Nancee disappeared in the flurry of mail the last couple of weeks. Calendar ordered, and now back to holiday preparations!

Kris, beautiful Winter Solstice Greeting this morning.....and very interesting photograph from your website. I'm always fascinated by the orbs of light, but seeing that staff of light would send me over the top....what an amazing experience. Whenever I read about stuff like this, it makes me think of the stories I've read about the Celts, King Arthur, Merlin, and of course, the Lady of Avalon......all of which I dearly love.

Kris, I LOVE "seeing" you. :Hugs:  Speaking of seeing....when you and Ed go to Salisbury to the Stonehenge, I would love to see pictures of it.....that would be beautiful. Have you read Edward Rutherfurd's "Sarum"??? I read it years and years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it.....he gives quite a good history of the Salisbury area and covers everything from the Standing Stones in Stonehenge to the building of the Salisbury Cathedral.
