G'day peeps! Back from the wedding!

beautiful day if not a little too windy bringing the temperatures down to goosebumps when in the shade on occasion. Bob and his sons forgot to put sunscreen on, and all three were sunburnt by the end of the day (I knew the trees were not going to provide enough shade!). I wore a hat, well pinned against the wind. The wedding location was very nice, picturesque, but very public, so noisy with families eg, kids screaming, tourist helicopters and planes. It was a 'smart casual' dress code wedding, the groomsmen wore white white with blue pinstripes (but the elder two boys complained that they were polyester and it felt like they were wearing a plastic bag). The Bridesmaids wore different dresses in sort of the same color, peachy-beige, with cute beige/lace fabric umbrellas. The Bride's smile was lovely. On seeing her smiles I realized I had NEVER seen a real smile out of her. The ceremony was lovely. The dinner food was very nice, but when the Bride & Groom got up to walk around to all the tables, only Peter stopped at ours, the Bride turned her back on Bob.. The speeches by the Bride's Father (about the ins/outs of marriage), Bob (about the definition of Love) and Sue (snapshots of life) were also very nice. The Best Man's speech was difficult to understand because he is suffering from a brain tumor (Bob had to explain to all his friends that he wasnt actually drunk!). There was a dance floor and I got Bob up for a few dances (we were careful about his bad back though). I also danced with a few other friends from our party. I met a lot of old friends (of Bob & Sue's past), all but one were very nice to me and made an effort to converse with me. I didnt stand up for the wedding farewell tunnel, I went back to the car. Bob tells me Sue motioned him to stand opposite her and Sally did give him a cursory cheek kiss then. So they are off on an ocean cruise honeymoon.

I forgot to take my sunglasses off!! These are Bob's photos. The professional photos probably not available for a while...

First time I have signed on here in a looong time! This is great! I saw a "mostly albino" red-tail flying over head back in Valentine's Day 2008. At first I thought it was a gull because it was all white - but it was soaring and the wing shape was all wrong. That's when I realized what it was. The tail was not very pinkish so it might have been a juvie. But i recognized it as a red-tail because of its silhouette and the dark leading edge of its wings - which is specific to red-tails. Very cool - I wonder if it could have been the same bird. I am about 60 miles north of NYC.

Ozzie I love your wedding outfit. The color is gorgeous and you look great in it. BBoB looks very dapper as well :)^

The bride's dress and veil were really very beautiful and the lace covered parasols were such a great idea for the bridesmaids...how HOT was it? Looks like the preacher was the only one with a jacket on :D

I was trying to figure out what the chocolate stuff was supposed to be on the table in front of the wedding cake. Were the love birds on top made out of marzipan? IMNTK :P

Remember the story of this guy?

Well so far, 'Journey' the lone wolf has traveled over 1000 miles from Oregon to California looking for love.

Posted Image :clk: for video (2:13)

He's the first wild grey wolf in California in 90 years and I'm thinking he has come to the wrong state because where will he find a mate if he is the only wolf there :P

Penny, I do think I'm more jet lagged than usual,
or is it helping with the 5 grandkids that was exhausting? :)
Lot's and lot's of hugs to give out. :Hugs: :Hugs:

It seemed like I hardly had my camera out but managed to take enough photos to
make this slideshow yesterday while recuperating from the trip.

Jerusalem is a city physically in ruins yet is bursting with spirituality.
I hope you enjoy.

How could Chris Gullickson be so self centered to disrupted the OM program
after all the years OM has worked saving the whoopers? What a punk! seasick

Ozzie, beautiful photo of you and Bbob enjoying the wedding. I love your hat and dress.

Star Ranch owlet :><:

Penny, Journey must be very particular about choosing his mate. :ok:

Thanks for the welcome back. I tried to get online while in Israel on Daniel's
laptop but messed it all up and gave up.
You must know that when I'm taking photo's it's with all of you in mind to
share when I return. (((GH)))

DH and I just watched your slideshow Topa. It's awesome :)^ Thanks so much because neither one of us has ever been there :Hugs:

I think Journey may have heard the howling from some of those Alaskan wolf dogs that were rescued and sent to Ventura and he's trying to find them

Topa I loved the slide show - ditto what Carole said. Seems like a beautiful neighborhood and the building where the Shul is seems very old?
