Penny...No I won't miss getting up at O dark thirty for sure! But I can always get up if I WANT to in order to see the sunrise and always go back to bed ;) Now I miss the actual sunrise even tho I am up because I am in the classroom by that time and can't see it the way my classroom is situated even if I could go out.

Kris...silly me I didn't realize that Lori is your daughter! :bld:

:X: for NX!

Karen, I know you are at work very early in the mornings and won't miss that at all when you retire! I am amazed at how early you have to be there, and I feel sorry for the people who have to drag their kiddos out of bed at such an ungodly hour. When Amy was small, the before school program didn't open until 7:00 - which was still plenty early. But most people here don't have that long of commutes to work, either.

Penny - The squirrel with the hula hoop is rofl rofl rofl

I think I have to chill out like Siobhan. We are leaving for Montreal either Friday or Saturday, depending on the weather, and my Mom's 100th party is on Sunday the 15th even though her actual birthday is the 16th, Monday. Then we come back to Toronto on the 18th, and leave for Florida on the 20th. It seems as though all I am doing is laundry and packing :P Lots of good things to look forward to but lots of work getting organized. I'm taking Maya to the party, dogs are allowed in the nursing home, don't want to leave her alone for so long at the hotel. If anyone complains, who cares ;) Maya is a party animal and will enjoy it all. :**:

Carole, I can't imagine who would complain about Maya being at the party. She is such a precious little dog and I think that would just cheer everyone up a lot.

I just happen to have a BIL that doesn't like dogs, :<:: but that's his problem, not mine or anyone else :P

and for all that you, ES and his family did to help him get there :)^
Ditto for Deb and Gary!

G'day Peeps, my Tuesday morning. Its cooler this summer than normal so far, opposite of your northerners... :D

Maya ~Happy Dog Bday! and have a great time at the Party, sounds terrific. Photos Carole? Are your DDs going to be there?

You must get to work VERY early Karen. I too leave in the dark in winter, only to beat the traffic rather than the long distance. I get to the office @7.30am. Sometimes I leave early too though! ;)

Rachel went out last night asking me to check her laundry. I forgot. When she came home this morning she gave me a look of disgust. Its not like she hasnt done the same to me on occasion. Then she asks me to move her car in 2 hours (she couldnt find a park spot outside restricted parking areas)... She went for another job interview. Fingers crossed.

Vitamin F
Why do I have a variety of friends who are all so different in character?
How can I get along with them all?

I think that each one helps to bring out a "different" part of me.

With one of them I am polite.
I joke with another friend.
I sit down and talk about serious matters with one.
With another I laugh a lot.
I may have a drink with one.
I listen to one friend's problems.
Then I listen to another one's advice for me.
My friends are all like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.
When completed, they form a treasure box.
A treasure of friends!
They are my friends who understand me better than myself,
Who support me through good days and bad days.
We all pray together and for each other.
Real Age doctors tell us that friends are good for our health.
Dr.. Oz calls them Vitamins F (for Friends) and counts the benefits of friends as essential to our well being. Research shows that people in strong social circles have less risk of depression and terminal strokes.. If you enjoy Vitamins F constantly you can be up to 30 years younger than your real age. The warmth of friendship stops stress and even in your most intense moments it decreases the chance of a cardiac arrest or stroke by 50%.

I'm so happy that I have a stock of Vitamins F!

Whooper Update:

Date: January 9, 2012 Reporter: David Sakrison, Director OM Board of Directors
Subject: FAA GRANTS WAIVER Location: Ripon, WI

We learned late this afternoon that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) had granted Operation Migration a one-time temporary exemption to allow its pilots to finish the 2011-2012 crane migration. The waiver extends through the end of March.

A statement released by the FAA on Monday afternoon said in part: “Because the operation is in ‘mid-migration,’ the FAA is granting a one-time exemption so the migration can be completed. The FAA will work with Operation Migration to develop a more comprehensive, long-term solution.”

We appreciate the agency’s efforts on our behalf, and we thank everyone; supporters and the public for the overwhelming outpouring of support on behalf of Whooping cranes and Operation Migration.
