BoB I think these are now belated Birthday Wishes because of the time difference in Australia. I hope you had a great celebration with Ozzie, family and friends.

Pa Norfolk has already had a busy morning....![]() The intruder female tried to enter the nest again around 6:35AM. Here is the description of the event with photos by Reese Lukei. CCB Blog Pa is sitting in the nest keeping a watchful eye out. |

Topa - Just loved your photos of The Lodge and golf course. We too get to see deer on our course, it is so pretty. The seals sound so happy in your video, just swimming around and playing. Wouldn't you know it, Alan saw an eagle on the golf course yesterday, no camera Will ask his golf buddies to send one as they used their cellphones to take pictures.Penny - Poor Pa Norfolk, he was arranging the nest this morning when I tuned in and brought some fresh greens. I wish DT would return but I don't think she wants any more confrotations with the intruder. |

Topa your Smilebox of the Pebble Beach Lodge and course was just so beautiful. I wonder if any of those deer ever get hit by a stray golfball If someone wants to play on their golf course, how much are the green fees?

Carole I think the intruder female #4 may just get her way and take over at NBG if #3 doesn't come home soon. I hope she didn't get hurt in those two aerial battles she had with #4. Maybe she was the loser and that's why #4 hasn't left the area I don't think Pa can keep on fighting with #4 indefintely...besides his hormones are still in breeding mode and he wants his new too. This is the first time these types of 'on the nest' confrontational battles have been seen on a cam as far as I know and that is why the numbers watching it are so huge. Almost 11,000 on the blog right now ![]() |

Penny, I noticed the golfers waiting for the deer to pass on some of the holes. One deer sat down on the course and the golfers still waited. The golfers we saw were taking their time on the course enjoying the game. There are two golf courses on the 17 mile drive. Pebble Beach and Spanish Hills. Developers wanted to build another golf course on the 17 mile drive, using some preserved land but the city wouldn't approve another golf course. Time to go for a walk. Happy Birthday Bbob.. I came over to the computer to post the Santa Cruz Update on FB and ended up here. How does that always happen? ![]() |
