Have a 'Hummer' of a Sunday Cruzers ![]() It's going to break a 46 year old record for heat here today. 15C/59F right now with a high of 23C/74F or higher expected ![]() I've got 2 dozen large garden lights out there for the second day of charging and they'll be in the ground tonight. Because they all have large glass heads on them, I don't leave them out in the winter so it's just another garden chore to deal with every year ![]() Snow what's that???

We didn't do anything special last night for St Patrick's Day. The only thing that happened around here was somebody was setting off some and then there was Siobhan hysteria

I got this from Operation Migration in my Inbox this morning and since Cheryl won't be able to do it i"m posting it here for anyone who wants to add their voice...![]() In January you provided supportive comments in the Operation Migration guestbook, which we collected and submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration. Your actions no doubt helped the FAA to grant our temporary exemption in just 11 days... Now we need you, and your voices again! The latest exemption petition has been published in our docket and is available for viewing by visiting this link. When the Federal Aviation Administration introduced the Light Sport regulations in 2008, they didn't have this reintroduction of Whooping cranes in mind. Because the rules didn't allow for our kind of flying, the FAA agreed to issue a temporary waiver until they could design a more permanent solution. This latest exemption outlines the permanent solution that has been reached between the FAA and Operation Migration and we need your supportive comments! We hope you will again voice your support of our work to safeguard Whooping cranes, which will allow us to continue the ultralight-guided migrations between Wisconsin and Florida and help to grow the new Eastern Migratory Population. You can access the public comment section of the FAA docket via this link. (Please note the system times out after 20 minutes) With much gratitude and appreciation, Joe Duff Operation Migration |

Jane Goodall spent her youth in the jungles of Africa studying Chimpanzees and changed the way we think of animals. Now she travels more than 300 days a year teaching the world that we can make a difference and that all we need is hope. It sounds like a simple message but there is something in her honesty and conviction that touches you. ![]() She is coming to Canada this month as part of her world tour to celebrate 50 years of work with Chimpanzees. This is an opportunity to preview a new movie titled “Jane’s Journey” and to meet one of the most influential people in the world. I encourage you to join Jane Goodall at one of these events and meet a truly remarkable person. Jane's Journey Trailer (1:37) To learn about the Ontario portion of Jane’s tour and to purchase tickets, visit JGI Canada. |

I just got back from playing golf and the highlight of my day was hearing an eagle call out and then see it soaring above our heads, , what a magnificent sight. Our friends couldn't believe I heard it so clearly, they sort of at me. Boy did I surprise them.
