we had a great time at the surprise party for our friend last night - he didn't have a clue until the very last second when his son ushered him into the house thru the front door - ruh roh - dan never uses the front door ..... it's a rainy grey day here and that's OK - we've had tons of sun and warm ..... although this will make the grass grow - hmmmm  gary's cold has knocked him out this AM - he's just getting up and he never sleeps this late - ever ...... so another good reason to enjoy the rain and just hang at home how's everyone what are ya doing this weekend wherever you are! time for a late breakfast so will BBL |

TODAY'S POND CRITTERS............. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME AN ALLIGATOR HAS BEEN SEEN ON THE POND. I WAS TOLD IT MUST HAVE COME FROM A GATED GOLF COMMUNITY AROUND THE CORNER. I WILL HAVE TO HAVE EYES IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD NOW   PA SANDHILL GOES FOR A WALK DOWN THE STREET    MA DOING HER NEST DUTY INCUBATING..........  GREAT BLUE HERON HIDING IN THE POND FOLIAGE...........

 Backyard bunny hunkered down in it's favorite spot under the lilac and honeysuckle trees. I leave this area 'wild' and it seems to have decided to stay..at least until all the new plant shoots are eaten

Carole I was horrified to see that gator in 'your' pond What will happen if he decides on Sandhill eggs for brekkies? The parents can fly off at least, unless he sneaks up on them. Would somebody from animal control remove it and take it to another less populated area? Keep Maya on a leash and watch your back!!! I would be absolutely terrified since it is so close to home  Karen good to hear you have put the wheels in motion for your official retirement. Personally I don't know how you have gotten up at that hour each weekday. You deserve to have some 'Me' time and I know you will find ways to fill in your soon-to-be leisure time. Only a few months till DK Day  Nice caching day you had Deb. Too bad ES has a cold...  doesn't help make anyone feel better either. The party sounded like a fun surprise  Did you eat lots of  cake ???Anybody know when Cheryl will be back? Seems like she's been gone for a long time. I'm  for the soon to be

P and #4 just hanging around the nest on a foggy day   I don't know why that date is on the top  because I just took it  The last time they were both in the nest in the middle of the afternoon is because an intruder was nearby Dare we hope for an egg today  |

Norfolk nest is empty now on a foggy rainy day.  You can hear the fountain below the nest and the occasional 'people' voices
