Outstanding NAC post Cheryl :><: :><: :><:

Wray and :EGSM: are so adoring and the Earth Day is so uplifting and the Island Fox has the perfect quizzical look on its face :)^

I totally understand shopping for rocks :P Last year we looked for some nice BIG ones but decided $400+ was just too 'hard' to accept so we just scrounged some much smaller ones for FREE rofl

Cheryl, beautiful NAC post today! <3 And amazing information about how the Whoopers are following the migration course so closely! :><:

Carole, what a trooper to get right into Eagleland without even a chance to recoup from your trip. :Hugs:

Carol, those people who run your living space are :dvl: :dvl: !! Not even allowing you HEAT if you need it! I so wish you could find a place you could have your Bird feeders, flowers, and heat when you want and need it. :Hugs:

I know it's the cycle of life but it's hard to see Bunnies like that. :'( I never lived where Bunnies were roadkill but we see that here, as well as Pheasants, Badgers, and Deer. :'( Several times Ed's made me stop the car on the road so he could move a dead Badger to a more "dignified" place than the side of the road. :(

Speaking of "dignified places", today Ed discovered this plaque in our rear garden bed, after weeding and general tending. :o

By the name we assume it's the father of our landladies, we're just not sure if it's just a memorial plaque or if Dad is resting in the garden.

Thank you for your kind words about the NAC post, everybody. When I saw Cindy's screen cap on FB awhile ago I wrote to her to ask if I could use it. I just liked the heart shape they made. Do you think it is Wray on the right? I thought the beak was thicker and larger. It would be nice to know for sure.

Penny, we scrounge rocks all the time, too. I even brought some of my favourites from our old house to our new one. A dear friend had given us a limestone rock with holes in it that he had collected while scuba diving in northern Lake Huron. Then I had a couple from the Rockies from a trip when we were very young, and so on. I can remember where I got most of them.

The rocks from the garden centre must be from northern Ontario. One has a lot of pink in it, one is filled with sparkly mica, and one is a soft yellow. They are about the size of a turkey or chicken so they didn't cost all that much. But we both want a larger one now if we can just figure out how to get one out of the car. It would involve Ian I think. I was hoping they would have a rock with some amethyst veins in it but not this time. They used to sell them there but at the time we had too many other bills to be buying a rock.

Kris, I do hope that is a memorial plaque and that is all, for your sake. :o I think it would be illegal to bury even cremated remains at home but I really don't know for sure. Hmm. Then again, maybe the man loved his garden and it really is where his ashes were buried.
