The hole in the fence an early Mom's day present ![]() ![]() Yesterday while we were out, our neighbor was mowing his grass when suddenly a rock was shot out at such a huge velocity that it went right through our fence. Both his kids were playing nearby and this was a huge wake-up call for him not to mow when the dog and kids are in the area. Luckily nobody was hurt. I still haven't found the rock but the part of the fence was over 15 feet away in a flower bed ![]() Luckily this fence will be repaired easily but when he gets the bill it will be a huge shock

Praline, my heart soared just looking at your Mother's day presentation. The mess on the nest for Wray, what can I say, reminds me of all the messes I've cleaned up over the years after meals. Terrific job and a feast for the eyes with all the photos. Cumbrian has an eidetic memory and would be the person to ask regarding the stats. It's a good thing that you were actually away and not out in your yard when the rock went through the fence, Penny. That is very fortunate that no person or animal was hurt. That does look like it's going to be expensive to fix, though .... an entire section will need to be replaced, won't it? |

![]() Enjoy your day, whatever your plans may be, everyone. Ian and Allison are coming over, and Matthew is coming from Toronto. We'll have Swiss Chalet take-out, my favourite, for supper. Robert has gone to get me a Tim Horton's coffee (I rarely have it, just make my own) and he made sure that the dogs said Happy Mother's Day with a lick.

"I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there." Mother Teresa (Mother Teresa)... ![]() Try not to put your focus on being against something... that is an attack thought. Instead, decide what you are for, then put your energy toward showing why it is a good or preferable thing. This puts you in a positive energy, giving off a positive light to the world. We had a wonderful Mother's Day with my Mom, sister, BIL and of course Maya. Plans changed early this morning as we were going to take Mom out for lunch but it was raining so we couldn't walk her to the restaurant in her wheel chair. Sister picked up a delightful lunch of yummy party sandwiches and baked my Mom's favourite dessert, strawberry shortcake The weather turned beautiful around 1:30 p.m. so we spent time in the gardens of the nursing home, just delightful. Alan and I were supposed to go to my friends for dinner but she is struggling with a serious medical issue and after a busy day with her family, she wasn't up to entertaining tonight, which is understandable. DH is now taking me out to my favourite restaurant in Montreal, a Greek venue with the best choice of fresh fish and all the wonderful side dishes that they are famous for. Tomorrow after we visit with Mom, pick up all our Montreal goodies, we head home. Will check in when we get home. |

G'day Peeps, and Happy Mother's day to all of you both to your children and pet children. Carole, Sorry to hear about your mom's health but I'm sure she was thrilled to have you there. Time in the garden is always delightful (unless a rock goes through the fence, gee Penny!) Love all the postings, especially the collage Earthmuffin, yes, we love all our pets... We had a terrific lunch, but the service was slooooow. An hour between entree and main. shesh.
