Carole, I woke up this morning wishing I was on vacation visiting a beach community. I was in a hurry to get out the door but quickly checked the NAC morning post and saw your Challenge Post. Thanks for making my morning perfect. Zoey and I were on the trail at 6:33 this morning getting out long before the rattlers slithered to the sunshine on the trail. We saw that they are making their way to the trails later in the day. Sadly people are killing them, we saw two dead rattlers on the trail a baby and an adult. I've never felt the need to kill a rattler. Anyway here is a yucca plume aka candle stick.

Good morning! I enjoyed your Two Harbors tour, Carole. It was the next best thing to our actual tour with Steffani! Topa, the yucca plant is gorgeous in bloom. Great picture. It's beyond me why people would kill a creature. If I saw a snake I would clear out, not kill it. |

Zoey loves baby Avery. OMGosh Zoeys maternial instincts really kicked in when Avery was fussy about her diaper change. Zoey moved right in licking Avery's head, hands and feet. ![]() Avery had her second doctors visit yesterday and has gained a pound and the Dr. said she is healthy in every way.

Topa, Zoey is such a good-hearted dog. You've trained her well to be able to be so attentive to Avery. |

Thank you Cheryl and Topa Topa - Zoey is so good with Avery, what a wonderful disposition she has. Enjoy your walk later today. The Yucca in bloom is gorgeous. Cheryl - What a cutie the whooper chicklet is

That's so true about all the terrific screen caps from the nest obs folks, Carole (including yourself). Just catching up on the Mother's Day posts.... Penny, that first place was awful. Good for you and Alan for leaving. That's just strange with the second place closing the dining area at 2:30 on one of the busiest days of the year. Your meal from the pancake place worked out well in the end but you both definitely had a tour. Cute bear cub on momma's back. Ozzie, I liked your photos of you with Rachel and with Bob. Your pearl earrings and necklace were so pretty. Jill, funny Maxine cartoon. I listened to George Burns singing about being 18, too. |

Carole, your visit with your mom worked out well even if you couldn't get out to a restaurant. Enjoying the treats made by your sister and then having the walk in the gardens must have been relaxing for everybody. |
