This is a Smilebox slideshow that Susan made when we celebrated Mother's Day. One daughter was MIA, working late. Click on the photo to view...

Just got back from the doctor for all the results from last week's check-up. All bloodwork and cardiogram were great. Unfortunately the back x-rays showed some added deterioration in 2 lower discs but that is normal for my age. The bone density scan also showed some osteopenia (a lesser form of osteoporosis) in my hip so must go on calcium and vitamin D. I stopped taking calcium years ago because it didn't agree with my tummy. Apparently there are many new ones that shouldn't bother me so will try that.

Carole, thanks for sharing your family pictures with us. Susan did a fine job with her slideshow. Everyone looked very happy. Little Maya seemed to be enjoying all the attention. I've had to start taking extra vitamin D and calcium, too. Your doctor was very thorough having you in for a follow-up visit. I'm always left wondering what the test results actually were. That's good news about the blood work and cardiogram. Deb, I hope they keep those beautiful palm trees at the Financial Center. Thanks for the little tour.Jill, I had to show the R2D2 joke to DH. Believe it or not, we have one of those. I think it might be full-sized since it is higher than my waist. Ian brought it home from work, put it on the front porch, rang the doorbell and hid. Robert loves anything to do with Star Wars, although he likes Yoda the most. Our R2D2 is actually a large ice cooler to hold cans and bottles for a party (which we will never have). It even has a drain faucet in the base. It was part of a display theme for Pepsi. The season finale for 'Grey's Anatomy' is on tonight. |

Deb, I just looked at both of your travel slideshows. That was a clever idea turning the old cages into a restaurant. It was fun to see all the places and critters. Penny, oh my, I didn't realize there was a concern about the male bears not being around. Come on home fellas! |
