As we all can tell, the board was basically dead until Pwime showed up from the depths of the web or where ever he was hiding. The few reappearances so far have made me miss the community we used to have here more than ever, so I'd like to see if there is any interest from the few (read two) of you have that have shown back up to try to revive this board. If we decide yes, I can send a mass email to everyone that has an account here saying that we are back from the dead and probably get a few members back. Also, I think we might want to think about getting some sort of new focus, the whole general board with no focus thing I think kinda hurt the longevity of the board, since new members had no clue what the point of the board was. Although, you could kinda argue we started out as a TF board simply due to most of use being from Tfans originally. Personally, I kinda like to focus on video games or media (games, movies, TV, music) in general. Thoughts? And yes I know I'm basically just asking you Pwime... If you're interested you'll probably get the one of the only other staff position since we never really needed all the mods we had. |

I think media would be pretty good. Music, games, movies, and TV are areas that pretty much everyone can connect with... although if you were thinking of revamping the enitre board, I think it'd be important to keep a section for the funnies, and also a section for members to be creative...share their art, music, etc.

I wouldn't be a complete revamp. Pretty much all the forums in the Aquinas Router would remain as is. Echelon would be what would be getting the overhaul (Goodbye Sector 7 and New World Order). I'm also open for a rename and a new appearance. The advantage of a rename would be the ability to get a domain name like BoardName.com, which we can't really do with Illuminatus since they're all taken (Except stuff like Illuminatus.asia). |

Hmmm...did you have anything in mind? Or should we get a brainstorm going? |

I currently have no real idea, so a brainstorming session is what we need. It'd be nice if there were a few more of us hammering this out. I'll try to see if I can't get a hold of my brother (Wise Duck) and see if wants anything to do with the revamp. |

Sounds good. I've been getting back into the swing of photoshop lately, so I'd be willing to help with making new icons/banners/etc if we go through with a revamp like that. |

Awesome. I've never been that much of a graphics designer, hence my cheesy buttons. I have been trying to get up to date on CSS and HTML, since I never really learned anything past how to make websites back in the late 90's, so making/modifying the skins should be a lot easier now. BTW check out the new shoutbox. |

Yeah, its much nicer since its actually part of the board. In fact a lot of the stuff I used have to do manually or make hacks for are built in to the newer board software. For example, there is a built in name change request form in the profile settings. |

Well, Wise Duck told me that he'd help. I still have no clue what to rename the place to though. Which is annoying, since I usually consider myself good at coming up with names for things. |

Well right after that I sort of did an internal brainstorming session while at Walmart picking up some food. I played with the concepts of being over entertained, these are the only ones I came up with worth mentioning: Infinite Appetite for Distractions Perpetual Escape Sea of Irreverence Sensory Overload Time-Wasters Anonymous Some I would have liked to use but are taken: Over Entertained The Escapist Reality is Overrated As you can tell I was going for the general idea of over consuming media. Most the ones I tossed out were bad puns. |

Oh where oh where should I dump the Sector 7 threads? GD or Entertainment? Also, I'm starting to think all the old threads should just be thrown into some sort of archive... mainly because I don't want to have to sort out all the different threads from Entertainment for whatever expanded forums we get. |

*emerges from woodwork* I like the' aperitif for distraction', it made me chuckle It'd be nice to see the board revived, I've got extra time on my hands after handing in my dissertation in last week. I have myself cut down on transformers collecting (Hasbro UK have made that easy with no new moulds since November) and my collecting came full circle in February with a mib Rotorstorm replacing the Fubar one from childhood. Though myspare time at the moment is focussed upon trying to get the energon universe Leokaiser i've been working on finished. I don't really post on Tfans much anymore, I've somewhat moved to the 2005 boards and post in the UK thread and occasionally update my comic (not since late last year now so it's due an update.) In real life, in my final year of uni at Lincoln University studying drama and am having to to face the real world and put myself forward for acting/writing agencies. I'm currently involved in writing and performing a comedy revue that is going up to Edinburgh for the festival in August so that's going to be exciting. Got back with my first girlfriend last september after a year of being single and things are going well. Had some health scares in January but they've sorted themselves out. Games wise I bought myself a xbox 360 and have a few games including left for dead 1&2, Gears of war and Ghostbusters. Glad to hear things have been going well for others

I don't think any really posts at Tformers (formally Tfans) anymore after BaCon (Wheeljack) became so draconian with his policies. I know most the INHers formed TFINO, which is about the only place I still discuss Transformers anymore. Although, I've pretty much lost most my interest in collecting them after getting some of the RotF figures. The only one I'm actively looking for is Animated Arcee. As far as collecting goes, I've actually shifted to collecting NECA Player Select figures. Really, as always I mainly collect video games and DVDs/Blurays. Its good to hear from you Modesty. |

I wanted to grab the Player Select Raziel and Kain from the Legacy of Kain series, but they're quite old and are impossible to find in stores these days. And I'm broke. Although I don't buy figures anymore, i still follow the toy industry pretty closely because I love seeing some of the stuff they crank out. Have you guys heard of a company called Hot Toys? I'd recommend checking their stuff out...all 1:6 scale figures, but the detail is incredible.Good to see you back Modesty! I wonder who will pop up next...

Yeah, I've heard of Hot Toys, but its entire a look no purchase due to the prices. I just started collecting the Player Select stuff this year, so there are a couple of figures I missed that I want like Raziel, Kain, and Agent 47 from Hitman. |

Yeah, I started with Soul Reaver for Dreamcast. I have all the games, but I've never played Defiance, since I have it for Xbox, but my Xbox died before I could play it, and my 360 can't play it. I'll probably pick up the PS2 version at some point. |
