So to keep my thought train on its tracks and to provide a sort of coordinating topic you see the topic before you. ![]() The wedding ceremony will proceed as follows: The guests will take their seat in the Pyrena Castle Chapel. The Envoys of the Goddesses will stand at the front of the Chapel, with the Envoy of Islyna standing behind the pulpit. To her right and left will stand three Envoys each who will, from right to left, speak a short passage commemorating their relationship to the bride and bridegroom while confering the blessings of the Goddess they're the envoy of. The Envoys of Adora, Sehkma, and Anahima (standing to the right, and in that order) will speak their passages first. After which the Envoys of Mai'lia, Soluna and Irivia (standing to the left) will speak their passages, in that order. Once their passages have been spoken the Envoy of Islyna, Evangeline, shall speak hers and offer her blessings to the union, after which the couple will exchange their vows, share a kiss, and Evangeline will officiate the wedding. I'd like to leave the passages up to those who are selected as Envoys, the blessings being the only thing that will remain consistent across the board. The passage, commemorating their relationship to the couple, will be followed by the following line: "[Goddess], [Secondary title of the Goddess], recognizes the union between Beatrice Anselmo and Alexander and confers Her eternal blessings upon their Union. Upon their birth Islyna gave birth to two united souls to two separate bodies, torn asunder in this world. As these two souls have longed for each other and sought out one another, traversing the passage of time and the expanses of distance, let their search end on this Holy day; let them be rejoined. [Goddess] celebrates the rebirth and reunion of Beatrice Anselmo and Alexander; let what Islyna has willed come to pass!" Example Blessing:
Further suggestions and input are welcome, but I'm fairly happy with the direction I've drifted towards in this wave of inspiration!

I'm liking where this is going. Just out of curiosity, how will the 'walking down the aisle' workout? Will they enter together or separately? I feel there should also be a designated room (away from the East Dining Hall) for the reception, much like there was back in April 2011. Crap, was the Royal Wedding really that long ago? Though only important to the inner vexillologist in me, how will flag arrangements work pre-wedding? Will Prince Alexander's Dartfordian Royal Standard take precedence over King's, and will there be any particular arrangement of national colours/flags/symbols within the Chapel? |

Beatrice will enter first and be present in front of the Envoys, then Alexander will join her. Once together they'll be showered with cherry blossoms, and the wedding will begin with the passages. We can also do a dedicated room for a reception! ![]() As for flag arrangements, I'll defer that call to you if you don't mind. The Chapel will be a blend of the national colours/flags/symbols of Rokkenjima and Dartfordia, with the Rokkenjiman Butterfly displayed more prominently. |

It's more of a technical question, but would Prince Alexander's children inherit Dartfordia?

So theoretically a female first child could inherit both thrones?

I'm not sure how it'll work exactly in Dartfordia, so CGJ would have to clarify that. It would make for an interesting situation, to say the least.

I think Dartfordia would use the conventional Agnatic-Cognatic succession rules - ie younger takes precedence over elder daughter.

I have released the full statement in the Wedding Invitation topic. I have clarified the point about being heir apparent/heir presumptive. But just to confirm: Dartfordia uses absolute (or equal) premem...premenogi...primonegi...primogeniture. Meaning that, if it's a girl, she will eventually become both Empress of Rokkenjima and Queen of Dartfordia, and cannot be displaced by a younger brother. |

So I guess we can't get any spoilers on future kiddos. Does Dartfordia practice parliamentary supremacy? Perhaps an Act o' Parliament could amend the order of succession to favor a second child to avoid a personal union. If, of course, one is not desired. The simplest way, obviously, would be to have a first male child and second female child. |

Beatrice and I have discussed future kiddos, however... ![]() All will be sorted, although I don't plan on killing off George or Alex for a while, so we don't have to worry about personal union. A change in the order of succession can be passed by either an ParliAct or by the heir apparent (or anyone in the LoS) renouncing their claim to the throne. If we wanted to avoid personal union, but still have their first child female OR have their only child as male, then either of those options can be used. Edited by CGJ, 13th February 2014 - 02:38 AM.

I assume Comrade Stalin will be the best man. Also what is the limit of wedding gifts? Is it like a $5000 limit or what? I do not want to be outdone by Elpidia.

Sorry, but there's no best man in Rokkenjiman weddings. Just don't go handing guns out to the guests or anything and perhaps we can see about some sort of post for you. ![]() And hmm, I was thinking of gifts and such, but will review my ideas tonight.

I suppose for musical entertainment we can have the Jonathania City Philharmonic play? If you don't want classical, GJ has many great bands. Music and the arts are one of our strong points in GJ.

I think a mixture of Rokkenjiman and Dartfordian culture will suffice. Although during the reception it's likely standard pop/nightclub music will be used. As for gifts, guys...please don't try and outdo yourselves. I'll need to speak with Beato about a few ideas as to where they can go, but for now chillax

I can't be having you attending if you're encouraging your press to yap at me like a bunch of well-trained hounds. Aside from that, I think any classical music is to be provided by the hosts. |

I feel gifts will probably be in the form of donations to charities, as I feel the Empress (and Prince) would wish to help people in need.
