Lyrosian News Network. Our top story tonight! Emperor Lyrosir XXIV, may he live forever, has emerged from his five month absence from the people. Numerous rumors had gone around for the reason of his appearance, but all were disproved by the government, in a statement today, it was revealed that Emperor Lyrosir XXIV was "overseeing government business". Many people speculate that this could be linked to the Empires mysterious military base, Unitas VII. The government has denied such rumours. The Emperor, at an age of 63, appeared in Liasia town square, surrounded by a group of the Royal Guard. His arrival was well publicized, and within minutes dozens of camera crews were waiting to see what he would do. As he stood overlooking the square from a temporary stage, he raised his right hand, and the crowd fell silent.
The Royal Guard in unison saluted as Emperor Lyrosir XXIV finished his short speech. The crowd began to cheer and applaud as the Emperor made his way out of the square. The Emperor has finally returned, and the Empire is safe in the knowledge that Emperor Lyrosir XXIV has returned. Rejoice! |

Martial law declared! After the Emperor's move on the Lyrosian parliament, martial law has been declared, the Lyrosian military, lead by the Emperors, the Defence Secretary and Chief of the Defence Staff. This move has been done to ensure that public unrest is kept to an overall minimum. It was a move that shocked the nation however the Emperor assures that it was necessary. It is unknown how long the martial law will be in effect, but it is hoped it will keep commerce and trade disruption to a minimal. The military's special forces unit, Legio Invicta, has been put on the case of looking for the recently-declared criminal Adrastia Austerlitz. It has been discovered that she was not even within the city at the time of the election, despite claims from her party that she was simply late. This has been brought to the attention of the Emperor, as it can be a sign of a information leak. |

Firefights break out! Firefights in Stormgarde has left sixty-two dead and many more injured, following a military checkpoint being set up at the towns edge with a small garrison, people against the Emperors acts against the government in recent days, the conflict ended in a swift government victory which sustained only a third of the overall casualties. Several bombs have also been discovered and defused in Liasia. A curfew has been set from 9:00pm to 7:00am. |

Troops Mobilized! The Emperor has moved in troops in Corelthien - the south-eastern territory in the Lyrosian Empire - in an attempt to extinguish public disorder and defected soldiers. It is believed at the moment that three Divisions had defected, numbering roughly 30,000 troops. The three Divisions being: 1st Armoured Division 3rd Rifle Divison 1st Mechanized Division. with roughly 92,000 Lyrosian Soldiers being deployed to counter what was originally believed to be strongholds, the 'frontline' troops have been met with silence. The divisons have almost melted away in, opting to conduct Guerrilla warfare instead of a more conventional head on approach. Several logistical support and supply lines have already been attacked in the face of The Lyrosian soldiers being moved in. Although support only seems small, after the Emperor's move on the Government, civil unrest has reached a high, several riots have broken out across the country, which have been met with varied response levels by the police. Martial Law lifted! With the Emperor's new government finally coming into effect, Martial law has been lifted as public order has come to an acceptable level. The new government shall take over tommorow, and elections will restart in six years. News on the 30,000 traitors. With their command structure decimated, the 30,000 quickly disintegrated into nothing more than an untrained mob. It was believed that Adrastia Austerlitz, one of the people to escape from the Emperor's judgement, attempted to seek foreign aid. However, it appears such attempts have failed. With 92,000 Lyrosian soldiers occupying all of the traitor regiment's bases, it appears that '30,000' was in word only, and has been reassessed to be little more than 6,000. Most are on the run, or have been apprehended and await execution. |
