Standing Order; Enacting Clause

The Rt. Hon.
Fellow Senators,

I've noticed that none of our bills have an enacting clause. These are not absolutely necessary, but I rather like them. I propose we choose one, and then retroactively apply it to all legislation. I have the following suggestions.

"Be it enacted by the Grand Chancellor, by and with the consent of the Senate of the Independent Order."

"The Grand Chancellor, by and with the consent of the Senate, enacts the following."

I think that would work well.

Perhaps:

"Be it enacted by the Grand Chancellor's most Excellency, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, in this present Senate assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:"

"Be it enacted by His Excellency the Grand Chancellor, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, and by the authority of the same, as follows:"
I move that the above be adopted as the standard enacting formula to be applied to all future acts, and that the Speaker be authorized to apply it to all passed acts.

"Beg to move" is not a thing. That's asking permission to move, a move itself is asking permission to do something. So your asking permission to ask permission. :P
