Mass Murderer To Walk Free After 30 years In Prison Mass Murderer Mattias FlinkFlink was originally sentenced to life in prison for seven murders and three attempted murders in Falun in June, 1984. Flink was 14 at the time of the attack, where he shot seven people dead and injured three others in the vicinity of Dalregementet, where he was stationed and held the rank of second lieutenant in the junior armed forces. He had earlier argued with his girlfriend and was heavily intoxicated when he fired 51 rounds from his military-issued AK5 rifle. The victims, five women and two men aged 20 to 35, were all in a park in the centre of the town at the time. Last week, after having served two-thirds of his sentence, Flink was ordered free from prison, and has since spent time in transition where he is prepared for life on the outside. He is set to return to daily life on Wednesday. While the TT agency noted that there could be a risk relating to Flink's previous alcohol abuse, probation officer Petra Tullgren said there wasn't much the prison could do. "We have no power to say someone can't drink alcohol. There is no legal support for a move like that, and it's probably impossible to monitor anyway," she said. Flink has previously said in interviews that he never intends to drink again for moral reasons. Edited by Forena, 12th June 2014 - 05:54 PM.

National Government Agrees on New Agricultural Agreement![]() The Conservative Party (Høyre), the Progress Party (FRP), the Liberal Left (Venstre) and Christian Democrats (KRF) agreed on a new agricultural agreement on Wednesday. The parties agree on an increase in the budget of around NOK 250 million more than what was originally offered to the farmers. This is the same amount that the Liberal Left and Christian Democrats asked for before the weekend, so it may seem like the center parties won the negotiations this time around. Minister of Agriculture Sylvi Listhaug (FRP) originally offered the farmers an increase in the budget of K 150 million from last year, which is only one tenth of what the farmers asked for in a new agreement. Now the total budget is set to be increased by K 400 million. Normally, Parliament accepts the government's offer without any negotiations, but this year a majority of the parties in Parliament voiced that may not accept Listhaug's offer, and the negotiations came to halt on May 14. Listhaug sent her proposal to Parliament on Friday last week, and the Conservative Party and the Progress Party negotiated with the Liberal Left Party and the Christian Democrats until Wednesday evening in order to finalize this year's agricultural agreement. The agreement also resulted in massive protests from the farmers, who traveled to Huvustad on tractors to protest against Listhaug's offer. Several of them accuse the government of favoring the largest farms because the new system will grant more money to the largest and most efficient farmers. Norgens Are Shopping Like Crazy![]() "Norgens shopping like crazy" analysts titled a recent report that shows that revenue in Norwen retail increased by 0,5 percent in April, despite an expected decline. The retail sales revenue increase by 0,5 percent from March to April. Norgens spend more money on electricity and fuel, but less on cars, gas and sports equipment. The growth in the retail industry was presented in the retail sales index and the household consumption index, both published by Statistics Norge on Wednesday. The report shows that Norgens spend 0,7 percent more money on food, beverages and cigarettes, and 3,1 percent more on electricity and fuel, which helped bring up the total sales index by 0,5 percent. Looking at the retail industry in more detail, building, hardware and paint shops all showed an increase in revenue. Grocery stores and other food stores also had a positive growth, whereas sport stores showed a decline in revenue. Overall, the increase was higher than expected. Analysts had predicted a decline of 0,3 percent, Nordea Markets reports. "The growth in the retail industry now points to stronger growth in private consumption than what the Bank of Norge has predicted. Even if the current retails sales revenue was to remain flat for the remainder of the year, the strong growth so far this year will secure a total increase of around 2 percent. The Bank of Norge's estimate for private consumption in 2014 is 1,75 percent," Nordea Markets states. A strong growth in the retail industry can increase inflation rates, and as a result also the key interest rate. Edited by Forena, 12th June 2014 - 06:23 PM.

The Gothi Has Been Arrested For Charges of Treason and Abusing Human Rights Member of the Home Guard During the OperationToday, the 5th Norgen Legion of the Home Guard arrested the Fifty-Third Gothi Harold Bluetooth on charges of treason and abusing human rights. In a statement Bluetooth made yesterday, he stated that he was declaring war on behalf of Forena on all Christians in the country and was going to have the Forenan Government purge the world of Christianity. This statement led to an uproar in the international community, causing members of the CSTO and the JPU to rethink Forena's application for an observer status. Thus, President Fredrik Reinfeldt made an official statement this morning, apologizing to the international community about the Gothi's hateful message. In the statement, the President stated that the comments made by the Gothi were to be investigated immediately, and soon after the release of the statement, the Forenan Parliament issued a warrant for the Gothi's arrest. Over 100 members of the Norgen Home Guard participated in the capture of Harold Bluetooth. The Gothi is now in custody and is being transported to Huvustad City, where he will face two charges that could get him the death penalty. In the meantime, the High Church of Hedendom has appoint Olaf Gormsson to be the interim Gothi. Edited by Forena, 30th September 2014 - 09:33 PM.

The Gothi is to Be Executed The Gothi Being Led to the GallowsToday, the Supreme Court of Forena ruled Harald Bluetooth guilty of treason and abusing human rights in the recent Odinist scandal facing the entire world. On june 17, the former Gothi released a statement, calling Christianity a heretic religion and that the Forenan government was to purge the world of Christianity. He said "I, the Fifty-Third Gothi of Hedendom, is herby declaring Christianity to be a heretic religion in Forena. This makes all Christians legal enemies of my religion and of my state. Also, this means that my nation has the blessings of Odin to purge the nations of the world of Christianity." This made the Forenan Government get into hot water with many other nations, especially Christian ones. This led to President Reinfeldt making a statement to the international community and calling api the government to investigate the situation. After a man delivering documents laced with anthrax to the President was caught, it was revealed that the Gothi was planning to state a coup. Thus, the Gothi was captured, tried, and then executed. The new Gothi, Olaf Gormsson, has now been officially given the title and is expected to make a statement to Forena and the international community tomorrow. Online Grocery Sales Increase![]() The days of hand-picking tomatoes at the supermarket are over, if you believe the thousands of customers who do their groceries online and have them delivered to their doorstep. At present, estimates suggest that every two-hundredth bag of groceries bought in the capital region is bought on the Internet. “The growth is rather strong,” characterises Kari Luoto, the managing director at the Forenan Grocery Trade Association. Although the Internet only accounts for a relatively insignificant share of all grocery sales, some 0.5 per cent, the buzz around online grocery retailers is intensifying. “Growth in comparison to last year will be 2.5—3-fold,” approximates Hanna-Kaisa Risku, the managing director at Kauppahalli.com. Major grocery chains are similarly investing in their online capabilities. HOK Elanto opened its first dark store in Pakkala, Vantaa, last week, while Kesko expanded the availability of its online grocery store into Espoo and Kauniainen earlier this summer. In addition, Kesko has announced that a number of its grocery stores will begin selling groceries online as early as this year. |
