 National Caelidia Public News Station Presidential Congress Re-elected By Parliament  Augusto Meena  Antonio Mendez  Gia Espanzia  Aldo H. Julius Parliament, as annually agreed on, have finished their re-shuffle of Presidential Congress. The result: The same congress from last year is staying in office, Antonio Mendez, Gia Espanzia, Aldo Julius and Augusto Meena have been re-elected by a vote of 86% of the parliament's approval. There was small opposition to the re-election and even those who did oppose their re-election, hardly put any effort towards promoting the congress' unelection this year. The Prime Minister, Maria Villa, told NCPNS(National Caelidia Public News Station) that she is happy to be working with the progressive and stable re-elected congress again. "They are a vital part of the executive government, and I myself am proud to be working alongside them once more." The President Congress, has declared their yearly plan for the Confederate government puting an emphasis on trade relations with foreign countries and loosening the government's grip on the mixed economy. "We want to give more economic control to the actual public" says Gia Espanzi. "Several united worker fronts have taken up managment of their own economic resources. While doing this, we will work towards opening up the market. A free market is still not desirable to Caelidia's interest. With us being settled between many socialist countries, their idealogies have been increasingly effective in our own and have politically influence the Caelidian states for decades. We wish maintain our mid-point stance." National Caelidia Public News Service Caelidia Prepares For Possible War  Caelidian Troops Assemble to Protect Border Minister of the Armed Forces, Ernesto Che Guevara, made a public statement on the Thematan issue next door, "By vote and order of the President Congress and Parlaiment, Caelridia will be in a state of war with the Soviet Themata at the end of the 48 hour period, this war will be in efforts show retalliation and opposition to Soviet tyranny across the world. With this, our troops have gathered combat-ready at the Themata-Caelidia border. Our naval forces have also started intense deployments and patrols of the Rokkenjiman Sea. Under the command of Supreme Comandante Revera, these actions have been committed to." Caelidia has long been anti-totalitarian and have rejected any contact with the totalitarian oppressive state of United Soviet Russia. Caelidia can no longer avoid this tyranical state, Caelidia must fight back this enemy now that it has settled in the backyard of the Confederation. "States like these are hell bent on accumulating power and land." Says Antonio Mendez, El Presidente of Malidia. "A state can choose to be totalitarian but it will not abuse the fundemental basics of human rights in our backdoor. The U.S.R is an evil state on the path of obtaining power and influence around the world. Ardia, has been the main obstacle in the path and this is their attempt to set the foundations of political influence within Ardia." "With the power of U.S.R and it's allies, a war would be catestrophic across the entire world, a war would be fought in nearly ever theatre of every landscape in every nation. But, Caelidia is willing to march to Moscow to destroy the Soviet Shadow once and for all. War is sometimes the cost for liberty, viva Caelidia."  Over 70% of the country promotes military action and thinks invasion is most necessary if the 48 hour deadline is not met. Arguers against the declaration war, such as Aldo Julius are furious over this decision, "War is a nature of man that should banished by the grace of the Dioses." Aldo told Public News. "Intervention is the last thing we should do, external affairs of the world are of no issue to the pueblo and dire consequences shall cone from these war affairs Caelidia is willing to participate in, we will regret it." National Caelidia Public News Service Caelidia to Begin Militaristic Operations Against Themata  Caelidia is sure that war iminent, with the Caelidian 48 hour deadline coming down to only 15 hours. Troops on fhe ground anticipate in nervous stature while only a hair away from the Thematan border. Many civilians who call towns near the border home are also nervous and are hoping Caelidian operations are a success, as it's widely feared that WARSAW forces could invade Caelidia, enforcing the facist soviet policy across the Confederation. The Supreme Commandante, says that there is nothing to be to worried about though, "We have some of the best most up to date defense systems along with Rokkenjima's. We also have a sufficient amount of troops and tremendous air power and naval power. Invading a country such as Caelidia, Rokkenjiman or Quinntopia would be nearly impossible to extremely resource consuming if not done in joint co-operation." Many still fear though that war may come to Caelidia itself, despite this many are certain thay war is sure to start. It depends on who will fire the first shot. National Caelidia Public News Service War Begins Against Soviet Themata  F-18 dropping it ordance on Warsaw forces Caelidia has started it's assault on Soviet Themata with a full large scale two day air assault gaining air dominance across all military operating areas. Supreme Commandante Juan García, released a report of the progress of the current operations, "The first strike was ultimately successful and Caelidia has claimed the air as it's own. While there was air resistance and several Caelidian losses, more enemy aircraft amlnd ground forces were exterminated under the Caelidian sword. So far, tomorrow looks like mop up and we are hitting the air harder tomorrow in attempt to assure our superiority." Thousands of soldiers are still at the border but have not moved an inch away or toward it. Instead, the Caelidian ground forces sat back and watched a firework display unfold in front of them. "It was an insane sight to see" Says Paul Felipe, a Caelidian mountain foot soldier, "Seeing hundreds of aircraft operate within the same place was a spectacle to see, viva." Paul continued. "We could see the black smoke and fire from far away." Says Tilda Rifulo, a mother of five along the border. "The explosions would sometimes rattle the entire house and one of my older sons had to go find one our horses that was spooked away. Luckily the horse didn't cross the border." Many other civilians witnessed the massive display of bombs and even witnessed a Warsaw aircraft go down and a pilot eject. There were more engagements and bombings beyond the viewable border and soon the bombs sounded more distant throughout the day. So far five pilots are confirmed KIA, and others MIA. National Caelidia Public News Service Futbol to Begin This Summer  The Caelidia Confederation games will start by the end July, where two teams from each independent state will will compete for the Confederacy Cup. So far, all states are vowing to participate and as independent games are finishing up, the confederation has yet to know who will participate in the long awaited games. From the two final teams, the best players will be chosen and put up for trials to enroll in the Caelidia national team. The confederation's team head coach, Robert Allidoro tells public news: "I see many potential players out there, but it's a matter of choosing player who can unlock and explore that potential. A player, who has already exceeded his potential and his only goal os to get better. That's what i'm looking for, while I love players who have potential, this isn't junior league and I simply can't afford that." The San Antonio, Armadillos are a strong team and Robert says that this is team he'll be looking at to goto the top of the leaderboard. The Armadillos have always had amazing past independent season but came up short and didn't make the qualitication for the Confederation Futbol Games. Many however, doubt that the Armadillos will succeed this year, many like Sports Journalist José Rodrigez who says: "The Armadillos are the biggest let down team in the last decade. They're fun to watch at the beginning but as you near the finals their momentum falls short. They have the tendancy to score the goal at the last minute, then they let the rest of the game go and BOOM, the other team scores, overtime and the Armadillos lose." Some sports fans seems to agree while others ofcourse, disagree. Sports fanatic and Armadillos fan Juan Guarta disagrees with José: "What! The Armadillos are the best team out there esse! Ernesto Velidia is the best player in the game, and Armadillos have an all-star goalkeeper who, to this day holds the number of blocked goals in the history of Caelidian Futbol!" Like every feud there are two sides, in the case of Caelidian Futbol, there are four. Thematan Refugees  Over 80 Thematan refugees have arrived at various military checkpoints along the Caelidian border from eastern Sunlit. While the military at first detered these refugees and perceived them as illegal imimgrants, Antonio Mendez the president of Malidia worked through parliment to grant these refugees temporary asylum in the Caelidia. Before the war, Caelidia has always had strict imigration policy, holding illegal imigration to no mercy and full intent of Caelidian law. The only exceptions that have existed since the Confederation's founding was during all Thematan events. When, Themata was under oppression of a corporatist regime Caelidia harbored over 400 Thematan refugees. And over 70 of those refugees earned full citizenship in Caelidia. Antonio Mendez put his neck out for the refugees debating and lecturing parliament for over 4 and a half hours. The parlaiment passed authority to allow refugees harbor in the Capitol city, San Antonio. National Caelidia Public News Service Intense Warfare in Themata Brings Heavy Losses  Satelite imagery of the waging battle  Above is Caelidian troops in what is now being called: Battle Over the Thematan Hills. The Confederation is shocked today as new numbers come in on the causualties in the war with Soviet Themata. On the firsy day of the war, only five pilots were lost and other MIA, on the second none were lost. On the third, two soldiers were lost during the occupation of border towns. On the fourth day, over two-hundred foot soldiers lost their lives in the assault on the mountains. On the fifth day, seven-hundred-fourty-five troops were lost. And now, on the sixth day, the third day of The Battle of the Thematan Hills, over 1,500 Caelidian soldiers were lost. This adds up to a loss of a little over 2,000 causualties. The Supreme Commandante, Juan García, gave a statement to public news saying, "The first confrontation in the hills was a mistake by one of the Colonels operating in the theatre. Troops were moved into the hills with little to no support under the preconception that the hills with unprotected, it soon was found that the Soviets have put up multiple defences with the use of unconventional guerilla tactics. The use of these tactics have been nearly impeneratrable, our troops on the ground are having a hard problem navigating amd moving around the hills wothout being ambushed by an MG nest. This has caused the most intense losses Caelidia has experienced in a war for nearly over a century." "While we do have superior technology and an all dominating airforce, our ground forces are struglling even with the close support of air and artillery." Some, like Aldo H. Julius call for an end of the war, he stated in the Pueblo Party Convention on Sunday that: "This war has gone too far. Too many young men and women are losing their lives and I will not stand for it!" Aldo recieved a thunderous applaus but is met with disagreement everwhere he turns. "Pulling out of this war at this stage is impossible" says Augusto Meena, "Unless you want Warsaw kicking down Caelidia's door in the future, we cannot pull out. National Caelidia Public News Service More Thematan Refugees Arrive at Border  A refugee camp along the border with Themata More Thematan refugees arrive at the border fleeing from the soviet regime after hearing news that Caelidia will accept Thematan citizens considering themselves refugees of the oppressive regime. While the populous in Themata is getting more rebellious, many women and children leave the country. Lori Bakers, a mother of two children says: "A revolution or rebellion against the soviets will be bloody. It will succeed but for my children's safety, I won't let them live through this. I don't think Themata is stable enough for us now, I hope they allow partial of full citizenship, i'm tired of cold and mountains." These new refugees now amass at the border in hundreds, not the previous eighty refugees who recently arrived days ago. The previous eighty refugees are in the Confederation capitol, San Antonio, recieving proper medical care and adequate shelter. The federative administration however is unsure how to deal with the new two-hundred-fifty-one refugees amassed at the borders in large camps. Presidente Aldo H. Julius of nationstate San Montegue, stated that, "I won't allow non-Caelidian's to simply step over the border and into my nation. While I could care less for the rest of the provinces i'm calling for an end to Antonio Mendez's extreme liberal agenda. If the Confederation still reverted back to the rules set in place by the original Treaty of the Confederation in 1933 then we would not have this problem nor would we be in an extensive war that is costing over TWO-THOUSAND Caeldian lives!" While Aldo H. Julius is fighting in and out of Presidential Congress to boot refugees out of tue country Antonio Mendez is fighting to allow refugees. Antonio however could not reached for comment. Other presidents in the Presidential Congress agree with Antonio Mendez though in allowing refugees. "These people are running an oppressive regime, " Gia Espanzia says. "Our Caelidian people were running from an oppressive totalitarian regime for over one-hundred and on July 5th, 1908 we rebelled against our masters because we had no where to run. Because we had no where to run, millions were prosecuted and killed under the Nora Empire blade. We must give Thematan's an opportunity we never had." Currently, the 200+ refugees have set up a tent city along the border under military supervision, and the politicians still argue on what to do with them. Despite the controversy of these refugees, many like Joe Fillman are just happy to be in protective hands, "We've been through hell with too many oppressive regimes!" Joe says. "I lost a son in the recent war and won't take any chances with this one. I will proud to call myself a Caelidian in the future if the opportunity is made clear for me." Ground War in Themata Comes to a Stand-still  Pvt.Elquarillo looks down toward the Thematan Hills. Caelidian ground forces have had troubling efforts in cracking through the terrain advantage Warsaw troops hold. Despite the strong air power of Caelidia, the Warsaw ground forces have been able to hide under bombardment and seeked to be undetected by Caelidian electronic warfare offensives. Due to these troubles, the military is launching a non-offensive campaign but a balanced campaign of attack and defend manevures. The Caelidian military will be primarily focused on occupying towns and cities in efforts to promote rebelling among the population. Information is limited beyond this point as the Confederation Armed Forces is keeping many ongoing operations, confidential. "Warsaw is an army trained at the heart of innovation of guerilla warfare." Says Cuerpo Commandante Batista. "Their unconventional tactics and ways of waging war has been proven effective against our forces. However, now that we know their tactics and approach to us, we can efficiently apply that knowledge to engaging Warsaw forces. I just wish that it was not at the cost of 2,000+ Caelidian soldiers." Political Tensions Escalate to New Heights Aldo H. Julius, president of the Caelidian state of San Montegue, has threatened to secede his state from the war the Soviet Themata. This would leave the Confederation's military without 65,000 military personnel. This threat has sparked intense political tensions in the confederation, specifically in Antonio Mendez's administration where he has taken actions to threaten Aldo with trade sanctions against San Montegue. Aldo replied to this threat with, "It's only talk." and "Sanctions against San Montegue would not only effect San Montegues economy and the stability of the people's lives but it will destablize the Montegue people's political stability. This will further promote unrational seperatist ideals, endangering the confederation." Antonio Mendez however won't back down on his stance, while the rest of the congress disagrees with both presidente's actions they seem to be stuck in their own affairs toward eachother. Parliament has also denied Antonio any action foward toward San Montegue and Aldo, Gia Espanzia and Augusto Meena are behind the parliament and have voted to ultimately temporarily boot Aldo H. Julius and Antonio Mendez out of Presidential Congress. This temporary boot, disables any power Antonio and Aldo hold in the Confederative Administration until their disputes are settled. National Caelidia Public News Service Aurora IV Launches  Today the Aurora IV rocket launched into space today as the United Caelidia Space Organization marked it's first non-experimental launch since the early 2000s. While there have been Caelidians in space, the Space Organization hasn't been too serious on establishing positions in space such as satellites for scientific research purposes. The Aurora IV rocket was made in Co-operation with Mora Ambiente Corporation, which is the leading Caelidia provider of clean eco-friendly energy. This is the first bio-fuel rocket made by the Space Organization it stands as an example for future models of rockets. The Aurora IV rocket contains the Cielo Observación telescope or simply: Cielo, meaning Heavens. Cielo has a 2.4-meter (7.9 ft) mirror, Hubble's four main instruments observe in the near ultraviolet, visible, and near infrared spectra. Cielo's orbit outside the distortion of Mundus's atmosphere allows it to take extremely high-resolution images with almost no background light. When launched, the Cielo carried five scientific instruments: the Wide Field and Planetary Camera (WF/PC), Sol High Resolution Spectrograph (SHRS), High Speed Photometer (HSP), Faint Object Camera (FOC) and the Faint Object Spectrograph (FOS). WF/PC is a high-resolution imaging device primarily intended for optical observations. It was built by the Space Organization's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and is incorporated a set of 48 filters isolating spectral lines of particular astrophysical interest. The instrument contains eight charge-coupled device (CCD) chips divided between two cameras, each using four CCDs. Each CCD has a resolution of 0.64 megapixels. The "wide field camera" (WFC) covered a large angular field at the expense of resolution, while the "planetary camera" (PC) takes images at a longer effective focal length than the WF chips, giving it a greater magnification. The Space Organization hopes that Cielo will give Caelidia and the rest of the world a wider view of the universe and while scientist know why the expansion of the universe takes, this telescope will further seek investigate this expansive mysterious. The theory orginally connects to the Big Bang Theory, with this telescope scientist will attempt to perhaps find the orgination of the Big Bang by observation through Cielo. i National Caelidia Public News Service Airforce & Army Commandante's Charged With Murder  [/b]Prime Minister, Maria Villa in an interview on her prosecution of military officials Five military officials were removed from the Soviet Thematan war campaign due to their judgment during the intense bombing of the Thematan province: Cote. One of the military officials, Avardio Baez Rodrigez, was head of the air military operations at the time of the Cote bombings and was told that he blatantly ordered the continuation of carpet bombing in the area despite reports that there was heavy civilian presense in the area. Over 4,000 Thematan civilians died in the carpet bombings and more died when Caelidian fighter pilots were ordered to continue levelling villages and town with precision strikes to eliminate "potential targets". Maria Villa, the Prime Minister of the Confederation, told public news that, "This is a gross violation of military rules and human rights that the entire Confederation hold dear. Mr.Rodrigez knew that civilians inhabited the area heavily and continued to brutally order his forces along with his other commanding officers to bomb civilians. We are not in a state of total war nor is it EVER necessary to kill civilians, Caelidia does NOT recognize the rules of total war." The head commanders of the bombings are being brought to a military court of law and will prosecuted with the blatant intentional murder of 4,000 foreign civilians. Some other military officers not directly involved in any way to the Cote Bombings, are defending Rodrigez and his fellow commandante's, saying that, "The politicians don't understand the vigors of this war and would not be able to withstand the tension and mental pressure of foot soldiers and commanders have. This was NOT intentional, it was a result of warfare in it's most gross form, a common loss as observed throughout the history a result of the brutality exhibited. While it is NOT okay to kill civilians even in an event of total war which Caelidia does indeed not follow, this inncident was not intentional by any stretch of the imagination, these charges are ridiculous." Much of the army has shown their hate for Maria Villa now, one famous response is a group of soldiers burning a Caelidian flag, their own flag, with Maria's face plastered in place of the Caelidian revolutionary seal. A small amount of army officials have however responded in respect and even many high-ranking officers praised Villa's actions against the murderous Commandante's. "I'm glad." Says Cuerpo Commandante Batista from his command tent breaking a pencil in rage over battleplans. "This is a f--king outrage. Believe me that I would court martial these, these, rogue commandante's and give them the f--king electric chair." While Batista has gotten flak for this from political and army opposition he responded, "Oh? My opinion is opposed and caused some desk workers at the Army headquarters to blow their top off? Oh i'm f--king sorry, it's like not i'm fighting a war and have bullets wizzing over my head!" The court dates are presented to take place after the war, many however see no end to the Caelidian deployment, with a clueless answers of "we don't know" coming from the military in terms of progress. National Caelidia Public News Service The Battle of Basin City & the Brutal Warsaw Tactics  A shocked Thematan man observing the remnants of his city For a week and a half now, the Battle of Basin City has been waging in the Delson valley for the Thematan city of Basin in Moonland. And so far, the battle has been named the deadliest and most ruthless front the Thematan theatre and perhaps the entire war? The battle began when Caelidian forces started to attack Warsaw forces on the outskirts of the city, the first engagements of the battle proved that this taks would not be easy for the Caelidian forces. With the initial engagement on the outskirts, over 800 Caelidian soldiers died and 500 Warsas troops along with 70 Warsaw armored vehicles. After beating the Warsaw forces scrambling into the city, Warsaw began the isolation of the city and the migration to it from other locations. Civilians, supplies amd more troops were all taken to Basin City by Warsaw, the reason for not evacuating civilians: cannon fodder. So far, over 20,000 civilians have been killed the conflict, 19,000 in which were forcefully conscripted by the ruthless Warsaw machine. These civilians were unfortunately killed by Caelidian forces, due to the civilians being forced to fire upon Caelidian soldiers. Marking large civiliated areas as targets. This led to large confusion and miscommunication in the army and upon 1,000 civilians were unintentionally killed, around 5,000 were killed for firing on Caelidian forces or throwing grenades at troops on the ground. This civilians however, were forced at gunpoint to engage Caelidian liberation forces. The majority of the civilian losses, go to Warsaw though. As forcefully organized militia's are executed for desertion, mutany and refusing to join the militia. It seems a complete lack for human decency, morals and care for human life have been expressed in this battle. "They told me: fight for your Soviet brothers, or die." says Nick Stockheir, a survivor of conscription. "They said, your family will be raped and killed by the facist pigs of Caelidia, then they pointed to the fires of Cote. This story told by Stockheir caused outrage across Caelidia and peaceful protest have erupted all over the country calling for an immediate end to the war. Even wounded soldiers returning from the front are in major protest, "I've done many things I am not proud of." says Pvt.Barís, "I am no longer a 17 year old boy who lied about his age to join the army, I am a man. An old man who has seen the unnatural horrors that mankind has produced." Pvt.Barís was widely regarded as a hero when he single handedly fought back a full on assault from a wave of conscripts and Warsaw troops, sustaining near fatal injuries. He was the sole survivor of that attack. Pvt.Barís dissapeared after this interview, days later his body was found, he committed suicide. Stories like these, are ones that have stromed an outrage across the country and politicians like Antonio Mendez are having trouble maintaining their stance, as support for Aldo H. Just yesterday, the confederative states collactivly decided in parliament to override the treaty in this case and instead push a heavy amount of trade sanctions and blockades on the region, further punishing Saint Montgues socialist-like economy. Aldo is known as conspirator, he has stated long beore that "All i've seen are statesmen get rich, the rcih get richer, the corporations get bigger and the people's voice become smaller. Lobbyist are a vain to the St.Montaguegovernment and we do not permit it, however the Confederative Administration acts like it's a central government instead of a council where all the states meet to co-operate and discuss terms, instead we've created the parliament, something that is completely against the treaty's wishes and I refuse to recognize it. The further we centralze, the closer we get to a corpratist state. WE ARE A CONFEDERATION OF sovereign Caelidian states united under a banner for the sake of prosperity for all. We did not unite to hae a centralized government, our founders wanted nothing to do with that." National Caelidia Public News Service[/color} Peaceful Anti-War Protest Turns Into Riot  The riot after the policia gained control of the streets In a peaceful protest against the war encouraged by Aldo H. JUlius in Mailidia, Antonio Mendez ordered Malidia Policia to disperse the large crowd of thousands from the Malidia capitol building where sessions were being held. Early morning, policia began the process of forcefully moving many protesters who have made camp downtown stopping up traffic. The policia did this with several calvary squads and MRAP vehicles, pushing the crowd away from their original protest location. The use of force by the police sparked up tension between the protesters and police. While violence was not the full intent of the protest, the scale of this prolonged sit in protest has attracted many different groups of different affiliations wanting to push their own agenda. Such as violent tear down the system-style anarchist and communist groups, as well as some other violent groups that are heavily against the system. The original protesters have simply pushed their agenda against the war while many socialist like Aldo Julius have butted in saying: "Caelidia is developing a massive military industrial complex that can only survive from the prolonged catastrophe of war." From the riot a total of 740 Caelidians were arrested with brutal force and many more were wounded.
