'Techland's News' (original: 'Wiadomości Techlandii') is the most popular news service in New Techland, and it's transmitted in several languages. Here is the English version. (sorry for bad English) <imagine music, animation and better logo>  Internal and no-RP news People want Polish names.  In Gównowice Małe, small town in South Techland, near the Cyfra city, there's a protest which is trying to compel government to make Polish names compulsory. On protesters' signs you can read texts like 'Our language our name!' or 'No for English names!'. There's about 1,000 protesters, much of them are nurses, doctors, firefighters etc. Their protest is very seriously problem because of that. 'We have enough foreign names in our country!' - says Barbara Wafel, protester - 'We only want to make our Polish-languaged country truly Polish-languaged! It's a drastic step, but in today's situation, government must ban naming children with foreign names!' President of New Techland, Jacob Stone, didn't comment this yet, but Stefan Woof, Minister of Internal Affairs, says: 'That's ridiculous! I agree that there's too much English names here, but banning them is horrible reduction of freedom! We are too civilized and democratic to do such things. If they want Polish names, nobody forbids them to use them. They even can go to Registry Office and change their names to Polish, if they want!' Protesters planning keep protesting as long as they can. It's possible that they will be pacified by police. News in connection with Disco Fever event 'Mad dance' spreads in Blue Border  'Mad dance', strange diesease that spreads in the Independent Order recent times, reached New Techland. Mad dance causes people are dancing all the time and they can't stop. It's dangerous for life, because they can't eat or drink, and neither sleep. Some people in villages and towns near the border with Berrean already 'joined' mad dance. One 'clever' investor organized even special, fee required concert for them. At the first time of diesease arrived in New Techland, some officials, like president Jacob Stone, stayed at home, but now it's clear that mad dance spreads very slow, so they came back to their work. 'It's very big problem for the country, and whole world too.' - says Tom Kanapka, scientist who supervises research for cure for the mad dance - 'If we don't find cure for this, even above 90% of world's population can die from thirst, hunger and overwork. It's very hard to examine this diesease, because we don't know, how it spreads and we can't approache to ill guy. It isn't normal mental diesease, because mental dieseases don't spread like this. Here is the live transmission: [president] Yesterday, in Gównowice Małe, as you may know, a protest broke out, and it's still ongoing. It's about our names. Protesters think, that there's too few names in our native language. I agree with that, but they want to Polish names be compulsory. I'm shocked, that someone can propose such things! We absolutely can't ban any names. It's parents' choice, how they child will be named, and government can't intervene into it. Although, maybe we well ban all names except 'Jacob'? <crowd laughs> Back to the problem, if protesters want more Polish names, they can name their children with Polish names, or even change their names in Registry Office. Government won't do anything with citizens' names. Thank you. <applause> [speaker] As you heard, government won't do what the protesters want. Will president's speech be enough for them? We hope yes. Internal and no-RP news Rich buisnessman killed. Perpetrator unknown. Brandon Folk, rich buisnessman and owner of small company producing wooden furniture, 'Drewno Anny', was killed last night by unknown murderer. He was in hotel 'Hotel Szklarski' in Szklarnia, because he was visiting Drewno Anny's shop in this city. He behaved normally, everything was fine, he just didn't appear in shop which he wanted to visit. Hotel personel checked his room, and he lay bloody on his bed. Police don't know, who can be murderer, because Brandon didn't have any enemies. People speculate that it was killer, but that are only speculations. |

<imagine music, animation and better logo> News in connection with Disco Fever event Total chaos in Blue Border and paralyzed transport Mad dance spreaded to whole Blue Border. To block spread of this diesease, large area around it is evacuated. In places in Blue Border, which were attacked by diesease first, people started to die from overwork. Mad dance isn't only the problem of Blue Border. Because of this diesease, transport in thw whole country is blocked. Military blocks all roads, people can't move from one place to another, they're trapped in thier localities. Only healthly officials and military (and we, Techland's News) can move around the country. 'It's neccesary.' - says Jan Wonziuła, the Minister of Internal Affairs - 'If we allow people to move around the whole country, mad dance would spread everywhere in day or two. The only exception is evacuation of area around Blue Border. It's also neccesary, because we have to be sure that no ill person will have contact with healthly person. It's neccesary also because keeping roads at the border of Blue Border closed is difficult, diesease attacks soldiers too. Our scientists are trying to find the cure, but it's very hard. We don't know, if they'll manage to do that. I hope yes, of course, but it's unknown anyway.' That are bad news, because no transport today means no economy. News in connection with Disco Fever event People protesting: 'Mad dance is a fake'  People in Cyfra city are protesting agnist transport blocking. They're saying that mad dance is fake, one big lie. They think, that ill are people only pretending and diesease is only 'collective joke'. On their signs you can read slogans like 'Let the government wiser, 'mad dance is nonsense' or 'we don't want morons in government, mad dance is a lie.' We have talked to Małgorzata Bochowicz, one of protesters. 'Government is stupid and naive!' - she says - '"Ill" people sure have a great fun of what happens in the whole country! Government have to get wiser and see it! People! Mad dance is a lie! And I love cute little dogs!' Other opinion has Tonny Toster, chief of local police. 'These people are ridiculous.' - he says - 'It's impossible to half of the world do "collective joke!" And, if they're pretending, why they're dying? Huh? It's ridiculous.' Opinion of President, all ministers and the rest of the government is identical. |

<imagine music, animation and better logo> Announce We're back after a long break. Sorry for that, but we had some technical problems. To reward this, in today's news we have three news instead of two. News in connection with Disco Fever event Mad Dance defeated in New Techland Our scientists finally found a cure for mad dance. A small microorganism called luoblufloba that lives in air around Cyfra, inserted into organism through respiratory system successfully attacks mad dance's bacteria. However, we aren't sure, if it will work in onther countries, because of diffrence in bacterial flora. Some bacterias that aren't living in New Techland, but are natural for another regions of The Independent Order can attack luoblufloba. Unfortunately, that's everything we can say about that. News in connection with Outer Space Standards Conference President refused to take part in international conference. He sent minister.  'I have a lot of work here and I don't have time for conferences.' This could be heard yesterday from out president's mouth. International conference on outer space standards in Victoria in Rokkenjima is ongoing, and president Jacob Stone stayed at country. Instead of him, to Victoria went Jan Wonziuła, minister of foreign affairs. 'I also have a lot of important issues at country, but this conference is important for international relations of New Techland and our interests. I don't understand, why our president uses such excuses to not go to conference (because they are excuses), but it does not matter now. Our country must send its delegation to this conference and it can be me.' We don't know the actual process of the conference, because traditional, our delegations are only one person, but we're sure that minister Wonziuła will treat it seriously. Internal and no-RP news Armed Republic no longer armed? Most likely yes.  Parliament decided, president accepted, referendum took place. Our country will no longer be the Armed Republic. Name change will take place today at 2.00 p.m. of +1 CET time. 'Ten years before, after fall of Great Techland, when I had office of temporary nation leader, to create new, democratic government, I called our nation 'the Armed Republic of New Techland', as you know. Now it's clearly visible that our peacefull nation has no reason to be named 'Armed'. I hope you understand that and will vote for name change in upcoming referendum.' Said president Jacob Stone in public speech to encourage citizens to vote for change in referendum. 'There's more things to change, and they propably will be changed later.' - Adds president. Results of referendum are clear - 78% of population voted for change of nation name, and only 22% of population want to keep 'armed'. |
