For those that don't know the city of Edinbrugh goes nuts every year for around a month. It has a festival for comedy, art, music and drama.....and many many other things. Me and the Nordic Boywonder are heading up for a few days and to get in the mood thought we'd start this cultural extravaganza here. Its simple. The Fringe is supposed to be a showcase and an opportunity for new talent. There is no concrete rule for what can be included, it just has to entertain. So here is what we do here. You can create your own art, it can be a sketch you've scanned, something completely computer drawn, it can be a poem, a joke, a play...anything. Or you can post YouTube clips to things you like. Just one thing, no mega famous celebrity stuff, it has to be someone relatively unknown, a hidden talent. I am though going to break that rule for the first clip. Robin Williams was a big fan of the Fringe Festival and often performed there unannounced. Just a short clip of one of his stand ups, olden....but golden. RIP Robin Williams. |

OK, to try and get this started, saw Mae Martin last year at the fringe, very funny. So thought I'd share one of her songs she does in her show. Feel free to post favourite bits of comedy, music, shows, anything entertaining but not yet globally famous. |
