After the shameful and dishonorable resignation of the former Shognute, Imagua Shimizto the Elder Council was organized in the middle of a two day recess to collaborate on the new chosen Shognute. After only a few short hours of deliberation Aang Yoshi was elected the new Shognute was full endorsement from all the Daimyo's and a surising high aproval rating in his home prefecture, Ouchi. Aang Yoshi is decendant of a poor farmer and was born in 1960 on his father's farm and was soon fter raised single handedly by his mother after Aang's father had passed. As a grown young man Aang left the farm life when his mother too passed away in search for more meaning to his life, as stated in his autobiography "The Way".
Aang soon found himself left with nothing, starving and a wanderer of the then dirt roads in Ouchi. Weak and limp, Aang found himself seeking refuge in a small village that was home to the Buke, a proud peoples who followed buke Code nd kept the Zen Bushi faith close to their hearts. As a man of no faith at the time Aang was weary of the Buke way, however he soon found himself taken by the Buke way and fell in love with the Zen Bushi faith, the national religion of Toshikawa. He left the village of Shinto now a Buke following the Zen Bushi faith and heavily studying all Buddhist faiths. His status as a well-mannered honorable Buke gained him significant merit and Aang soon entered service of the Ouchi Daimyo. Years later he became a sustaining component of keeping the Zen Bushi faith in government and the promotion of Democracy throughout the federation.
Today he is now crowned Shognute, known for his Benevolence and faith to the Buke.

Some Buke extremist who follow the old code say they will pick up arms and fight, the Shognute however says these threats aare taken lightly since old Buke followers are such a small minority.

The Buke for centuries have lived peace, following the Buke Code and Zen Bushi faith without the interruption of heavy conflict or instability. And while there have been heated political disputes in Toshikawa for the past years none have risen to the point of potential violence and talks of war. The whole dispute started when the former Shogunate continued to push through with non-isolationist policies. Embracing a newer Buke code which allowed such ventures. However, many Buke and old-fashioned Zen Bushi are heavily against these ventures into the world, scared of what the world might bring to Toshikawa. And while old followers of the Zen Bushi faith only may not approve of violence, those who are devout to the Way of the Buke think otherwise and are calling for an uprising to restore the true original word of the code which has been replaced by a newer Buke Code followed by the Zen Bushi faith.
Shogunate Troops
All this has caused high tension, "Change must be steady." says Uesntum Irdo, a well known leader of the fundamental Buke Code movement. "Not only has the true code been violated and ignored but opening our borders to such a world tht cannot begin to grasp such a sacred culture is dangerous. It will ultimately destroy us and will lead to the destruction of our own culture and embracivness of foreign culture. Which has proven so far that the only path it knows is destruction and chaos. We have lived under the Zen Bushi faith together peacefully, but I will not be afraid to pick up my sword and rally my troops if it means preventing the Shognute from undermining the Buke, which he is."
Then there is the other side, a more progressive Zen Bushi faith and Buke party that's not afraid to delve into things too quickly and seems to lack the patience of the more conservative counterparts. The progressive half, young and innovative but to the old wise Zen Bushi ways, they are foolish and destined to end the long lived legacy of the Buke. Many disagree with the conservative opinion, those like the Shognute, who's opinion matters the most. "Many of my elder Buke stand beside me." Shogun Aang Yoshi said in a public statement. "The old code is no more and was overuled long ago by the established democratic system. The Code is still honored as well as Zen bushi. It's devoutly followed everywhere, the entire nation takes at least 30 minutes to meditate every morning before their professions are carried out. Our Zen Bushi faith preaches such kindnesses as international co-operation as well and trade and good relations, it teaches that those others are of the same being, we must not isolate ourselves from our brothers because with them is prosperity and unity."
Currently, Buke Shogun troops are gathered heavily outside the government castle and it seems constant air patrols dot the skies above. The administartive offices of the Shognte however dimissed these as training exercises despite them rasing their threat level in the western half of the country. As rebel Buke forces rise and Shogun forces rally, some question if the era of peace is over in Toshikawa and the age of wr is upon the land as it was written many times before in the land's history. Can this generation break the tradition of Buke war and political tension?
The former Shognute was named dishonorable by the Buke after he ordered the burning of the ancient Gutmal temples of Zen Bushi to eradicate offcials who protested against him. Despite allegations from the former Shognute many still blame him widely for the destruction of the wonder and the Buke law set out to arrest and put him to death by seppuku.However, when officials finally located him the former Shognute had already commited the seppuku even though he was Buke. investogation of the scene of the supposed seppuku is still underway however as many investigating officials have stated that, "This doesn't look like a typical seppuku, there are heavy indictions of struggle and force used, it seems someone did this forcfully to him. the blade also found wasn't trditional Toshikawan, looks nothing of the Buke."

Sengoku and Ouchi Daimyos Rebel Against the Shogunate!
The rebellious old code buke have remained reserved and thus far have not taken any hostile actions towards the Shogun despite their threats. However, just a few hours ago, the Daimyo's who rule over the prefectures of Sengoku and Ouchi have risen up and declared themselves seperate from thr state. "We are tired of the withdrawal of power from the Daimyo's and the old Buke code has gone abused long enough." says Taka Feri, the first woman Daimyo and Daimyo of Sengoku. Sengoku is a heavily populated Buke conservative region, which makes sense why these actions were taken.
And while the local conservative Buke community denies any involvement, Shogun officials announced their heavy investigation in their involvment. Ouchi, is rebelling for different reasons however, they wish to restore the hereditary bloodline that continues in the Shogun instead of the Elder Council choosing one based off of their preferences. They also want to fully restore authoritarian Buke power by dissolving the established democratic system. The local community still denies any involvement.
So far the rebellion isn't violent and officials say they intend to keep it this way, Sengoku and Ouchi say they wan to accomplish their goals through reform and support of the people and hope to convince the Shogunate of the legitimacy of their proposals.
The Budi zen to Tour the World
The Budi zen, who is the spiritual leader of the Zen Bushi faith, will be touring the world partaking in various Buddhist conventions and will be giving speeches all around the world. This will be the first time years that the Budi has traveled outside of Toshikawa to tech the Zen Bushi faith.

Federation Shogun troops mobilizing to face off against rebels
The Shogunate's ministry of defense later released a public statement on sengoku's and Oushi's secession from the federation saying "War is o the horizon and the Shogun is taking all necessary precautions to prepare for the inevitable." However it seems the Shogun is less than ready as they're caught off guard when 108,329 ground troops revolted against the Shogun's orders and sided with the rebelling prefectures of Ouchi and Sengoku. And while the Shogun outnumbers the rebels only 3 to 2, officials are frightened that this war will produce heavy losses, making a full conventional civil war.
Right now the two sides are at a stalemate, the majority of Toshikawan's side with the Shogun but the olden Buke rebels are numerous. Along with the rebelling Buke who are on the verge of revolting violently there are support of the two prefectures, who are now telling the federation that they have conscripted nearly every male citizen. Both prefectures have activated the warrior Buke Code, calling every Toshikawan within the Daimyo Prefectures to fight.
It's now a waiting game, to see who fires the first shot, but the Shogun Aang Yoshima says there's still hope for sustainable peace. The Shogun's administration released along with the ministry of defense that they've been working heavily with the revolting Daimyo's to come to peaceful diplomatic terms, "We have proposed regional autonomy but it was rudely denied, they want the Shogun." says the administration.
Borelanders Supporting Local Buke Rebels
The terrorist organization from Moreland bent on taking over Moreland an perhaps the world who call themselves the Borelanders have now crossed into Toshikawan borders. Intelligence reports say that the Borelanders have been giving significant logistical and financial support to the rebels and the revolting Prefectures. The Shogun in a press conference said that, "This is a disgrace of the isolationist Buke to take part in the vary principle they're against.
"These terrorist who have crossed into our borders and ports will pay and will answer to the full content of the Buke law. I all upon seppuku for these terrorist and these revolting Diamyo's!" Gasp were heard throughout the press conference when the Shogun called upon the invading Borelanders to commit seppuku, and while he doubts they'll do it willingly the Shogun stated. "We will capture them and hold them to Toshikawan law, then they'll learn to not cross ito our borders again. Our power and determination must be asserted!"

After various convoys were ambushed yesterday in Akaru, resulting in over 130 casualties, a total of 18 Toshikawan soldiers,10 Transvaal soldiers and 1 Moreland legionare were taken prisoner for later seppuku ritual. What was unexpected was that entire event was televised for all those within Sengoku to see, then shortly after the video was released to Toshikawan media who later reported on it. The video shows all the allied on their knees with gun barrels against their heads.
One by one, they're told to commit seppuku, the Toshikawan native soldiers went first and the majority did it willingly while the remaining were forced or decapitated. Then, the camera panned over to Transvaal soldiers who all refused to commit to the ritual as it was not native to their land. Some tried to revolt but were quickly put down, one soldier attempted, one brutally beaten. But he broke down and it was done for him. Then the Moreland soldier was pulled up and simply executed by gun.
While Toshikawa has hardly even blinked at this event, the Shogunate worries about the reactions of Toshikawa's allies, "It's not a tradition of theirs. So I worry for the reaction of many of our neighbors and what we will do. I fear to say: that's the way we do things here."
The New age of Enlightenment
The Shogunate is pushing for new democratic reforms without the help of the Elder Council and seeks out to bypass their authority in order to get what needs to get done, done. Many however worry that Aang Yoshimo will abuse his newfound power at the betrayal of the Elder Coucnil. "No longer will officials gain their rank through merit but through the people's approval and by their policy. The Shogun will no longer act as a supreme ruler but a political leader and militaristic leader the position is suppose to be."
The Elder Council is no longer under the service of the Shogun, as at the begining of the Civil War they sided and left the Shgounate, calling Aang Toshimo a disgrace. Aang ha decided to carry on as his duties as Shogun, however his powers have been restored to alost olden feudal levels. As of now, he is the supreme dictator of the land, ruling with benevolence and in a race to establish a sustainable democrcy before is reign is over at his passing.
Today, the Shogun signed an edict allowing lower and middle class Tosikawans to participate in the economy through ways of unions and worker corporations, "For thousands of years only the daimyo's and uppe class royals have been able to form large business and own land. This edict will give othrs the chance. No longer will land be a birth right, but if your a poor peasant born to a street vendor then you can one day rise up and become a large rich business owner yourself. However, there needs to be some control, our market won't be 'free' and I will begin adopting socialist restrictions in order to keep the corporate power at level, I want to prevent corporations from rising as a feudal-like power in Toshikawa. Even in a land of principle, corruption exist."
Along wth the edicts, the Shogun pushed to convert the Daimyo's into a Govener role and while they act as govenors now they Shogunate says he wants to release Daimo control of the economy and give it to the workers. Some say Aang Yoshimo is goin to far and calling it outright communist and impractical. many scholars thoguh, specifically Dr. Idishma from Yoki Jima university, think the Shogun's communist direction aligns well with the Zen Bushi and Buddhist faiths, "Aang Yoshimo is a man of principle as most Toshikawans are. When you look at the text of Zen Bushi and what it encourages among our society, it encoruges a communist-like if not upotian-like society. Nearly impossible but that's what our text say. Most Zen bushi like the budi Zen would agree, most Toshikawan attitudes align with a leftist liberal socialist vie anywy. So you can exect little resistance from the people."
Traditional Buke ceremonies are being held for soldiers who've died in recent fighting.
The Shogun is ordering more and more troops to the Ouchi border for defense, many say he will enact the Code and many men will join in on conscription.

Attempt on the Shogun's Life & Prime Minister Ido Kaga Assassinated
The Prime Minister Ido Kaga was declared dead from unnatural causes of poison committe by rebel Buke assassins who once again attempted to assassinate the Shogun. Ido Kaga suffered from a high intake of deadly toxins from local wildflowers as did Aang Yoshimo. The Shogun survived, making a desperate dash for help upon Ido's death and running into his assassinaters during seeking help. Aang quickly dispose of the men and laid with his sword, likely accepting his fate.
When Aang Yoshimo was found, he was suffering from major gun-shot wounds and the toxins sent him into a coma, medical officials say that emergency surgery was successful in removing the bullets from the Shogun's body but couldn't help the poisons that he had in Sake from sending him into a coma. Many fear for he Shogun's current state, observing health experts not only worry for Aang's physical health, but mental health.
Ido Kaga is mourned all over the nation and is remembered as a prime example of loyalty and the code's honor, "He was a grand man" says Yoshi Nekahga, the former deputy Prime Minister. "I will always remember him as a honorable man he kept loyal and stayed swift under the pressure. He perfected his arts and was a master of the arts. He was my friend, and I will honor his legacy as performing my duty as new Prime Minister to full content."
Toshikawan Marines Break Through and Liberate Gowu
One of the largest business and trade centers in the northern hemisphere, the city of Gowu was disrupted in it's frugal practices when the civil war broke out, sending the Toshikawan economy into disarray and halt. Since the war, capturing the city has been the main objective of the shogunate's troops. The liberation of Gowu began with the intensive precision bombing of various Sengokuan targets then the navy joined in and began bombardments from sea, which were coordinated by the stranded defending garrisons until contact was suddenly lost.
At this moment, friendly forces from South Hills aided the sea bombardment and Toshikawan marines landed, taking heavy fire but not suffering a single casualty. By the second day, the marines had completely wiped out enemy forces in the city and the victory was achieved. The marines are the most elite military unit in the Toshikawan military and special forces sect, they proved it that day in an ultimate victory against conventional forces.

The Shogun once again made history in Toshikawa when he ended his small period of dictatorship and unveiled his future plans to slowly convert to a fully democratic country, while tending to the current foundation set in place already. He has done this by currently unarming and degrading all the Daimyo;s, he took away their power as nobles of the lands and instead placed a select few politicians and councils as Governors of the newly formed Prefectures.
The Daimyo's still hold their lands and are allowed to have workers under them, but are no longer above the law and must answer to the new Federal government instead of controlling it. Because of this, the Daimyo Representative council in the legislature has been completely disbanded and so has the Elder Council and it's elder's, who a scheduled for seppuku execution for betrayal of the Buke code and state.
It is unsure now what the legislature will be, "Currently we're building it up and drawing out concepts, looking a what other established democracies in the world have." Shogun Aang Yoshimo said to news reporter Shimi Kaewod. "For sure the prefectures will govern themselves through democratic processes with the people, I believe that direct democracy is a viable practice when done on a smaller scale opposed to a country. Having direct democracy take place within each individual prefecture independently could perhaps prove successful. However in these times of economic uprising and new found political stability we must not take fast drastic changes as it could perhaps halt our progress."
Aang Yoshimo also touched on economics when asked, "Toshikawa's economy is growing the further Toshikawan business expands and the more foreign investors invest in Toshikawa. It's an uprising of our economy and I believe we are becoming a prevalent competitor among the world market. We are trading more, expanding fast and reverting back to the Toshikawan expansionist ways. However we must contain this power and keep corporate influence out of the governments own affairs. Special interest groups as well, the government is here the govern the land and represent it's people's, not the agenda of a business man."
Meanwhile, the new Prime Minister Yoshi Nekahga has made strife's to expand the military saying, "We need to re-establish our roots, which is the warrior way of life. It's the way we've always lived but i think the civil war proved that we've become ill in our practice and lazy. We must refit our military." With that statement, Toshikawa has reached out to several areas of the world seeking new naval ships and aircraft for the Skyforce.
So far, the Toshikawan Navy and Skyforce will receive major overhauls technologically and the army will be boast larger numbers and new infantry equipment.
Borlanders Found in Southern Yuki Mountains
The Borlanders who aided the Buke rebels have since been driven out of their originating areas and have begun reseeding south back towards East moreland alps. The Anti-Borland Buke Toshikawan special task group entered the area to patrol it, looking for any signs of Borlanders and Borlanders themselves. During patrols several Borland insurgents were found and surrendered themselves to Buke troops.
Later into the days of patrolling the Yuki mountains contact was made with several small cells of Borland insurgents who had set up small strongholds in strategic positions. With air superiority the buke troops easily took over many strongholds and captured a total of 13 Borlanders in the process with the help of East Moreland military advisers. After that day in the night, regular troops were moved into to forward operation post in the area to watch over the valley.
After midnight a convoy of civilian vehicles crossing the Toshikawan border, suspected from East Moreland. Special forces stopped the patrol but ws met with resistance as the convoy quickly sped past any checkpoints. Their mad dash however was quickly ended with a coordinated airstrike from EM aircraft. It was later discovered that these were in fact Borlanders trying to cross into Toshikawa and aid the Borlanders already stationed in Toshikawa.

In past years, he has won seven tournaments but since has not competed in five years. security will be high at the tournamne tin his presence, and because of the tournament being international this year, it has been bumped to a large football stadium.
Opening ceremony will be held on the 10th, then the tournament will begin.
Sesuma Whaling fleets have begun fishing in Ardian waters now and is dominating the fishing market with their wide array of whale catch An anti-whaling organization known as 'Sea Guardian' has openly expressed their disdain towards Toshikawan whaling practices. Buke rebel leaders were executed today by self-inflicted seppuku, the shogunate says, "No matter what they do, they will never restore their honor." With Toshikawan companies expandin into the world market, money floods into Toshikawan pockets. The Shogun speaks of introducing a small welfare system to assist and guide those in poverty, he says the new system will help them climb out of poverty with support but as well as guides. Ministry of Transportation released a statement saying that they to Dartfordian traisnmanship to construct a line of new high seed trains to boost economic development in Toshikawa.

The Government is forever being changed by Aang Yoshimo, the Shogun, in efforts to create what he explains as "a flawless" democratic system. When he talked to Toshikawan update news however he said, "It's impossible to be perfect and free of flaw. Flaw is what makes things perfect." The new Government would consist of the Prime Minister at the head of Government and the Shogunate at the Head of State, however the Shogunate's power has been greatly reduced. For example, by new law the Shogunate cannot pass any edicts or reforms without the approval of the new legislature known as the National Council Sect. The NCS is one large council, with twenty-five representatives from each Prefecture, which each is ruled by Governors, some Daimyo's have went into politics but have thus far been rejected by the Shogunate.
The Shogun has made efforts to keep business out of government by heavily restricting Daimyo power, "The Daimyo's are the main cause of why business and the upkeep of feudal lands has been so influenced by the government. In recent years we've started to have a influx of lobbyist wh have regrettably formed the government e formally knew." Aang says. "Stricter regulations will be held of course, there must be a balance of power. That's why a semi-free market must be maintained."
Corporate business owner and frugal Damyni Joto says, "The Shogun's extremist communist-like approach to solve Toshikawan democracy will only result in the decline of the Toshikawan economy. I don't care what I just said breaks the code, my money allows you to follow it." Joto said in an outrage when he received notice of corporate regulations. outside the Federal government are the Prefectures who act almost individually. Before the prefectures were centralized, now the Shogun has given prefectures the power to run themselves without constant attention from the federal government.
"In the end.' Aang says. "This will improve government functionality as a whole and provide a larger voice for the people without a centralized federal government." Direct democracy within certain areas are also being sought out, in prefectures, direct democracy would be held out by the Governor's and their council at every major law in the Prefecture. The Shogunate is also pushing for a new reform that would allow the people to oppose new edicts and laws, take them down and hold a national vote for them. He also creating a system for Toshikawan's to propose new edicts.

Yesterday during an operation in the Yuki Mountains against Borland insurgent's and Buke rebels, 23 special forces federation troops were killed in an operation gone wrong.

The Elite Shogunate Buke Troops(ESB) and Anti-Borlander Task Force of Toshikawa(ABT) were running a joint operation in the mountains to disrupt Borlander operations within small villages in the mountains, with the aid or advisory's from East Moreland the operation was successful for the first few days in. That was until what the Toshikawan Update was told that one team operating in the area was compromised by pro-rebel civilians and ambushed heavily by insurgent forces. The six man team fended off rebel forces for a total of two hours.
We asked military officials why the team was not extracted from the area, a statement released by the Ministry of Defence explains why: "The team was having trouble getting radio contact in the current sector they were operating in. We had constant contact until it cut off during a certain point, we also kept radio contact at a minimum to keep rebel forces from listening in our radio chatter, as they have the ability to do this as us. When crossing into operational areas, our men were entering secluded closed off communities who have barely seen modernization and low contact with the outside world. Contact and knowledge of the area is unknown, we are still learning about it today."
The six man team didn't make it out in time when contact was made to designate an extraction point, over fifty rebels overwhelmed the location and several outpost were reached by the next day, coming under full scale assault at night. With radio contact lost in many parts of the dense jungles, other teams were stuck in the area over night and went through tense fighting throughout the night. By the time all teams were accounted for the next day, three teams had been lost and outpost had taken heavy fire resulting in 23 confirmed KIA's. The Whaling industry won't officially die off, at least not in Toshikawa, and while Toshikawan whaling was starting to make a breakthrough on the world's economy it quickly faded away with the whaling incident involving the eco-terrorist organization of Sea Guardian. Whaling is still not an industry being faded out in Toshikawa, at home it is still demanded as a native food that retains it's roots in Toshikawan culture. While it remains relevant in Toshikawa, the National Council has passed a bill the restricts the amount of whaling to what is in demand.
Before, whaling industries would over-whale beyond their demand, making waste to the majority of their catch. Now, they are forced and checked to whale strictly to their demand. The shogunate paved way for these reforms in hopes of regulating an out of control industry protected for the sake of culture.

A man by the name of Sora arrived at the steps of the Shogunate palace this morning, greeted by security and immediately arrested on the premise. Takeru(last name) showed up nearly everyday, soon only escorted off the premise but kept a close eye on by the Buke Guard. Finally after getting the Shogunate's attention he no choice but to confront this mystery boy who ask for him nearly everyday at the palace steps. What the Shogunate found out mde him nearly faint observers say and the boy was welcomed into the castle. There the boy Sora relieved his past and his journey finding out who his father was, from the scare on the Prince of Toshikawa's face, it didn't seem too great.
Buke Prince Sora grew up a normal life, a bustling city life faced with city problems, unlike his father, the Shogunate who spent his childhood on a farm. Ate age 8 his neighborhood caught on fire and spread rapidly through many of the paper homes, an explosion from his house, now known to be the kitchen, burned the upper left side of his face, leaving him scared. From losing their house and a small period of economic recession the young boy Sora was homeless with his known family and over the years, seperated from them.
Years later, he found that his mother had passed and the place of his step-siblings were unknown, he sought refuge in a Buddhist temple and briefly learned of the basic principles of the ideology, fully converting the Buddhism and naming himself a lay Buddhist upon leaving the temples. From there he found a Master Buke who he traveled with, the Buke, showed Sora his ancestry and flushed him out into the world to track his father down. Along the way he studied at various Buke schools, constant;y practicing the ideal.
Now, at 19 years old, Sora has found his home and his crowned by Buke law: The Prince of Toshikawa
When Aang Yoshimo was asked if he knew had a son he responded with, "Yes, it was years ago under personal circumstances in which I made a choice to save my love and own son. I knew he would one day find home, and continue the Yoshimo legacy"
The government has declared that it officially condemns the Kingdom of Borland and released a public statement saying: "We do not recognize Borland as a Kingdom but a terrorist group worthy to be destroyed."

This news comes after the ceremony remembering the fall of 23 soldiers in their mission to drive Borland soldiers out of the Yuki Mountains and exterminate rebel Buke's. The fighting in the mountains has reached an all time high, "We will exterminate them." says Minister of defence, "First, we have to rid the disease in our own backyard, then we will take the fight to them. Their small rock they call a kingdom will be no more." The Shogunate also released a public statement saying, "Full offensive military operations are now in effect in the mountains, no more will we play defence while the Borlanders squat and coward on our backside. They're dangerous and must be dealt with to the full extent they've should have been dealt with a long time ago."
Military forces have now already begun full military operations, extending into days a heavy fighting for ground forces backed by air support.
