Respected Senators, Presently before the World Assembly is a measure to condemn the region of North Korea, put forth by the Libertatem nation Minerva. This proposal has been a topic of great discussion in the Security Council forums, and as this Condemnation would certainly fall under the "potential political implications" of the World Assembly Procedures Act (2014) I would like to implore the Speaker to call for a vote concerning this Condemnation. Many (if not all) of the points Minerva has highlighted as a reason for condemning North Korea can very easily be applied to Libertatem as well. Libertatem and their allies have conducted countless tag raids and refound operations against regions they consider communist, socialist or otherwise worthy of destruction. Other regions held by Libertatem include those which could be used by communities (such as Havana, held under the guise of 'protection', which is included in the list below), having become part of 'a large empire spanning almost a thousand regions indirectly connected to it, blocking others from using those region’s name merely in the name of “anti-communism”' (to use the wording of this Condemnation). A short sampling of these include: The Red Union Unita Angola (a joint operation which they participated in) League of Great Communism Anarcho Syndicalism The Korean Coalition New Communist Region The Socialist World Republic The United Soviet Socialist Republic Caracas The Cooperative Union (former home of The League of Reformed Socialist States) These activities match similar operations conducted by regions such as the Greater German Reich, the Fascist Union and other fascist and National Socialist regions which are, as always, engaged in a war with communist, socialist and anti-fascist regions. I would like to make it perfectly clear that I do not wish to involve the Independent Order in the fascist/Libertatem vs antifascist battle, and that is not the intent of this request or explanation of the hypocrisy of the situation. I simply believe it is in utterly bad form for someone to use the World Assembly as a weapon against another person or region for conducting the very same type of operations that they, themselves engage in on a regular basis. Two days and twelve hours remain before the close of voting for this Resolution. I encourage the Speaker to hold a vote concerning the Condemnation, and the Senate to weigh the information as they discuss, and cast their votes. Thank you. |

Fully agree with the Grand Chancellor. While not a big fan of the whole raider and defender aspect of the game I think this is a bit two faced

Likewise I completely agree with Beatrice and Dave on this. Raiding and Defending is a part of this game I don't go anywhere near, that said I wish people would sometimes employ common sense- glass houses and all that.

I also agree with you three. Having been involved in Antifa and Co. when I first started NS, I naturally still harbour a slight dislike of fascist/anti-communist regions, though I will not let this influence me at this present moment in time. Anyway, the proposed resolution sounds unbearably hypocritical and we should vehemently oppose it.
