Famous Tenerian tech opera singer, Celestina Peacebeck, has agreed to go on tour in Dartfordia for three weeks.

She will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall in Hematite for the first week. This will be followed by a week at the Churchill Opera House in Churchill, Littlebrook. If things go well, a third venue will be chosen and plans to tour other countries will be made. If things go badly, she will return to Tenerland early.

This will be the singer's first ever tour of Dartfordia.

As the situation in Meche escalates, citizens of Tenerland become increasingly worried about Tenerland's close proximity to the USR. Some citizens are calling for the government to take action and send troops to stop the USR before they decide to expand southward while others want the sanctions on the USR to be dropped to get on their good side.

Benjamin Tener had this to say:
"The Tenerian government will not be sending troops to Meche or the USR. Tenerland will remain neutral in this situation. Relations with the USR are perfectly stable. We are in no danger of invasion. Even so, we will make sure to secure our borders."

Restrictions have been placed on travel to Meche to avoid being cought in the fighting and the sanctions placed on the USR continue to remain in place.

Following communications with the leader of Banaria, Benjamin Tener traveled to Banaria to commence diplomatic talks. Accompanied by several other government officials, Tener will be staying with a previously deployed diplomatic party that went to take part in talks about a Tenerian embassy in Banaria.

Before leaving, Benjamin Tener said this to the press:
"I think there's a lot of potential in this relationship. Tenerland and Banaria could be very good friends and allies."

Following major research and development after exploring a deep ocean trench south of the shores of Tenerland, the streetlights of Tenerland have been completely revamped. Replacing the old solar-powered street lights with new lights that use tubes of bioluminescent algae that use carbon dioxide to produce light and oxygen. These lights not only use up no power, like the solar-powered streetlights, but produce an oxygen surplus by using a solar panel to power a motor that rotate the algae. This allows the oxygen to be released.

Biolum, the company that created these lights, has had smaller lights available for some time now. Some people ask why the government didn't replace all the old lights sooner. Arthur Griphook, the Treasurer of Tenerland, had this to say:

"We've slowly been replacing the lights for a while now, but, let's face it. Tenerland has a lot of streetlights. We couldn't go and replace them all at once, it would have cost too much at once. I'm actually very pleased with the rate we went. We finally replaced the last streetlight and managed to do it without breaking the bank."

The old streetlights are planned to be recycled.

Controversy rocks Tenerland as the whaling of the Blue Narwhal continues in Tenerian waters.

"I thought the government was against catching and eating wild animals!" Yells citizen Penelope Clearwater. "Why are we making fish farms like Pisce Sea Farms if we just keep catching sea animals? The narwhal is Tenerland's national animal! We can't eat them!"

"It's not about that. The blue narwhal's population is just out of control and needs to be regulated through catching them." Says Tenerland's Overseer of Environmental Regulation. "If we don't control their population, it will harm other species, such as the kynewater shrimp, the blue narwhal's meal of choice. Fish farms produce enough seafood that we don't overfish our waters, but they are not large enough to raise narwhals."

"Yeah, and don't forget that Tenerland's national animal goes great with Tenerland's national fruit." The owner of the local market says.

Tenerland's national fruit is the lemon.

After an interview with the secretary of peacekeeping, Ares Javelin, some Tenerians are wondering if Tenerland should have a larger military and a more expansionist attitude rather than the small defensive military and isolationist attitude it currently has.

"Why should we be cooped up in such a small area when we're obviously superior in technology and culture?" Asks Tenerian supremacist, Marvin Guant.

"War is never acceptable, for any reason. Especially expansionist greed and arrogance! Tenerland is perfectly fine the size it is." Remarks local pacifist, Lily Evans.

The Mnemosyne Academy of the Arts was temporarily closed today when a student released a flock of pidgeons that had been fed laxative-soaked breadcrumbs in the Thalia wing. The student was suspended until further notice and the mess is still being cleaned up.

"That was the best prank I've ever seen in my life. I had to get a new backpack and throw out my hoodie because they were so caked in the stuff, but damn that was good." Says student at Mnemosyne Academy, Luke Castellan.

It's a slow news day in Tenerland. There's nothing particularly interesting to report.

"Yeah, I'm bored. I wish something exciting would happen." Says local anchorman, Daniel Spectre.

"I don't know, my art class was pretty exciting today. We painted abstract pieces. Mine was pretty good." Says art student, Rian Banksy.

There you have it folks. Nothing interesting happened today.

After the execution of five Rokkenjimans for terrorism in Transvaal, and the reactions of multiple other nations, some citizens are asking whether Tenerland was wrong to stay uninvolved in the incident. Other are saying Tenerland was right to stay out, especially after Transvaal's responses to each nation involved.

"If we'd been against them, they would have insulted us and called us Rokkenjima's puppet. If we had sided with them, they would have treated us no better than the USR. Getting involved was a lose-lose situation. Staying neutral was the best course, and I'm glad we did." Responded Maevis Azulon, Tenerland's secretary of foreign affairs.

The people of Tenerland still wonder if action should be taken. Sanctions on Transvaal have been declined as it is not an illegal act of war to execute alleged criminals, even if they are foreigners. Diplomtic approaches have also not happened so far, but traveling Tenerians are being advised by non-government officials to avoid visiting Transvaal.

A new artifact was discovered today by Tenerian divers. The Golden Olive Branch was found on the wreck of the ship the RMS Cape Horn. The shipwreck was in internation waters.

A dispute for possession of the treasure has sprung up due to the fact that the RMS Cape Horn was a Dartfordian ship and was in international waters.

"The Golden Olive Branch is rightfully Dartfordia's! It was on a Dartfordian ship and was far from Tenerian waters. The artifact must be sent to Dartfordia at once!" Says Dartfordian historian, Professor Ian Wright.

"Definitely not." Replies the curator of The Atlas City History Museum, Daniel Binns. "The Golden Olive Branch was discovered by Tenerian divers just a few miles out of Tenerian waters. Much closer to Tenerland than Dartfordia. Just because you lost something a long, long time ago, in an ocean far, far away, doesn't mean it has to be returned to you. It's a priceless treasure, and we won't just hand it over for no good reason."

Neal Petit, Dartfordian representative of the CETO is calling for Tenerland to give up the artifact to Dartfordia, following CETO traditions and rules. However, Tenerland is not a member country of the CETO and is not held to these rules.

The Golden Olive Branch is being held in The Atlas City History Museum until further notice, but has not been put on display yet.

The dispute over the rightful owner of the Golden Olive Branch continues today as they remain in the storage room of the Atlas City History Museum.

"The artifact is and will remain rightful property of Tenerland. Tenerian intel discovered, located, and retrieved the branch, and should therefore be able to keep it as a historic artifact. As the Dartfordian ship was lost for a long time and the artifact was found far from Dartfordian waters, it can no longer rightfully claim the branch for itself" says Banarian Secretary of Defense George Thomas.

"Indeed, Tenerians payed to retrieve this priceless relic and Tenerians should keep the reward." Says noted historian and businessman, Maranda Malkin.

Due to the dispute over the Golden Olive Branch, Celestina Peacebeck, who is currently on tour in Dartfordia, has decided to return to Tenerland after her second week despite her popularity among the opera crowd and techno music lovers alike.

"It just feels like we don't belong here anymore. The dispute has caused too much tension for us here. My manager and crew just don't feel safe here anymore. However, we will remain until the second week is over. We promised at least two weeks, if not a third, and we're keeping that promise." Celestina comments after a performance.

The dispute is expected to be brought up to the CETO to help resolve the issue. A reasonable agreement is thought to be worked out between Tenerland and Dartfordia before long.

A practical joke on a gondola went wrong today as one young prankster pretended to be a zombie while the gondola was moving, frightening the people inside and nearly causing it to fall as everyone rushed to on side of the compartment.

"I guess I didn't think that through well enough. I'm just glad nobody got hurt." Prankster, Mitch Sorrenstein responds after being punched in the face by one of the other passengers. "Does anyone have an ice pack or something I can put on my eye? It really hurts."

In other news, a representative from the CETO is to arrive in Tenerland soon to discuss the dispute over the Golden Olive Branch and help a reasonable agreement be settled upon.

Today, five government officials were taken into custody and await trial for embezzling government funds.

"This is unbelievable!" The treasurer of Tenerland, Arthur Griphook, shouts angrily. "Those funds come from the hard-working citizens of Tenerland. To use the funds for anything other than helping those citizens is just unthinkable. They did no better than stealing directly from their neighbor's pockets."

The trial is to take place in the Justice Scales Courthouse on the 20th of November. Until then, the five arrested government officials are under supervised house arrest.

This included the copyrights to all of her books and her home in Olympus Hills. Melody and her family have effectively inherited a fortune and an income.

"I really don't know what to say. I'm so surprised that she left me so much." Melody commented after finding out.

The remainder of Matilda Sackshot's estate, including her collection of historic objects was left to the Centrum Museum of History in her home region of Tenerland. She also left 500 copies of Tenerland: A History to her childhood schools.

"I'm so glad we can help the environment and get rid of that old, worn out ship at the same time. It was just in such poor condition and the animals can use it more than we could." Comments marine biologist, Alex Jinbe.

Following the discovery of a large temple in the mountains of the Montem region yesterday, many artifacts were taken back to the Montem Archaeology Center and studied. It is believed the people that created the temple were of the Tentec Tribe. Others have different opinions.

"It was aliens!" Rants local UFO hunter and conspiracy theorist, Zachery Nomorph. "Aliens definitely made that structure! Look at the detail. How could ancient humans have made that without advanced tool from aliens?"

Several artifacts are being prepared to move to a museum.

Covicted murderer, Jack Ripper, is sueing the detective that caught him for breaking and entering, assault and ruining his reputation.

According to Mr. Ripper, the detective (who prefers to stay anonymous) broke into his home, tackled him to the ground, and handcuffed him with unecessary force.

"Actually, I had a warrant. I didn't break and enter. I did tackle him, but that's because he started pulling out a gun when he saw me. I handcuffed him with just enough force. I'm sorry if he thinks I ruined his reputation, but I can't help if news of his misdeeds spread after I caught him." The anonymous cop stated.
