King Haivir Announces an “End to Isolationism” In just the past few days, our King Haivir has announced an end to the isolationist policies which have dominated our country’s foreign policy since attaining independence from the Rus Empire. He and Foreign Affairs Minister Rallens have reached out to the international community, seeking to forge beneficial friendships with other states in an “Amity Conference.”
The King has high hopes for the conference, stating that so far the invitation has received positive responses from major world powers such as Rokkenjima, Dartfordia, and East Moreland and fellow Albion countries the United Amcin Emirates and the Dijel. Minister Rallens has commented he believes “there is a good chance to find solid partners to assist in Odmony’s modernization,” and the he hopes “to discuss mutual geographic concerns with the UAE and the Dijel.” Other potential items the King and Rallens may wish to discuss with foreign delegates and leaders include the recent terrorist attacks by the Sorority of Materna and Odmony’s criminal cartels. According to Defense and Justice Minister Hadlen, “in just the past day we've had five suicide bombings in our cities credited to this Sorority of Materna. Given the long history of gender inequality under the former regime’s rule and the presence of remote or rural areas in which we have weak control, we are concerned about the possibility of this organization taking root in Odmony. With the cartels, we already have enough to deal with.” The cartels are a major problem for Odmony, having emerged during the Revolution and riding to ascendance on the drug trade. Within the last decade as a result of these criminals' efforts, Odmony has unfortunately become one of the world’s leading exporters of a number of commonly illicit substances, particularly hashish and heroin. “These thugs coerce or bribe rural farmers to grow their illegal source crop, process it into drugs and then smuggle it abroad,” Hadlen told our reporters. “In fighting over this drug trade, they bring violence to our communities and corrupt our local political processes into working for them.” The Amity conference will not be just about politics though. As the King has said, “I plan to mix business with pleasure. We’ll have a feast first, traditional cuisine drawn from Odmony’s rich cultural heritage along with some informal socialization, so that we can all unwind and get know each other before the real business begins.” |

Terrorist Attacks Rock Odmony In recent days, Odmony has been rocked by a series of terrorist attacks, mostly car and suicide bombings, occurring in the cities of Chulettar, Cumoken, Festamar, Kettenak, and Pellemar. Responsibility for these attacks has been claimed by the extremist female supremacist group the “Sorority of Materna.” A copy of their claim of responsibility has been repeated below.
This organization has both government and religious officials in an uproar. King Haivir has decried the group as “violent extremists and enemies of gender equity, on a misguided quest to rectify the wrongful oppression of women through the wrongful oppression of men.” Sahil Hamged, a leading conservative Āzarati cleric in Hangelia, has stated the attacks are “a symptom of lacking faith and virtue among the world’s women,” and is calling for the implementation of “stricter laws founded in traditional values here and abroad to lead women on a path away from such self-destructive violence.” Hangel Family Murdered “Firing Squad Style” in Chulettar Chulettar has long had the unfortunate distinction of being a center of criminal violence, but a new series of murders has gained notoriety above and beyond the norm, as a middle class Hangel family has been founded murdered outside their home in a manner reminiscent of an execution by firing squad. The deceased, Halid Abugam, his wife Ladila, and three children Nimal, Daniba, and Dand, have been described by friends of the family as devoted and upstanding members of the community. The Abugams made their livings in owning and operating a local bicycle store. At this point, investigators report that their murders “were very likely motivated by ethnic bigotry, a remaining resentment towards Hangels left over from the brutality of the former regime.” In support of this theory, the investigators supplied the manner of their murders as supporting evidence. “Death by firing squad was the favored means of execution by both the colonial Rus government and the succeeding Hangel regime. To kill this Hangel family by the same method… It’s a twisted way to make a statement of hate and revenge.” While the perpetrators have yet to be apprehended, the search for the murderers by law enforcement is ongoing. Waitie Fori Declared Protected Site Waitie Fori, or White Sands in English, has been declared by King Haivir and the Halls of Law as a Natural Reserve as well as Odmonian Cultural Site in recognition of the site’s unique ecology and significance to the Dainadrist faith.  A view of the dunes and an interdunal area, with Dainadrist pilgrims in the distance and their tracks in the foreground Waitie Fori is the largest gypsum dune field in Mundus, spanning about 650 square kilometers of northern Chelt. The plants and animals which live in Waitie Fori have developed a range of adaptations to survive in this shifting white desert. Some of the flora grow quickly upward to outpace the rise of an oncoming dune, others breed fast in the flat spaces between dunes to pass on their genes before being submerged in the selenite sand, and still more solidify the gypsum into tall pillars to stand above the impermanent landscape. Waitie Fori’s fauna, mostly nocturnal, have almost all adapted to gain a white coloration to match the sands. The region even has a strain of colonial cyanobacteria not found anywhere else, living in interdunal surface sands, forming a hard crust in that soil. Beyond its ecological significance, Waitie Fori is a sacred place to Dainadrists, who view the dune field and the seasonal lake at its center, Wait Suu, as having a holy purity as well as a nearness to their deity, Dainadra. Dainadrists in search of guidance from their goddess are known to come here shortly after the monsoon season’s end to embark on a pilgrimage to Wait Suu from the edge of Waitie Fori. The journey to Wait Suu is traveled by foot and traditionally involves ritual fasting, with the pilgrim carrying only the water needed to survive the trek. Dainadrists believe this pilgrimage brings them into spiritual contact with Dainadra, and brings them wisdom in how to find the path through life intended for them by the goddess. |

Terrorist Insurgency in Barrej A terrorist insurgency has arisen in the western province of Barrej calling itself the “Odmonian Matriarchy.” The primarily female terrorist group has seized control of several rural communities in Barrej, using chemical armaments and smuggled weaponry to kill local officials and to imprison or enslave many local men. The group has broadcast propaganda outlining an agenda to overthrow Odmony's legitimate government and supplant it with a misandrist regime.
The Odmonian Matriarchy is believed to have strong ties to the Sorority of Materna, the Marseille-based terrorist responsible for many recent explosive and chemical attacks in countries around Mundus and shares a similar ideology. It is believed that the group’s leader, Josée Adélaïde Favreau, is also a member of the Sorority, or is at least trained and supported by them. In a press release shortly after his return from Nya Åland, King Haivir has promised “the terrorist insurgency will be met with a swift military response,” and that the government “may reach out to KATAPULT to help coordinate a response.” According to Defense Minister Nasem Halba, “military forces are already being mobilized and a strategy is being formulated.” Fair Seas Concordant Ratified After signing the Fair Seas Concordant following the formation of the Pan-Albion Congress, the treaty has been ratified by the Halls of Law, having been approved by the Halls of Air and Water, while narrowly failing to obtain a majority of votes in the Hall of Earth. King Haivir has praised the ratification, calling it a “clear statement to the global community that we will uphold commonly accepted international laws and pursue a progressive standard.” Following this success, King Haivir has declared his next goal of this type is the ratification of the Uppsala Convention. Record Drug Bust in Pellemar This morning, Pellemar police announced the largest drug bust in the nation's history, as three shipping containers filled with blocks of saran-wrapped hashish and heroin blocks were seized from a Nueva Ardia bound container ship. For the time being, the ship involved has been denied clearance to leave port while officials investigate the crew and officers for evidence of criminal conspiracy. While the drug blocks are unmarked by anything except for numbers, it is believed their origin lies with the Faerpall Cartel based in Pellemar, and that they were being shipped to Nueva Ardia for distribution across Western Cotf Aranye and Ardia. |

Breaking News: Princess Elinth Kidnapped! This is just in: Princess Elinth has been kidnapped off the streets of Ephebe in the Dijel, where the Princess of Marreny was studying for a degree in Communications. Her one surviving bodyguard, Gairim Nurwe reports that the princess was attacked shortly after arriving at her residence after taking a University final exam. The attackers are described as dressed in dark clothing, and according to Nurwe’s descriptions, all or most of the figures are believed to women. As of yet, the whereabouts of Princess Elinth are unknown, as are the identities of her captors. However, state investigators believe the Sorority of Materna or a related group may be to blame, given the composition of the kidnapping group. However, such terrorist organizations have not claimed yet credit for the attack. The Odmonian Crown is offering a reward for any information leading to the Princess’s safe recovery. |

Feast of Saint Archibald Not Cancelled In a statement by Bishop of Karragul Randupe Pedderish, the annual Feast of Saint Archibald will still be held wherever the Church is able to do so in Barrej, despite the recent insurgency in the province. According to Bishop Pedderish “it is important that in these trying times that we keep alive the hope for a better tomorrow, as Saint Archibald held fast to his faith in Christ throughout the trials he faced.” For those unfamiliar with the uniquely Barrejan practice that is the Feast of Saint Archibald, it is an annual day of feasting and festivity held on the second Sunday of May by Barrejan Christians, conducts to remember the deeds of Saint Archibald and to celebrate his works in converting the Barrejan people to Christianity centuries ago. Terrorists Seize Karragul with Renegade Military Units Three days ago, terrorist forces affiliated with the Sorority of Materna seized Karragul, the provincial capital of Barrej, in a surprise attack. The attack took defenders by surprise, as the terrorists were using Odmonian military equipment and colors in conducting their operation, making it difficult for loyalist forces to tell friend from foe and sowing a great deal of confusion among the city’s defenders. There are also reports of similar attacks across the province, with Sorority terrorists launching surprise attacks on Odmonian military units while operating under Odmonian colors and using Odmonian military equipment. For the time being, Minister of Defense Nasem Halba has recalled all military units from the province until such a time that he “can sort out this mess,” and will be launching an investigation into how the insurgent terrorist have attained access to such a large quantity of Odmonian military equipment. |

King Haivir Announces the Establishment of Royal Petrochemicals After three days spent in the discussion with Shura Yakovlev and Rynath Lielor, the leaders of the Liberty Union and the Communist Party of Odmony, the trio emerged with a bill to create a state run Petrochemicals company. The proposed law subsequently was passed by all three Halls, attaining the slimmest majority in the Hall of Water. The Royal Petrochemicals Act, as the bill is called, establishes the formation of a state-owned petrochemicals firm to produce petrochemical products from Odmonian oil for domestic and international markets. The public corporation is to be 60% state owned, though 15% of the firm is to be owned collectively by its workers and the remaining 25% is to be sold to private investors. This state of affairs is to persist for ten years, at which point the Hall of Air is to vote upon whether to privatize the public corporation, and to revote upon the notion every five years thereafter if they choose to keep it public. The Royal Petrochemical Act also contains further provisions to encourage the growth of an Odmonian petrochemicals industry by making available low interest loans to petrochemical entrepreneurs through the Central Crown Bank of Odmony, starting in 2020. |

Barrej Terrorists Demand Recognition In a recent broadcast, the Sorority terrorists operating in the province of Barrej have declared the formation of a “Matriarchy of Barrej,” an illicit state. The terrorists have demanded recognition from the Odmonian government and foreign nations for their self-declared state, threatening more terrorist attacks and harm to Princess Elinth if this demand is not met. King Haivir has issued an official statement on the matter, declaring that he “will never give into the demands of terrorists. It only validates their methods and purpose,” and that “any harm dealt to my daughter will be receive severe retribution.” However, despite the King’s objections, a group of Dumatils in the Hall of Air have motioned to grant the terrorists the recognition they seek, arguing that the new state “would surely fail,” allowing Odmony to “reclaim the province in the aftermath.” |

Kettenak Researchers Lament Electricity Shortages A collection of researchers from Kettenak University are petitioning the government to provide improved electrical access to the campus, citing numerous incidents wherein intermittent blackout have set back their research. In the words of Physics Professor Kseniya Polzin “Do you know how hard it is run computer models when the power keeps cutting out?” Other faculty voice similar complaints, as well as students who complain about losing hours of work on papers and class projects. Members of the institution’s accounting department have got involved in a unique way, attempting to put a goradim value to the productivity lost to the university by such power shortages. The Ministry of Infrastructure has stated that they “are looking into the issue.” |

Opinion: Dartfordia, a Culture of Imperialist Exceptionalism? This is a published opinion statement by Patriot Party Leader Dumatil Asma Elhasa. Greetings my fellow Odmonians, today, I take out a measure of my time to warn you all of one of the greatest threats to peace in Albion and the sovereignty of our people: The Kingdom of Dartfordia. Dartfordia is a state which has demonstrated time and again that it have no respect for the sovereignty and cultures of other peoples. Repeatedly, they have arrogantly attempted to impose their own values upon other countries. In the negotiations that established the Pan-Albion Congress, they took a hardline in attempting to force the far-left provisions of the so-called Mundus Convention of Universal Rights upon unconsenting nations, attempting to bypass native legislative processes and the democratic wills of sovereign peoples. We've seen them lend aid to illegal efforts to halt Nya Åland’s traditional subsistence whaling, again showing their lack of respect of for the laws and culture of a democratic sovereign nation. Their official representatives, who formally speak for their country, have described non-Dartfordian cultures as being savage and uncivilized, demonstrating that they see such peoples as being inherently inferior to themselves. Frankly, I have trouble understanding how they can manage to tolerate the presence of Tytor in the Cross Straits Union, a country of morally upstanding people who have refused to bend knee to Dartfordia by signing the MCUR. Though I would not be surprised if, even as we speak, Dartfordia is plotting some way to force its will upon the Kingdom of Tytor. Clearly, outside that festering hive of terrorism that is Marseille, Dartfordia represents the greatest threat to the political stability of Albion. These people will not rest until they have stripped us of our ways and made a puppet show of our government. We must be on guard against this insidious power. |

Breaking News: King Haivir Poisoned! In a shock to the country, King Haivir and several of his dinner guest have been poisoned during an evening meal. Haivir remains unconscious in critical condition. The agent used to poison the King is at this time unidentified, and Haivir Girvin had been moved to Dijelibeybi for treatment. Officials believe however, that it is likely that the substance was of a botanical source. The man responsible for the attempt on the King’s life, Royal Chef Radolk Makorla, claims Altimmar allegiance and is being held in custody. He has refused to provide to authorities any further details of the crime, though officials suspect that Queen Orana was also a target. Fortunately, the Queen failed to attended the meal and was untouched by the toxin, as she had retired to her quarters that evening due to feeling sick. While the King remains incapacitated, the Hall of Air is mobilizing to appoint a regent to fulfill the duties of the monarchy in the meantime. Inside sources suggest that Queen Orana, Dumatil Rynath Lielor, and Dumatil Shura Yakovlev are being considered as candidates. Halls of Law Approve Recognition of the Matriarchy or Barrej In a move which has surprised all observers of the government, the Halls of Law have voted to approve recognition of the Matriarchy of Barrej as a sovereign state. The measure narrowly passed in the Halls of Earth and Water with majorities obtained by one net vote in both Halls, while in the Hall of Air the measure was met with unanimous nays. The measure is now to be moved to the crown for consideration, to be approved or vetoed, but with the king incapacitated by an Altimmar assassination attempt, the Hall of Air is moving to rapidly appoint a regent to veto the bill before the constitutionally mandated consideration period is up, after which point if not vetoed, it would automatically become law. This is expected to be the last action of the Hall of Air before the current session ends and new legislative elections take place. |

Queen Orana Appointed Regent, Vetoes Matriarchy Recognition Queen Orana Girvin, after being fielded as a compromise candidate by the Progressive Party, has been overwhelmingly approved by the Hall of Air, 78-22, to become Crown Regent during the period of King Haivir’s incapacity. Within hours of her appointment, she has vetoed the resolution passed by the Halls of Water and Earth to recognize the sovereignty of the self-declared Matriarchy of Barrej. She has also ordered an immediate corruption and treason investigations into the members of those Halls who voted in favor of the proposition by the Ministry of Justice. |

Elections Conclude, Patriot Party Finds Massive Gains With elections concluded, the Patriot Party has seen a large gain in membership among the population, growing by a third, and has acquired many new seats in all three Halls. Meanwhile, the Communist Party and the Liberty Union have seen massive losses in membership, with the former losing nearly 30% of members and the latter more than a third. Such losses have been reflected in the Halls, where these two parties lost a substantial number of seats. Altogether, in all three Halls, the Patriot Party now controls the largest number of seats in each, but despite controlling almost half of the seats in the Halls of Water and Earth, does not command a majority in any Hall of Law. However, the Patriot Party’s near-majorities in these two Halls grants them a great deal of political leverage, as only the combined action of all four other parties can effectively serve to prevent the passage of Patriot Party backed legislation. This recent swing in party allegiance is believed to originate primarily from recent events regarding the Sorority of Materna and their actions in Barrej. It is believed the Odmonian public in part blames the meteoric rise of the self-declared Matriarchy of Barrej on the perceived incompetence of the formerly ruling Communist Party and Liberty Union, while at the same time these events have stirred a reactionary nationalistic fervor in line with the core ideology of the Patriot Party. However, it is also thought that the recent actions of Dartfordia in respect to Nya Åland and the Pan-Albion Congress have also contributed to growth in Patriot Party membership by inciting anti-imperialist sentiments in the Odmonian citizenry. Chancellery Amendment Passed, Elhasa Elected Grand Chancellor In a flurry of activity, the newly recomposed Halls of Law have acted to approve a constitutional amendment proposed by the Patriot Party to create a Chancellery from the dumatil of the Halls in order to exercise the legislature’s constitutional mandate to advise the Crown and review its actions. Passage of the amendment was opposed only by the Progressive Party, close political allies of the Crown. The Chancellery is similar in concept to the shadow governments of many parliamentary systems, in that its structure mirrors that of the monarchy and its subordinate ministries, and that it is empowered to advise, review, and question the Crown and its ministries. The Chancellery is led by a Grand Chancellor, who is to be elected by the Halls of Law as the first order of business after elections, who then appoints a Vice Chancellor and a list of Chancellors mirroring the Ministers of the Crown for the approval of the Halls of Law. Of the various Chancellors below the Grand Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor, it is expected that the Chancellor of Foreign Affairs is to hold the most real power over their counterpart Ministry, as any treaty created by that Ministry must be ratified by the Halls of Law, whom the Chancellor of Foreign Affairs in principle represents. Following on the heels of the Chancellery Amendment’s passage, the Halls of Law immediately acted to elect their first Grand Chancellor, elevating Patriot Party leader Asma Elhasa to the position. Grand Chancellor Elhasa then promptly proposed her list of Chancellors to the Halls of Law, filling most positions with Dumatil of the Patriot Party along with some Dumatil of the Āzarati Moral Alliance and one from the Liberty Union as the Chancellor of Economics and Development, and appointing the leader of the Āzarati Moral Alliance, Dumatil Shahid Amirmoez, as her Vice Chancellor. Backed by the approval of the three involved parties, the proposed appointments were quickly passed with majority votes in the all three Halls. Pellemar FC, which has won three of the last five Odmonian Cups, has high aspirations for both events. Hangel Murders Continue in Chulettar, Local Police Baffled In the past month, three more Hangel families living in Chulettar have been brutally executed in their homes in the manner of death by firing squad. Despite growing outrage by Hangels and other members of the Odmonian public, the Chulettar Police Department reports that they have “no leads” in halting these clearly bigotry-motivated murders. Princess Elinth Rescued by SHACOG After being kidnapped in Dijel and being held captive in the Duchy of Marseilles, Princess Elinth Girvin has returned safely home to the Black Palace, thanks to the brave men and women of the South Hills’ military. According to Princess Elinth, she was held captive in a small room in a Sorority compound in Marseilles, and was force-fed terrorist propaganda during the course of her captivity. Holding true to the defiant Odmonian spirit, she made her own escape from the terrorist camp, incapacitating one guard and sneaking of the compound in disguise. In the Sorority countryside, she says that she encountered elements of the South Hills military, who evacuated her from Marseilles to safety. Students Protest over Cancelled Exams After Leak Secondary school students of the graduating class across Odmony have violently protested following the cancellation of final exams following an online leak of the exam’s questions. The source for the leak has yet to be determined, but Cartel hackers looking to sell a premature peak of the exams to the students are suspected. Once leaked, the exam questions spread like wildfire across social media sites used by Odmonian students. In the wake of the exam’s cancellation, new exams will have to be composed, creating delays in student’s scheduled testing and postponing graduations for many public secondary schools across the country. It is expected that more than 6.5 million students will be affected by such delays. Students responded to the cancellation with protest marches in Altinnir, Chulettar, and Cumoken, as well as in several smaller cities. Patriot Party Explodes in the Polls, Liberty Union and Communists Suffer Recent survey polls have found a continuing dramatic shift in partisan support as the Patriot Party continues to see large gains. According to the research data, Patriot Party affiliation has grown by an incredible 18.4%. The Āzarati Moral Alliance has also seen modest growth at 9.1%, while all other parties were hard hit, with the Liberty Union losing 20.5% of their membership and the Communist Party of Odmony losing 14.1%. As the numbers stand now, nearly 1 out of 3 Odmonians supports the Patriot party above any other, and the once dominant Liberty Union is down to less than 1 out of 10. Queen Orana Declares State of Emergency in Barrej Following Maternic State’s Fall With the Maternic State defeated and Barrej returned to government control, Queen Orana has declared a state of emergency in the region following a joint postconflict damage assessment by officials of the Ministry of Economics and Development and the Ministry of Infrastructure. Electrical, water, internet, and sanitation infrastructure across the province has been devastated by the scorched earth tactics of retreating Sorority forces, and local institutions, public, private, and nonprofit, were all purged by Maternal pogroms. In short, Barrej is in a state of complete humanitarian crisis. Casualties of the Sorority in Barrej include prominent local leaders such as provincial governor Jonathan Inoue and Church of Tytor Bishop Randupe Pedderish. Elections have been scheduled to appoint a new regional government for the province. However, the regional Church of Tytor has moved quickly to instate a new Bishop of Karragul, having named Chulettar native Alinath Vares to the position. Unfortunately, the province’s problems are not just limited to the damages inflicted by recent war. Even though their interim regional government has been toppled and much of their leadership killed, many Sorority fighters have found refuge in remote portions of the Barrej Mountains. Halls of Law Grant Chancellery Diplomatic Powers Claiming great dissatisfaction with Queen Orana and questioning her competence to rule, the Halls of Law have passed the Elhasa authored Chancellery Diplomatic Powers Act, despite opposition from the Monarchy and the crown’s legislative allies. The act grants the Chancellery the same power to negotiate treaties and similar international agreements as the Crown possesses. However, such treaties will require the authorization of the Monarchy for ratification as well as a vote of the Halls of Law. Defense Minister Halba Presents the Anukeli Today, Defense Minister Halba has announced the first successful operation of the Rekonie Anukeli. A detachment of the new military force engaged with Sorority forces in the Barrej Mountains a few days ago. They neutralized the group’s largest known camp, killing or capturing 239 Maternic fighters while only a handful of Anukeli were wounded. Following the disastrous initial success of the Sorority in overrunning Barrej and the Army’s ineffectiveness in combating the threat, Minister Nasem Halba with the backing of Queen Orana began a reform of the Odmonian military. This reform has culminated with the creation of a fourth branch of the Odmonian military, the Rekonie Anukeli, a small but modern fighting land force equipped and trained to deal with the threats the conventional Army cannot. Named for the personal guard of the ancient Marren kings, the Anukeli serve as an elite strike force for the Odmonian Armed Forces. Continuing the traditions of their ancient predecessors, each Anukel soldier is granted a broadsword inscribed with “Anukel” in the old runic alphabet as a symbol of their office. These swords are not mere ceremonial replicas, but are made of modern materials and designed to a functional melee weapon of last resort. Nasem Halba has high hopes for the Anukeli, stating he believes the force can be effective in driving out terrorist groups such as the Sorority, Altimmar, or Gungnir from Odmony. Queen Orana Motions to Fight the Enlightenment Queen Orana has submitted a motion before the Halls of Law to lend military support to the beleaguered Supreme Sovereignty and to combat the Enlightenment. Arguing that Odmony is no stranger to the depredations of international terrorism, it is important to take a stand against terrorism everywhere in Mundus. King Haivir Has Awoken Today, Odmony can breathe a sigh of relief, for King Haivir has regained consciousness. The King was put in a medically induced coma following an attempt on his life by his palace cook. Former Royal Chef Radolk Makorla, later discovered to be affiliated with the Sorority of Materna, poisoned the king’s evening meal and those of many others in an indiscriminate attempt to assassinate the entire royal family. King Haivir has only just begun physical therapy in Dijelibeybi to recover after month of being bedridden, and as of yet has not resumed his governmental duties. Crown Investigators Discover Shocking Truth: Chulettar Police Behind Hangel Murders Ministry of Justice investigators have arrested several officers of the Chulettar Police Department, including the Chulettar Police Commissioner Anidir Marsal, on charges of conspiracy, homicide, obstruction of justice, and hate crimes at the conclusion of their investigation in the string of ethnically targeted murders of several Hangel families in the past year. “What our investigations have revealed is truly sickening,” according to Justice Minister Tayyib Nagi. Suicide Bomber Kills Ten in Karragul Earlier today, a young woman detonated her explosive vest in a Karragul bazaar, killing herself and ten others. A second would-be suicide bomber, whose explosive device failed to detonate, has been arrested by Karragul police. The captured bomber has claimed Sorority affiliation, leading officials to believe the organization is behind the attack. The name of the second has not be released to the public. In response to the attack, Defense Minister Halba has ordered an increased security presence in the Barrej provincial capital, and has requested the failed bomber be transferred to military custody for interrogation. Odmony Off to Rough Start in MFA World Cup Playing in Sparta’s Crete Stadium against the team of the Fairview Isles, the Odmonian team lost one to three. The game started off bad for the Odmonian team, with the Fair Isles scoring two goals before the game was even halfway through. With the outcome looking bleak, Odmonian coach Nuh Ahmed made several substitutions and rallied his players. The Odmonians began to make a comeback, scoring one goal on the Fair View Isles. It was not enough the save the team though, as they scored no more goals and a last second score by the opposition ended the game at 1-3, a crushing defeat for Odmony. Odmony’s next opponent though is the team from Zimalia, and despite the setback of one loss under the belt, Coach Ahmed remains confident Odmony can defeat the Zimalians. |
