What are your guys' view on markets as opposed to central planning? Is it more rational or not?

I personally think central planning is better.

I don't think either extreme is good.

From my deep autistic desires central planning would be awesome, because everything is so neat and tidy and organized, but I don't think it would be advisable. I'd say let the markets do their thing, and take enough money from the rich to compensate the negative effects of the markets.

Still I am a huge fan of state owned enterprises, especially compared to huge corporations. Water, electricity, telephone lines and rails should never be given out of national hands. Of course socialized corporations need some free space for decisions to react to the markets, but since they should follow greater principles economic considerations should be secondary. I see one of the biggest conflicts of our and future times in the power struggle between the simple people and multi-national corporations.

So, essentially you think natural monopolies should be socialized?

I guess that is a fitting description.
