Just a few OOC points (below the divider is the IC response) 1) Is the plan to RP these trials? If it is then we need to put a few things in place first (most notably the confirmation of the Judges by the GA so the Court can effectively be open for business) 2) Regardless of how this is to be done we're probably looking at having to work the specifics out owing to a few logistical things. 3) Speaking OOCly Countries affected is by my count Verover, Achkaerin, Seaforth, East Moreland, Dijel and Safraen (or Soviet Safraen as was) 4) Additionally in the description it should read 'Verovian and CIS states.' 5) Safraen is no longer on the map- producing witness's from a state that is presumed collapsed would realistically be difficult. Achkaerin agrees with the proposal though we make it known that the crimes were not just against Verover and Achkaerin but also against the other CIS nations deployed in that operation- Seaforth, East Moreland and Dijel as well as the Safraen states themselves. |

With 7 votes for and none against I consider this to have passed. I'll be speaking with Verover shortly to see how he wants to proceed with this.

OOC- it doesn't matter whether this is RP'd or just reported in news threads etc. So now it's been thrown into Dave's hands shall we draw up the list of things we need- venue- since it's the ICJ I assume Rokkenjima judges- to be drawn up in accordance with regs from the current submission list (which should be submitted to the GA as an ongoing thread for confirmation) advocates (legal reps)- which nations are prosecuting and who is going to defend? This point is more related should the trial itself be RP'd witness's- regardless of how we do this we need to draw up a list of relevant people who would be testifying. Obviously the verdict and sentence are only relevant at this point if we are reporting the trial as opposed to RPing it. |

(OOC: I think that I should represent the accused, as I can explain their motives better than anyone. I also can have some Verovian officials testify on behalf and against the accused. Lets just make sure that we follow regulation the entire time. Personally, i would like to RP it.)

If we're doing this then surely Verover needs to take the lead setting it up as he'll be the one with most of the evidence.

I agree with that- ultimately it's Verover's call how we play this. Can I also request that while we have nomination for ICJ Judge's being open (in fact they've been open from the start of the CTO and should remain open for nations that join in the future) can I suggest that the names presently nominated be put before the General Assembly for approval so we would ICly at least appear to have a bench, because that court is about to become very relevant and very significant in the RP. |

I have a lot of evidence, and I would like the trial to be carried out in a neutral country without a Verovian judge on the bench. The only way I wish to be involved is by supplying evidence, providing the defense, carrying out the jurdict, and little things here and there.
