Antarctican Language Day! ]Today November 26th is Antarctican Language Day! Events are happening all over Antarctica today! On this day we celebrate the history of the antarctican language. When Eumend united the Kingdoms in 1439 the language of the northern kingdoms became dominate in most of the new kingdom. This day isn't just about northern pride, it is also about Antarctican culture and history. While this day isn't Union Day, it is the next best thing! Uchave Q'rene! Common celebrations on this day include shouting in Antarctican as loud as one could possibly shout, setting off dangerously big explosives for the hell of it, and eating the tastiest meat one could possibly eat, the mighty penguin. Today we celebrate our right to speak Antarctican, and all other languages of our great kingdom. Have fun and kolavbach! |

News of Democracy! After opening up to diplomatic ties new political ideals are beginning to spread through the region. Most nations out side of our state appear to have a form of democracy in which the people elect their leaders. Their has been talk in Gretlund about implementing a form of democracy into our great nation. In an interview King Pwll said "If we were do implement such a system we would take it slow and test it in local systems like a town." Though this does not confirm that our nation is heading for a different system it does mean that our leaders are looking at other systems. King Pwll also said "I don't think we would ever have a complete democracy. I think the most we could do is replace the House of Lords with elected positions." The king made these comments after being asked if a complete democracy was in the nations future. The House of Lords is not taking to kindly with the kings comments. One representative made the following comment "You can't replace us! Some of our families have held these titles since the founding of our great nation." A growing population in south Antarctica are showing support for the removal of the House of Lords. Stay safe Antarctica, Anarctican News Company |
