![]() DATE OF ISSUE: 1/18/16 "Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we are here to inform you." VOL 1. ISSUE 1. Scheduling Info: Mondays- Government, Health, and Sports; Wednesday- Celebrity, Media, and Global Events; Friday- Household(Cooking, Decorating), and Children ====================================================================== IN THIS ISSUE: In the first Sentebian News, religion, leaders, and the economy are discussed, as well as new or old sports. ====================================================================== TOP HEADLINE: All religion now allowed in Sentebia! Citizens raise money to build temples Jan, 18 - Citizens rejoice over a new legislative decision made today. Citizens are now aloud to practice their own religions, such as Christianity, Atheism, Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, and many, many more, including indigenous people's religions. Before this decision was made, the citizens of Sentebia were too afraid to practice their religion, and so they didn't. However, now citizens are asking their local governments, raising money, and signing petitions to open temples of their religion near their property. "It's really exciting to see this change, and I think this nation needs more of this openness. I hope to see great civil rights changes being made in the future," says Mark Rento, a proud Christian. "I am now aloud to worship my God." ====================================================================== POLITICS Compulsory Organ Donation Issue up for Vote We polled citizens to see what they thought about the issue Jan, 18 - A new issue is up for legislation today. That issue is compulsory organ donating at death. We bring you a prediction of what Sentebian News thinks the outcome will be, as well as a poll of what the citizens think. Our prediction is that the government will choose to make organ donation compulsory, since while non-compulsory organ donation does increase our civil rights, it keeps the nation safer and healthier.
"It's good for us. If I were to get heart disease, I wouldn't want to wait for a heart. I need one now. Not in 2 weeks. Because when a person is sick, they could die at any time." says Zach Neko. "Besides, about 12% of our citizens die of heart disease. That's a significant amount." "We are supposed to honor the dead. Not take their vital organs. I know I don't need them, but still, it's disrespectful to my body, my family, and my friends who want to remember me. Besides, do we really need that many? Organs, that is." Rachael Yenn told our reporters. ====================================================================== SPORTS What sport should Sentebia play? Traditional or Original? Jan 16th - As the nation of Sentebia grows, one thing is clear: Sentebia needs a sport to play. But here's the question- Which sport? Should it be something traditional, such as football, golf, or tennis? Or something completely new and original? Here's our debate for it. Traditional - Traditional sports are the way to go. They are good games that have already been made for us. There's no work needed to make all the rules, make new courts and stadiums and the like. Here's the best part: They work already. We don't have to revise the rules. We know how they work and that is well. Plus, we can play other nations. It's more fun and competitive that way. Original - Sentebia should have an original sport. It would give something unique to our nation, and might even boost our tourism. Sure, we'd have to create rules and such, but that would increase our love for the game even more. And, if it catches on, our nation will be remembered in glory as the one who created one of the biggest sports in the world. ============================================================================================================================ |
