 Ubakasan News Network President Massaquoi to Host International Leaders President Massaquoi released a statement to the press detailing plans for a large state dinner to be held at the Presidential Palace on Monday, with several noteworthy national leaders in attendance as the guests of honor. This will be Ubakasa's first such international event. As part of the statement, the president said that "it is time for Ubakasa to reach out to other nations, more than just the Kingdom of Tytor. While we have long had a mutually beneficial relationship, I feel that to limit ourselves to dependency on just one country would be foolhardy and naive to the extreme." It is believed that the Tytorian government received a direct invitation to the gathering, but flatly refused. Ubakasan Athletes to Join Mundus Games In another glorious first, Ubakasa is sending athletes to compete in the Mundus Games. While this will not be the largest delegation sent to the games, and may even be one of the smallest, it reflects President Massaquoi's new policy of opening Ubakasa to the international community. Terrorist Attack Hits Mzali - 53 Believed Dead A series of bombs went off in a crowded square in Mzali this morning, killing as many as 53 people and wounding almost 200, many critically. The square in question, located in the Mwangi sector, was set up for Market Day, and most of the victims were shoppers. President Massaquoi was quick to denounce the attacks, telling UNN that "There will be swift vengeance for this cowardly act. This is a nation of peace and harmony, and there is no place here for terrorism." While no claims of responsibility have yet been made, the government has identified the National Liberation Army, a Mauxi guerrilla force, as the most likely culprit. Ubakasan News Network BREAKING: Presidential Jet Shot Down - President Massaquoi Presumed Dead This just in: minutes ago, President Massaquoi's private jet was shot down over Kalabuto, crashing on the grounds of the Presidential Palace. President Massaquoi, who was due to make a visit to Zimalia today, is believed to have been aboard the plane and is presumed dead. Unofficial speculation pins the act on the NLA, the MDF, or the NKPA, but these rumors are not verified at present. If President Massaquoi's death is confirmed, Vice President Charles Kenyatta will become Acting President until emergency elections can be held.
