Alright, so after Epanastasia and I changed our avatars, I came up with the idea of having an Assassin's Brotherhood in various nations across Mundus. Although the Brotherhood was founded during the Crusades, I think a Brotherhood having origins ancient Sparta after overthrowing the Tyrants would make much more sense, considering how the revolutionaries founded the first(I think) democracy in Mundus.

Thoughts? Note that if we do start an RP I may not have the times to commit fully. |

Since you're the Greek of Mundus, then it would be logical for democracy to have it's roots there. However, the Ardian Empire is modeled similar to Rome(at least in it's early says) and many fundamental ideals for modern governments, such as Republics, can come from there too. I think this would be something interesting to play out in the proposed Project History, however I don't think you'll everyone on board, the farthest you'd likely get is to have this brotherhood contained in Sparta or other's who've played assassins creed. I did discuss the idea of having a Mundus version of the Crusades once with Rhodes, since northern Albion seems to be our answer to the middle east. I'll just throw that out there; I've played some of the AC series, but I wouldn't consider myself much of a fan. But if you're looking to recreate the events of the original, consider the location volunteered

GJ has his own version of the Crusades, however I think the Mundus Brotherhood would be a lot older than the brotherhood in the AC series, because of possible ancient Spartan origins. Also, I'm thinking of having a Spartan version of Altair named Aetos, a highly trained Spartan assassin who, in the wake of the Spartan Civil War, creates the Brotherhood as a way to stop anything like the Tyrants from returning. Note that I'm literally making this up as I go along as I typically come up with these ideas when I have priorities/work due. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. |

The Crusades would have been in Tziyon, the Mundusian Israel, but Sparta, as the Mundusian Greece, would definitely have a large part in this.

Assassins in Epanastasia: The assassins have played a large part in the founding of Epanastasia (though most people believe it's an urban legend). They sparked the revolution, and rallied the people. It's also speculated that the tyrant king possessed a piece of Eden, and used it to keep his troops from joining the revolutionaries. Furthermore, Stenmark Feyfield (Alphonse's dad) was actually part of the modern day assassin network before disappearing. |

I was thinking of the Templars being the descendants of the Tyrants of Sparta, similar to the Arbiters, except the Templars are highly secretive and operate worldwide. Note that having any monarchs such as King David and Beatrice being Templars would probably be unrealistic due to ancient lineage, however it could be possible for a Templar to be intermarried into a royal family. |

A little bit I wrote about the origins of the Brotherhood and the Templars. Litrosi, a war cry by the Spartan Assassin revolutionaries, was represented by the symbol uppercase lambda. It stood for liberation from the Tyrants. It eventually evolved into the modern Brotherhood symbol. The Brotherhood was founded by Spartan Assassins following the fall of the Tyrants. The Spartan Assassins were originally warriors trained in assassination, sabotage, parkour, and stealth, and were taught to think creatively. However, they resented the Tyrants' rule, and assissted Lycurgus with overthrowing the Tyrants. They founded the Brotherhood and took the Lambda as their symbol, and vowed to keep anything like the Tyrants from rising again. The Templars were founded by a splinter group of the Tyrants. While the Arbiters left to create Hexis and other Tyrants fled to New Knossos, the Templars fled to Olympia, where they manipulated the Olympian priests from the shadows, beginning the Templars' tradition of manipulating authority from the shadows. They were called the Templars by the Brotherhood due to their association with the Temples, and the Templars themselves later adopted that name. |
