Odessa, Texas, a town of 100,000 in the middle of a horrid polluted barren desert where either the oil industry was in a bust and the local economy was in shambles or gas prices went up and the economy thrived. That said it's a really terrible place, some people say San Angelo is the armpit of Texas, well, no that would be Odessa, you know you're driving up on Odessa because it smells like Shite, literally(oil fields). Not to mention how insanely shallow everyone there is... | |

Err...London. I guess. I mean. It's big. And it has lots of trains. We lived right near The Den. Or Dartford, where I moved to after I was nine. That's less big. Has less trains. But Mick Jagger comes from there, so...it's got that going for it. |

![]() I was born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England It's famous for its church having a crooked spire, hence why residents are called Spireites. The spire twists because they used unseasoned timber which when they placed the lead on the roof twisted it a good 45 degrees twist and puts it about 3 meters off centre, however there are three folks tales that people explain it with. 1. The local blacksmith tried to make a horseshoe for the devil and messed the job up, as the Devil jumped in pain his tail knocked the spire off centre. 2. The church was being used for a wedding in which the bride was supposed to be the most beautiful ever and the spire was keen to see such a beauty so bent over to see, the lady was so pretty the spire was shocked that such a woman existed and was frozen in place. 3. The town was told that a virgin was to marry in the church, the spire having never seen a virgin marry was so surprised he had to see and when he saw that it was infact true that Chesterfield had a virgin it was frozen in place......this however is usually told by the Mansfield Town F.C fans, Chesterfield F.C's local rivals. |

As a military brat, I can honestly say I grew up all over the United States. I was born in Yuma, Arizona, moved away at the ripe old age of two, and have never been back. I've lived in a grand total of twelve different places in nineteen years, up to and including two other countries. You want a picture of the city I was born and raised in? Here ya go: Now, you want me to tell you something about it? The United States is not really a city. It is the second-largest country in North America, third or fourth largest in the world, and is one of the world's oldest still-existing republics (the only ones that I can think of that are older are Switzerland and San Marino). The United States declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain on July 4, 1776, and subsequently fought a seven-year-long war with the same. In the nearly 240 years since then, the United States has lost around three out of over one hundred wars it has fought. More information can be found here. Why, no officer, I'm not being sarcastic at all. Where'd you get that idea?

I lived in a couple place, but always in southern alberta. Pretty much all the areas I have lived in looked like this:![]() This pic is just outside a town I lived in for 15 years and is 60km give or take from where I live currently, which is Lethbridge, Alberta Canada. It's a city of around 100,000 people or just under. It does have one feature that CGJ will at least appreciate. The High Level Viaduct. It's a train bridge that is the largest rail construction in canada and the largest bridge of it's type in the world. ![]() ![]()

![]() I was born, and currently live, in the wonderful city of Amarillo, Tx. It has about 300,000 people in it and fairly large despite how small it looks in the picture. It's not tall, just really spread out. |

I was born and raised in Vladimir (Владимир) Russia. It is right by Moscow and we have a lion on our flag so that is cool I guess. It used to be the capital of a medieval kingdom called Vladimir named after Vladimir the Great. The city houses a garrison of Russian Strategic Missile Troops (the ones with nukes) and has A LOT of white buildings. We have a crappy football club and an ok hockey team. We have a pretty cool church too. |

I am born in Kuala Lumpur, metropolis of Malaysia. We have some interesting buildings, 1) The tallest twin towers on this planet (for now). Named, KLCC, stands for Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. The most interesting is, this building is not just for show, Malaysia is the country with the second highest number of lightning strikes in the world which centered in Kuala Lumpur. This KLCC building materials are made by electric conductors. ![]() ![]() 2) National Mosque, ![]() 3) Kuala Lumpur Tower (used to be Asia's tallest but no longer). ![]() 4) Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad. This is the location that the first time Union Jack flag has been lowered and replaced by Malaysian flag for the first Independence Celebration in 1957. ![]() But in 2006, my family moved to a more rural state in Selangor. |

Elmhurst, Queens, NYC. The most stable neighbourhood in the whole city in the most ethnically diverse borough. Not much to do in Queens (tourists usually stay in Manhattan because it's much more I now live in a college campus in Virginia after my family moved to Virginia a few years ago. ![]() Do you recognize this thing? It's the Unisphere in Flushing Meadows Park in Queens. USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre. The US Opens are played here. Edited by MikeRaven, 20th March 2016 - 02:09 PM.
