KCNN HeadlinesKCNN Online Kazarovian Refugee Crisis - Should the Borders be Closed The Korian Patriot Organisation (KPO) is petitioning the Government to close borders. Although there is no need for the UKDP to heed this platform, it draws the first of many battle lines leading up to the next election cycle. Pollsters from the Argo Guardian newspaper show a spike in support for the formerly fringe KPO party, as public sentiment shifts from charitable acceptance to a more conservative view of the foreigners. the following is a short excerpt from KPO Leader Iman Hellstrom's speech before the Council of 6 "The violent repressive regime of Kazarovia has been overthrown and the human cost has been levied but what of the cost to our nation. Our shores have been flooded by members of the rebellion. Korion public services have been pushed to their limit. How long until it breaks, members of the Valakai minority have long argued for the same concessions that were handed to Kazarovians as they stepped of the boat. The time is now for these visitors to integrate or immigrate." UKDP Leader Nella Lunjberg could not be reached for comment. Her office released the following statement. "UKDP has long held the view, along with the majority of our Korion brethren, that our land is strengthened by the diverse heritage of our nation, former Kazarovian Rebels fought for freedom from oppression and we granted that freedom. Our strength protects all who reside here, our compassion cares for all who call our nation home." More on this story as we head towards the upcoming election. |
