Emperor Lucian has stated that he has been involved with Julie Farenstrom for several months and is now engaged to her. Julie Farenstrom as we all know is one of the top Gh0st operatives for the Imperium. She has also been Emperor Lucian's top aid and confidant. Emperor Lucian also went to state that he wishes that the people of Protoa will believe in Julie as they have believed in him. Let us take a moment to congratulate our glorious Emperor! Protoan News Network Special Report We interrupt your regularly scheduled broadcast to bring you distressing news. There was a large explosion today at the Primm/Sorboldistan Border Wall. A least 3 soldiers were killed on the wall and 2 soldiers in a guard post near the wall. A command center was also attacked by masked assailants who opened fire on the building and killed all personnel inside. A group called The Sorboldistan Liberation Alliance is claiming responsibility for this heinous act on our nation. The SLA has been demanding Sorboldistan independence since the annexation of Sorboldistan after the Sorbold war. Emperor Lucian has begun deploying troops from Isenfrost immediately and will hope to contain the issue as soon as possible. |

 Protoan News Update The Sorboldistan Conflict After a failed invasion of Protoa and The United Spartan States, the SLA have hunkered themselves into the city of Bogovich. It is here that Protoa, the Sorboldistan Unification Front, and Sparta troops are battling the SLA street to street for control. The city of Bogovich has been devastated by massive bombardment on both sides of the conflict. The Imperium and the SUF have both agreed after the completion of this conflict that the region of Primm will be renamed Sorboldistan and be placed entirely under Imperial rule. We all pray for the end of the conflict as soon as possible and will update you as the need arrives. Thank you. |

 The Imperium of Protoa has officially joined the West Ardian Forum (WAF) with the nations of Uí Ceinnselaig, Cantabria, South Hills, and Sparta to bring prosperity and security to the Western territories of Ardia. The Emperor stated that he is pleased with the results of the Forum and said, "In Unity we shall find peace." The Empress commented that the WAF would, "ensure that all lives in the Forum would be protected from an increasingly unstable Eastern Ardia." |

 The Imperium Department of Defense has stated that it plans to increase funding to finance the building of at 15 more warships (2 Protos class Battleships, 2 Hammer class aircraft carriers, and 3 Hydra class cruisers) and 50 Cobra Stealth fighters. Official costs are estimated at 12 billion Throne Gelts. Saren Arteris of Foreign Affairs stated that the expenditures were necessary for stability in West Ardia due the instability and potential collapse of Eastern Ardia. Arteris also stated that instead of Weapons of Mass Destruction, the Imperium has taken a more conventional but aggressive stance in defending the Empire. Spoiler: click to toggle In other news, the PD 5000 Dragon has shown promise in the prototypes but the drones are yet to see combat until the VTOL issues are resolved[1]. The unit has been through several phases and it has been reported that the mass is still too large to all the hovering jets to achieve proper lift without completely draining the battery cells. The Emperor is currently in Ui Ceinnselaig for police cooperation with WAF and non-WAF members. Emperor Lucian commented that he had high hopes that the WAF and the other nations of Ardia could reach an agreement soon. |

 After years of depending on coal and gas energy in Yagerton, The Imperium has begun production of a new nuclear power plant to provide clean power to the citizens of Yagerton. Upon its completion, it will create up to 2,600 MW of power and provide 700 jobs to the people of Yagerton and surrounding cities. The regional government of Yagers expressed their delight that a new energy source be provided. Yagerton has experienced severe issues with air pollution in its past- hopefully to be corrected by the elimination of polluting power plants. |

 The Imperium of Protoa has successfully launched the first of many rockets carrying a communication satellite to the upper atmosphere of Mundus today. Due to the success of the mission, plans for up to 20 additional satellites could be launched in the next 3 years. The Oculus autem angelus, AKA the Eyes of the Angel, will provide the Empire with communication, telecom, and possibly military usage. Chancellor Jim Osborne commented on the launch, stating, "The Imperium has plans to explore the skies above Mundus, to help communicate with our people, and to provide them the security that they deserve." In other news, the newest intranet and internet security program has reached its completion in Summers Land. The HUB, as it is known will provide necessary protection against outside entities while providing real time access and communication to the entire world. The Imperium has offered to have the system installed into preexisting platforms in the nations of Mundus. Nations that are interested in the new endeavor should contact the Empire at their earliest convenience. |

Protoa To Join Cross Mundus Agency and closes off diplomatic relations to Nova Ardian Republic. The Imperium of Protoa has expressed interest to join the Cross Mundus Agency, citing the failings of the Commonwealth Treaty Organization and fellow CTO nations attempting to infringe upon national sovereignty. The Emperor has personally attending the CMA meeting with hopes to establish friendships with the nations present for the meeting. The Emperor has also stated that any attempts for a diplomatic resolution for the Nova Ardian Republic is nil following the nation's illicit occupation of the Ionia Confederacy city of Vienra. The WAF has placed a statement ordering the Nova Republic to withdraw from the Ionian Confederacy or face sanctions and possible military actions. |

 The Protoan 2nd fleet has set sail from Yagerton today, intending to enter the Ionian Confederacy waters to provide humanitarian and military aid to the Ionians. The Ardian republic has blatantly refused to respond to the WAF demands of an immediate withdrawal from Vienra. The Imperium of Protoa has stated that economic sanctions may not be enough to force the Ardian's hand. The 2nd fleet's route will bring it close to the Rokkenjima border but Protoan military officials state they doubt the Rokkenjimans will become involved. The Trial of the Felysian Queen Begins The trial of our time: Supreme Empire of the North and allies Vs Queen Victricia of Felysia. All Protoans remember The Logos. We will remember her destruction and the lives lost on that vessel. May Victricia burn for her sins. The Emperor has stated that Honorable Admiral Frank Holt of the 3rd Protoan Fleet is one of the judges for the trial. May his judgement be true for all Protoan lives. |

 Following the signing of a Mutual Defense Pact with Achkaerin, Protoa and the Holy Empire have agreed on the construction of overseas naval bases to participate in global cooperation. The Emperor has stated that he is honored to have the Achkaerinese make themselves at home in Protoa and bids good fortunes to our brothers and sisters that will be departing for Cadia, the Protoan base in Achkaerin. |

Massive Protests In The Consensus Eliminates Protoa From Joining CTO  Following a formal meeting in The Consensus, the Emperor has listened to the legislative advisement council and decreed that the CTO would not be in the best interests of Protoa. The Emperor has also stated that Protoa has joined the Imperial Alliance with the Supreme Empire of the North. It is known that the Emperor did not favor the CTO in the past, due to the many instances that the Commonwealth Treaty Organization has pledged support and has failed to act. Despite these shortcomings, the Emperor brought his ideas to The Consensus with hopes to establish a resolution to join the CTO. Instead, the Consensus responded with malice towards the idea of the organization. When the proposal from the Supreme Empire of the North for the Imperial Alliance, The Consensus debated for 5 hours until voting in approval 18 yes to 2 no. Imperial Family Plus One The Imperium of Protoa will soon have another member to the Imperial Family. Empress Julie Lucian has stated that she is pregnant. The people of Protoa have begun preparations for the baby's arrival, despite being months away. The Chancellor has congratulated the Emperor and Empress with a newly constructed crib and has began consulting with several Protoan companies about the construction of the baby's room. The Emperor had been hospitalized due to a minor case of syncope but was released within the hour. |

Protoa Leaves Imperial Alliance The Imperium of Protoa has officially left the Imperial Alliance today, stating the need for a more independent Protoa. The Emperor has commented that Protoa needs to find its own path in the world and not subjected to the bylaws of an bloc. The only remaining pact that Protoa is involved in is the West Ardian Forum, which the Emperor has stated he approves due to the stringent independence clauses written into it. Military build up in Aurorbor and Morthal? Protoa troops could be observed in the cities of Aurorbor and Morthal as of yesterday, with several naval ships making port instead of patrolling Lake Escarion. There has been no official announcement from the Emperor or Imperium military as to why an increased amount of material and personnel are present in these cities. We will keep you updated as events unfold. |

Protoa to assist Satanica The Imperium has officially pledged to invest 2.5 trillion Throne Gelts in the Republic of Satanica's infrastructure and fledgling industry in order to assist the strengthening of the republic. The Imperium has also allowed a temporary suspension on tariffs for Satanican goods. Despite the large of amount of funds being used in a foreign nation, the overall approval of the Imperial populace has been relatively high. Protoan business has expressed further interests in investing funds to establish manufacturing plants and retail departments in the hopes of expanding business abroad. Protoan Fleet Remains In International Waters The 2nd Protoan fleet remains in international waters near the coast of Floodwater Island following an issue with fellow ally Achkaerin. Due to the CTO operations in Ionia and Nova Ardia, and with the Rokkenjima declaration of supremacy in the Rokkenjima Sea, the Imperium has decided to withdraw from the area to avoid conflict with Achkaerin. The Imperium has pledged support to assist the Dominion if the need arises. 2 days ago the Protoan carrier Invictus, destroyers The Void's End and Linda's Pride, and cruiser Darkest Day has arrived to bolster the 2nd fleet. Protoa to withdraw forces from East Ardia Following a withdraw from the Rokkenjima Sea to international waters, the Imperium of Protoa has begun to move its fleet away from the Eastern area of Ardian into Northern waters. This is due to the Emperor declaring that Protoa is no longer concerning itself in Eastern matters and pledged to strengthen West Ardia. The Emperor gave a formal speech on the matter this morning: "The Imperium of Protoa will no longer concern itself in Eastern ways. Protoa will strive to protect its people and allies. It will pledge to protect the nations of West Ardia and endeavor to protect the West's view of national sovereignty. We also acknowledge the right of the East's sovereignty over its territories and territorial waters. Furthermore, we acknowledge that the territorial claim of the Empire of Rokkenjima's territorial claim of the Rokkenjima sea. May you protect your territories of Ionia, Quintax, and Vesi with due diligence. We hope that the Dominion will find peace with the ongoing conflicts and we hope to conduct business with you in near future. We wish the best for East Ardia but the Imperium will not be treating any conflicts in the region with concern. Now to the nations of the West, I pledge to keep the region safe and free from outside oppression. To my people, prepare yourselves for any incident that may occur. Protoan Navy leaves port to assist Ui Cenneslaig The 1st Protoan fleet departed its port at Protos today to patrol the waters bordering Ui Cenneslaig and Scordisci in order to help contain the growing conflict between the two kingdoms. Since the war against the Scordisci broke out, Ui Cenneslaig had been accused of many charges- mainly ones that state that the nation broke the rules of the Uppsala Convention. The Emperor has stated that these accusations to be false, that his close ally and friend will be protected by the Imperium. The Emperor also stated that any nation that breaks international waters into Ui Cenneslaig territories will be subject to search and questioning or face hostile action. More information as this situation develops. |

Protoan military advisers push for increased naval funding. The Imperial Consensus has approved an additional bill to fund the need for increased naval vessels for the Imperium today. General Xum was the main spokesperson for this request. During the meeting, Xum had stated that Protoa's navy is insufficient to deal with the increase threats and security requirements for the Empire. The Imperial Consensus approved a measure that would increase the production spending of naval vessel to 3 trillion Throne Gelts over the course of 3 years. This is also in part to the Imperium pledging to assist Ui Cenneslaig in its current internal conflicts with Scordisci. |

Protoa-Ui Cenneslaig Lease Agreement Approved by Emperor Lucian _underway_2009.jpg) The Imperium of Protoa has graciously accepted the generous offer of Ui Cenneslaig to lease the HMS Daire Drechletchan, HMS Bandua, HMS Matres, and HMS Setna Airt to the Protoan Navy. The Imperium has been pushing forth to increase its strength on the waters and has even approved $3 trillion throne gelts over the coming years to build the new fleet. Although the fleet is in the process of production, it could take several years to build, time that is too long considering the conditions in West Ardia. The Emperor has expressed his utmost thanks to King Finley for his generous offer.  The Imperium Of Protoa is struggling to discover the cause of a massive affliction that is plaguing the nation and possibly the world at large. Hospitals in Cartesia, Bravil, and Androvia were quickly overrun with patients suffering from fever, coughing, pain throughout the body, and even bleeding from the nose and mouth. Dr. Jason Walker stated that several patients that arrived in the emergency room all had the same symptoms for 3 days before falling unconscious and then suffering from massive tremors. The patients then began vomiting blood before dying. Citizens are encouraged to report a local health provider immediately if symptoms begin to occur. Currently all travel in and out of Protoa has been suspended until further notice. |

 The cities of Cartesia, Bravil, Androvia, Teliograd, Zios, Kurokov, and Westengrad have fallen dark as Jakobson's Disease spreads through Protoa and Mundus. Citizens are prohibited from entering these cities for their own protection. Currently, the brave men of Protoan Center for Disease Control and Prevention are researching the disease in order to search for a cure or treatment for this terrible disease. Our brave young men and women of the Protoan Inquistion are heading to Cartesia in order to avert disaster at the Cartesian nuclear power plant, which is in danger of going supercritical. Protoan Death Toll Increasing As Order Breaks Down Imperial Command stated today that estimated loss of life is 7.7 million Imperial citizens as all communication in the infected cities has completely been eliminated. Imperial Command has tried to signal in a vain attempt to reach anyone in the cities known for the highest rates of infection. In the other cities of Protoa, thousands of patients remain isolated in quarantine camps that were set up to contain the virus. It is now feared that the virus had originated in the Cartesian International Airport. All nations of Mundus are encouraged to screen their citizens to help prevent the spread of the infection. Professor Jakobson could be reached for comments, to which he stated that all victims have 72 hours before the violent actions and destructive personas begin to emerge. Massive quantities of electrolytes and fluids will help prolong the nature of the disease, but no effective cure exists at this current time. |

 The Imperium Of Protoa can finally begin the recovering process following the deployment of an antigen that rendered Jakobson's Disease inert. The antigen was deployed via a surface to air missile that exploded at 35,000 feet- which would allow the antigen to spread across the globe and attack the virus directly. Professor Jakobson stated that the antigen would work on the uninfected and those with the early stages- although it is predicted to have little effect on those with more progressive cases of the disease. The Emperor has called for all Protoans to pray for the 15,635,785 Protoan citizens lost in the horrific epidemic. Several cities were lost to the disease and will need to be sanitized before they are made habitable again. |

The Imperium Rebuilds Following the devastation in the interior of the Empire following the horrific Jakobson Virus, The Imperium of Protoa is beginning to sanitize the dormant cities in preparation to reseed the vital area. Currently the citizens of the Empire are situated in the extreme Western or Eastern regions of the Empire. The Imperial government has since loosened all immigration protocols in order to allow more people of Mundus to settle in Protoa. |

 The Imperium of Protoa begins missile program Chancellor John Osborne announced today that the Imperium of Protoa will begin conducting tests for its new Intercontinental Ballistic Missile program. Currently only 2 missiles have been constructed, but several thousand are being put into production the Chancellor stated. Currently, Protoa only possesses several thousand Locust cruise missiles that have limited ranges. Chancellor Osborne stated that the DAGDA ICBM will be able to strike at Protoan threats across Mundus. The current payloads of the missiles are classified at this time but the Chancellor stated, "Rest assured. The Imperium will soon be safe from any threat that Mundus throws at her. We were able to survive the Jakobson crisis and many others. We will be protected from harm." One of the proposed designs that did not make production is being released here. The Chancellor stated that the design shown below is close to the final product but more warheads were installed to maximize efficiency. The effective yield has not been revealed at this time. A formal test with be conducted this week in the interior of Protoa.  |
