![]() A short summary of the current headlines on Shenkeni Radio & Television: 1) Benefit show proves to be huge succes Yesterday all our channels, tv and radio, cooperated with our commercial counterparts to raise the awareness of the fate of the people of The Union of Nordic People after the tragic disaster that hit this country. The show proved to be a succes. Millions watched and donated money to charity. The exact amount isn't known yet, but officials have confirmed it's a record breaker. The NGO's have given positive reactions too. It seems our nation will not let the people down on the other side of our continent. 2) Club Shenkengrad wins title Today Club Shenkengrad could win the title, if it won its game against RC Novanversa. Many citizens of our capital had gathered in the pubs and squares to watch this game between our nation top teams. The game started with one minute of silence as a sign of respect for the people of Rokkenjima and its imperial family. The game had a rather weak start. The second half was much more intense. Shenkengrad opened the score at the 52nd minute with a goal by striker Mortimore. RC Novanversa countered easily, with a counter goals at the 56th minute by their striker Moore. Moore kept the tension high, but Clubs defence didn't flinch. When Moore lost the ball to Scott one of the most fantastic build ups this year happened. The ball passed over the field, from Scott to Lakin-Smith to Littlewood to Mortimore. Novanversa couldn't get close to the ball. Club proved to be superior in this one moment, and Mortimore made the second goal for his team in the 82nd minute. The fans of Club Shenkengrad are in a delirium. One great feast is happening in our capitals streets. AB Seam Brewing Group had taken precautions and had supplied yesterday the bars in Shenkengrad with a stock for over a normal month. ![]() 3) Party for More Individuality (PMI) loses votes in latest survey The latest survey shows the current government would lose its majority. As critics have suspected, the PMI loses a lot of votes because of its inconsistency and not being able to push through its own program. Unfortunately for the CDSP and NSP these votes don't go all to their party, but instead seem to get split between the CDSP, LS, NSD and most of all the SGP. The Shenkeni Green Party (SGP) claims this means the government isn't acting enough in the interest of nature and that the government should abandon the plan to build a nuclear plant and invest and research more into renewable energy. 4) Harbour of Novanversa proudly presents new container terminal Minister of economy John Geens met with the mayor of Novanversa, Scott Novarum, for the opening of the newest container terminal at the queen's dock in our greatest harbour. This new container terminal is to replace the outdated terminal at the king's dock. The new terminal can process two million containers more by year. The SGP protested believing this to be a case of wasted money. The traders guild strongly disagrees and says this terminal is necessary if Shenken wants to open its economic and other relations with the outside world.

![]() A short summary of the current headlines on Shenkeni Radio & Television: 1) Politicians of all parties wish the new Secretary General the best This week there were a lot of discussion who to vote for in the newest election for the function of Secretary General of the Commonwealth Treaty Organisation. The discussion was to been seen and heard in every party and in every meeting. A lot of politicians supported miss Azurewind, but the numbers in favour of mister O'Donnell or to abstain of voting weren't to be dismissed this easily. In the end our president gathered his most trusted advisers and had a meeting. Nobody knows for sure what happened, but in the end they all decided to support miss Azurewind. A letter of our minister of foreign affairs, miss Montana, might have had to do with the approval for miss Azurewind. When the news of her election went viral, everyone who mattered expressed his best wishes for the new Secretary General. Insiders tell the president is working on a letter to the new Secretary General to wish her good fortune and to tell her she can rely on Shenken as an ally in all matters concerning the CTU. Our network wishes to join these congratulations: dear miss Azurewind, may the Commonwealth Treaty Organisation prosper under your guidance! We wish you the best of luck and fortune. 2) Internal strife at the PMI The Party for More Individuality seems to have attracted too much strong individuals not willing to compromise. The party leadership has five members deprived of the membership of the Senate to be replace by more loyal members. The deposed members do not follow the decision of the party leadership. Increased contact between them and certain other members of the party feeds the idea the party is about to collapse under its popularity and give rise to more new but smaller parties. ![]() 3) First aid arrived in the former Union of Nordic People Our soldiers have established a field hospital and the distribution of emergency goods to the affected population in the former UNP, now part of Nya Åland. The military hospital in Shenkengrad has been busy taking care of a lot of badly injured people, both civilians and soldiers. Unfortunately our effort has arrived to late to make a difference. The current order is to hold position until order is restored, meanwhile helping the local population with medical aid and the reconstruction of houses and other facilities, to retreat back to our own nation when our help is no longer needed. The NGO engineers without borders has offered to help our men in the field. The state hasn't given an official reaction yet on this offer. 4) Government to promote environmentally conscious behaviour The last week has been a week were different forms of government have created more environmentally conscious regulations than the last 4 years gathered. Shenkengrad en Novanversa have both created a low emission zone, where cars older than 15 years are no longer allowed or they have to pay extra. Individuals will be able to get a financial compensation for the installation of solar panels on the roofs of their houses. Several provincial councils have created guidelines for companies to lower their emissions. Even companies have made efforts. AS Seam Brewing group has constructed a state of the art water treatment plant. The farmers guild has asked to outlaw any products with glyphosate. These products haven been taken out of sale immediately. 5) Arrested and escaped on the same day Our countries most famous criminal, the smuggler Eric Heirbaut, has been arrested and got to escape on the same day! Military personnel noted strange activities around one of the Heracles C130's bound for the former UNP. When soldiers asked for ID's, the smugglers ran in all direction. This so often used technique by smugglers, which normally works perfect because police can only follow a few persons, failed miserably. Smugglers are not used to deal with soldiers on a military base. Soldiers have taken a look at the cargo, and again and again, until they were sure nothing had been taken or added. Clearly the smugglers were still busy with their preparations. Nobody is sure what they had planned, but General-Marshal Joris Bardugo has ordered a thorough investigation as military personnel might be involved. The current hypothesis holds Heirbaut was about to smuggle something into the former UNP. Heirbaut escaped on his way to the nearest prison. The police men were found both unconscious. Help from outside is suspected, considering the popularity of Heirbaut with a lot of the population. ![]() 6) CUG discovers new pain killer The faculty of pharmaceutical sciences has discovered a new substance to treat pain, in both the chronic and acute form. Scientists claim this to be a great break through, but also order to wait on further testing to see if there aren't any negative side effects. Several pharmaceutical have show interest in this new pain killer.
