 VIDEO GAME BREAKS ALL TIME RECORDS Last week, a fledgling video game business called Yertra Games released an action/simulation game titled "Yukai" which puts the player in the role of the conqueror Yuk and his campaigns against the seceded nations of the First Kilmerian Empire. Needless to say, the game shattered records across Davron, surpassing even last year's hit game "Radio Free Earth" by a million units. It was even a success across the continent, selling a million units across Cotf Aranye. After playing the game, editor Bruce Busaki said: "Art, just art. This videogame deserves to be a pillar of history." Indeed, with the release of Yukai, the PC platform has gained traction against its console competitors.  EMPRESS JULIE ICHLUND PROMOTING MEGAFARMS Three months ago, the agricultural company Relda unveiled a new product: the megafarm, a television-sized metal box which offered three months worth of vegetables and fruits with only a day's worth of watering. It has since been met with controversy, with environmental activists protesting in front of the company to pull the product from stores, stating that it is a danger to the already failing ecosystem of Mundus. However, Empress Julie Ichlund defended the product, stating that it is a way to improve the state of the world by giving food to the masses. To show the benefit of megafarms, her royal highness has even ordered the construction of a spire filled with megafarms which will revolutionize the fruit and vegetable industry upon its completion in 2017. We will closely follow these events.  NEW PROJECT PROPOSAL BY WEALTH ADVISOR REBAKA A few days ago, Wealth Advisor Ervin Rebaka has proposed a new economic project to the Council of Davron in Tormanyss. In reaction to the megafarms project of her majesty Empress Julie Ichlund, Mr. Rebaka has commented that it would be a delightful business opportunity for Davron. The proposal created by Mr. Rebaka involves using the so-called Megafarm Hive and replicating it to be all over Davron. The output of the Hives would be exported to different nations around Mundus in need of food, giving Davron an economic boost. Three advisors in the council have voiced their approval of the proposal, stating that it will be great for the Davronate economy and also for the nations in need of food. Only one council member, the Foreign Advisor General Ilona Ertrude has voiced her disapproval of the proposal. "It will anger the environmentalists," She said in a press conference a few days ago. "It will anger lots of groups. If his royal majesty Emperor Jahn approves of the proposal, which I strongly discourage him to do so, I only ask to only export it and not use it internally." In response, Population Advisor Yur Smithson who supports the proposal, spoke in turn: "This is a chance to improve our economy even more! Do you not want to make our country even richer?"  MYSTERIOUS VIGILANTE STRIKES Today, the mysterious vigilante christened the Mourner by the general public has claimed his first, second, and third victims today. This vigilante, dressed in a traditional Yukai mourner garb, has killed three convicted murderers by the name of Terry Hulim, Redge Opreti, and Qerton Yukai with a kitchen knife. The three convicts were found dead in the same cell in Qertin City Prison, even though they were several cell blocks away from each other, with clean knife wounds through their nose and neck. Police are investigating the identity of this mysterious killer of killers and are said to have already found a lead. It seems as though this self-righteous vigilante may not be away from jail for so long.  EMPEROR SETS UP NEW DEFENSE REGULATIONS Today, Emperor Jahn Ichlund has made new laws in favor of national defense. In his speech, his highness has stated: "The populace must always be armed and ready should foreign invaders come, especially when our nation is still vulnerable and our army is weak." Officials have agreed with his Majesty's decision, while pacifists and peace activists all over Davron have expressed their disappointment. The new law titled the National Defense Act or NDA states that every man from the age of 12-19 must undergo basic military training at school under the subject of Self-Defense. It states as well that guns will be issued to graduates at the end of training and that a new department called the DCA or the Department of Citizen's Arms be put up to monitor the recruitment and graduation processes. |

 REBAKA PROPOSAL APPORVED Today, the proposal by Wealth Advisor Rebaka has been approved by the Emperor after being shown support by most advisors, bar one. New Megafarm Hives are now being commissioned to be created in the Fertiland Region, providing food and exports to the populace. Planning has already been started, as ordered by the Emperor. However, protests are going up at the Imperial Palace by natural enthusiasts who want their food "organic" and "unrotten". Clearly, people do not want the Megafarm Hives to go up.  VIRUS TEARS THROUGH NORTHERN MOUNTAIN TRIBES Just last week, Danami Ukala has caught word that several mountain tribes in the Northern Mountains have caught a virus that have ripped through the tribes in a matter of days. A team of virologists from the DDCADD (Davronate Department for the Control and Assessment of Dangerous Diseases) were dispatched to the scene and identified the disease as a strain of rabies, albeit much more fast acting. Symptoms of the new disease known as Strain S-6RI include: reddening of the eyes, high fever, desire to touch and be healed by potential hosts, and asthma. Several armed teams were also dispatched with the DDCADD virologists. However, no word has been heard from neither the armed teams nor the virologists after the initial dispatch of symptoms. For precautions, several checkpoints have already been set up in the North by mandate of the Emperor to prevent any kind of transmission outside of the infected zone. BREAKING NEWS Last time, Danami Ukala has just reported the outbreak of a contagious disease in the North, spreading among the mountain tribes. We have now received a report of a search party going in and finding the missing virologists and armed men from DDCADD. A video has been given to Danami Ukala by one of the members, which shows an armed engagement between several infected hosts and the search party. One of the members came back to one of the quarantine checkpoints standing around the Danger Zone, wounded and seemingly struck with a high fever. Just before passing out, the member reported that "None of them made it." The search party member has been taken to Eragon City Hospital under quarantine. Checkpoints are now under full alert for infected hosts. UPDATE: Several infected have now approached the checkpoint, being taken under care by the checkpoint officials. Hospitals are now setting aside quarantine rooms to make way for the infected people. UPDATE: While under treatment just earlier, three of the infected have seemed to explode, covering the attending doctors with blood. The doctors are now under observation for symptoms. EMPEROR JAHN ICHLUND TO ADDRESS PUBLIC This just in, on October 22, His Majesty Emperor Jahn Ichlund has called a council with the Advisors, the only reason being given that "it is about an important law that must be given attention." At about 3 AM yesterday, the meeting was adjourned by His Majesty. The Board told the media that an Address will be held today in the presence of all who wish to attend. Several suspicious pieces of information regarding the law have been leaked on social media websites, with some stating it has something to do with the rapidly growing Church of Tut in the southern territories of Davron which has recently spread like wildfire. Other rumors have also stated it is about the terrorist groups hiding in the northern mountains, yet others are stating it is about the racial and cultural divide between the South and the North of Davron. Danami Ukala will cover these events. ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT AT IMPERIAL ADDRESS The nation was shocked just a few hours earlier when a young assassin whose name and nationality is unknown pointed a gun at the Emperor at the middle of his address. The gunfire resounded around the Palace Courtyard as the murderer fired up at the balcony, at the royal family standing above. The gun was inspected to be a Beretta Model 38 submachine gun. Luckily, the emperor was able to survive the attack with only several grazes, but the other members of the royal family were not so lucky. Princess Rina Ichlund, the sister of the emperor, was hit two times in the belly and is now in critical condition in the hospital. Prince Yervik II, the heir to the crown of Davron suffered from three grazed ribs and is also under critical condition. Miraculously, Prince Travis was able to come out unscathed. Yet the Empress was the one that was affected the most. She was hit with three fatal gunshot wounds to the lungs and chest area. She was rushed to the hospital but was dead on arrival. As of now, Travis Ichlund is undergoing counseling while Yervik II and Princess Rina are being kept under intensive care. Emperor Jahn Ichlund has ordered an investigation, shouting to the police to find the assassin until he is caught or the Emperor dies. As of now, the nation is in mourning for the Empress, and the Emperor is seeking justice for his wife. For those who had not tuned in earlier, a transcript of the Imperial Address is available below. FUNERAL FOR THE EMPRESS ANNOUNCED Yesterday, an assassin had attempted to kill the Emperor at the Imperial Address, which while failing to kill the Emperor, had managed to kill the Empress. Presently the nation is in mourning, with a funeral for the Empress being announced by the court.
